This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the IDEAL Problem Solving learning model based on open-ended questions on students' creative thinking abilities. This study is a quantitative quasi-experimental study with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The subjects of this research were class VII students of SMP Negeri 3 Kartasura which consisted of 64 students. Clusters random sampling was used as the sampling method. Data collection was carried out using test techniques in the form of pretest and posttest as well as non-test techniques in the form of observation and documentation. Analysis of the research data was carried out by normality test, homogeneity test, independent sample t-test and n-Gain test with the help of SPSS 23. To date, the development of technological literacy studies representing the dynamics and phenomen... more To date, the development of technological literacy studies representing the dynamics and phenomena of research regarding technological knowledge, technological capacity, and critical thinking-decision making has not been reported in scientific publications. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to present a bibliometric and bibliographic review regarding technological literacy studies. A bibliometric analysis was used to conduct this study in which 83 selected documents from the Scopus database published between 1991 and 2022 were the data. Some analyses, such as performance, citation, co-word, and co-authorship, were carried out to analyze the data supported by VOSviewer and PoP software. Results of this study revealed that the number of studies regarding technological literacy increased gradually, while the progress citations on the studies of technological literacy were not consistent every year. Evolution of Android technology can be applied to chemistry learning, one of the complex chemistr... more Evolution of Android technology can be applied to chemistry learning, one of the complex chemistry concept was solubility equilibrium. this concept required the science process skills (SPS). This study aims to: 1) Characteristic scientific based chemistry Android module to empowering SPS, and 2) Validity of the module based on content validity and feasibility test. This research uses a Research and Development approach (RnD). Research subjects were 135 s1tudents and three teachers at three high schools in Boyolali, Central of Java. Content validity of the module was tested by seven experts using Aiken's V technique, and the module feasibility was tested to students and teachers in each school. Characteristics of chemistry module can be accessed using the Android device. The result of validation of the module contents got V = 0.89 (Valid), and the results of the feasibility test Obtained 81.63% (by the student) and 73.98% (by the teacher) indicates this module got good criteria.

The research was conducted in stages, namely process of extracting honey pineapple peel was carried out by the maceration method using 96% ethanol as a solvent, phytochemical screening of the ethanol extract of honey pineapple peel was done to determine the class of compounds contained in the extract, and application of honey pineapple peel extract in dish soap formulation was to obtain a dish soap formulation with optimal antibacterial activity. Testing the ability of dish soap products to inhibit S. aureus bacteria was performed by the method of filter paper disc diffusion. The results revealed that the ethanol extract of honey pineapple peel contained alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, and saponins. The purpose of this research is to conduct a preliminary study to create a virtual chemistry labo... more The purpose of this research is to conduct a preliminary study to create a virtual chemistry laboratory innovation to optimize learning during the Covid-19 pandemic in the Natural Science Education Study Program of the Teacher Training and Education Faculty Universitas Sebelas Maret (FKIP UNS). The Natural Science Education Study Program of FKIP UNS itself teaches chemical concepts that require laboratory activity. This study used the descriptive qualitative method. Data was collected using observation, interviews, and analysis of related documents and equipped with a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with students and lecturers (Science Education and Chemistry Education FKIP UNS). The results showed that 11 chemistry practicums required virtual laboratory innovation in the Natural Science Education Study Program of FKIP UNS due to restrictions on the use of laboratories by the campus. It was concluded that a virtual chemistry laboratory was needed as an alternative to student practicum activities to maintain and optimize laboratory skills in online learning. In addition, the developed virtual laboratory needs to be embedded online and can be accessed through various gadgets so that it can be used anytime and anywhere.

The subjects in this study were 60 students from the 1st semester of the FKIP UNS Undergraduate Science Education Study Program who took basic chemistry course. This research was conducted in the odd semester of the 2020 or 2021 academic year. This research was conducted online and utilized the SPADA platform for viewing learning video. The data collection technique used a questionnaire. The use of questionnaires aims to obtain an overview of the effectiveness of learning video. Data analysis used quantitative descriptive with a score for each question, from 1 to 5. The results showed that the use of learning video during the COVID-19 pandemic could support online learning, namely obtaining an effectiveness percentage of 84% with a very good category. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan tindakan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X MIA 3 SMA Negeri 1 Teras tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Sumber data berasal dari guru dan siswa. Data diperoleh melalui angket, tes, observasi serta wawancara. The aim of this research was to determine the analysis of science process skills in textbooks of ... more The aim of this research was to determine the analysis of science process skills in textbooks of chemistry grade XI in SMA N 1 Teras, Boyolali. This research used the descriptive method. The instruments were developed based on 10 indicators of science process skills (observing, classifying, finding a conclusion, predicting, raising the question, hypothesizing, planning an experiment, manipulating materials, and equipment, Applying, and communicating). We analyzed 3 different chemistry textbooks that often used by teachers in teaching. The material analyzed in the book was solubility and solubility product concept in terms of concept explanation and student activity. The results of this research showed different science process skill criteria in 3 different chemistry textbooks. Book A appeared 50% of all aspects of science process skills, in Book B appeared 80% of all aspects of science process skills, and in Book C there was 40% of all aspects of the science process skills. The most common indicator in all books was observing (33.3%), followed by prediction (19.05%), classifying (11.90%), Applying (11.90%), planning experiments (9.52%), manipulating materials and equipment (7.14%), finding conclusion (4.76%), communicating (2.38%). Asking the question and hypothesizing did not appear in textbooks.
