It is vital to assess the present state of traffic volume and anticipate the future state of traffic volume in this field traffic volume survey. The purpose of traffic volume studies is to determine the number, movement, and categories of highway vehicles in a given region. An attempt was made to grasp traffic patterns throughout various time periods using data collection. The characteristics of the traffic flow at that crossroads also have an impact on traffic control. As a consequence, the study's findings are valuable in controlling traffic at the intersection and giving some corrective measures to improve traffic safety in the region. Based on the findings, corrective actions such as road widening or enhanced public transit may be recommended.

It practical scenario, it might be required to process the handwritten images in the compressed domain due to due to security reasons. However, the utilization of deep learning is still very limited for the processing of compressed images. Motivated by the need of processing document images in the compressed domain using recent developments in deep learning, we propose a HWRCNet model for handwritten word recognition in JPEG compressed domain. The proposed model combines the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and Bi-Directional Long Short Term Memory (BiLSTM) based Recurrent Neural Network (RNN). Basically, we train the model using compressed domain images and observe a very appealing performance with 89.05% word recognition accuracy and 13.37% character error rate.

Poor acetabular positioning is one of the many issues implicated with persistent pain due to impingement, dislocation, edge loading and liner fracture, which may be lead to patient dissatisfaction after total hip arthroplasty. Material and methods: Post-operative radiological analysis of the version of acetabulum through X-ray images and CT images was performed. Pre & post-operative scoring according to Modified Harris Hip Score (HHS), Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC) and Oxford Hip Score (OHS) was documented. Results: A total of 55 patients were included in the study. The mean anteversion angle calculated on anteroposterior (AP) radiographs by Lewinnek's method was 23.48 0 (Range 11-39 0) and on cross-table lateral radiograph by Woo and Morrey's method was 22.41 0 (Range16-56 0), compared to CT Scans measured was 28.64 0 (Range 11.10-50.10 0). Conclusion: Majority 69.09% of patients had excellent functional outcomes in a range of 11.1-36 0 of anteversion compared to Lewinnek's safe zone. It suggests that there is flexibility in positioning the acetabular component than previously believed. If one has to err, it should be towards more anteversion. Infact to avoid dislocation, more anteversion is required to guard against unwarranted activities on part of the patient.

The geological strata at the cross-passages, i.e. CP-18 and CP-19 mainly comprised of silty sand and were completely submerged under groundwater. CP-19 was located below a vacant field and CP-18 was located just below a road junction surrounded by residential houses. Initially, forepoling and TAM grouting were carried at both the cross-passages. At the time of excavation, flowing ground condition encountered at CP-19 and some settlement was also observed at the surface due to ground loss. For stabilizing the ground above CP-19 and to fill any cavity formed because of ground loss, compensation grouting was carried from the top surface. Also during the excavation, TAM grouting was carried on the excavated face of cross-passages to ensure stability of ground inside the cross-passage. At CP-18, due to space constraint and the pre...

The samples of all the compositions were fabricated by using a standard solid-state reaction method. X-ray structural analysis using X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern/data confirms the formation of single-phase compound in monoclinic symmetry, except for x = 0.2 which has an additional secondary phase (called LaNbO4). The exterior morphology, composition and the elemental distribution in the samples were analyzed by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and energy dispersive x-ray analysis (EDAX) techniques. Detailed analysis confirmed that the grains are uniformly distributed and densely packed with a larger size for the composition x = 0.15. The presence of diffuse phase transition along with the polarization loop confirms the relaxor ferroelectric behavior of the samples. Impedance studies reveal the semiconductor behavior (negative temperature coefficient of resistance) of the modified samples at high temperature. Nyquist plot was employed to analyze the contributions of grains, grain boundaries and the electrode effect towards the capacitive and resistive properties of the materials. The La3+ doping of x = 0.15 seems to have significantly enhanced the dielectric and ferroelectric behavior with a decrease in loss tangent of BFN.

The materials were synthesized using standard ceramic technology. The preliminary structural analysis was done by using the room temperature X-ray diffraction data. The samples of higher concentrations (x = 0.15 and x = 0.20) show the development of an additional phase (i.e., LaNbO4 and Sr3La4O9). Studies of frequency and temperature dependence of dielectric parameters exhibit an anomaly and relaxor behavior in the compounds. The electrical impedance and modulus analysis of frequency and temperature-dependent data show the contributions of grains and grain boundaries in the resistive and capacitive properties of the compounds. The study of transport properties of AC conductivity has provided the conduction and relaxation mechanism. The substitution of La3+ has significantly changed the dielectric constant, tangent loss, and transport properties of the material.

A sampling scheme of 15 points was defined according to the hydrological behaviour of the basin. Physical parameters (particle size and volatile organic matter content) were in the range of those previously reported for stormwater sediments. Chemical analyses on hydrocarbons, PAHs, PCBs and heavy metals showed high pollutant concentrations. Microbiological analyses of these points highlighted the presence of faecal indicator bacteria (Escherichia coli and intestinal enterococci) and actinomycetes of the genus Nocardia. These are indicative of the presence of human pathogens. E. coli and enterococcal numbers in the sediments were higher at the proximity of the low-flow gutter receiving waters from the catchment. These bacteria appeared to persist over time among urban sediments. Samples highly contaminated by hydrocarbons were also shown to be heavily contaminated by these bacteria. These results demonstrated for the first time the presence of Nocardial actinomycetes in such an urban context with concentrations as high as 11,400 cfu g(-1).

This particular User Equipment device can undergo in various modes of communication such as setting up an uninterrupted communication particularly with the infrastructure and facilities with the help of relay mode or it can even transmit data directly with various user equipment with or without infrastructure support. This integration of two mechanisms of Deviceto- device communication and Vehicle-to-Vehicle communication has several advantages of obtaining Real-time traffic updates, Accident warning/alerts, Reporting of traffic violations and acts as a navigator in foggy climate. The primary aim of this paper is to build a new routing protocol for the proposed D2D-V system and compare its performance metrics with the recently implemented protocol. In this paper, we have worked through various algorithms regarding the message handling ability as well as authe...
