Cancer can start in many different places in the body. It can start in the lungs, the breast, the colon, or even in the blood. Cervical cancer is the third largest cause of cancer mortality in India. The study is based on primary and secondary data with covering 56 sample in Hubli with the reference of KMC hospital. Social work has great potential to improve care for older people with life-threatening illnesses or those who are dying or bereaved. As previously noted Social Workers are the largest group of mental health professionals working with this population in both hospice and palliative care. Social Work values, knowledge, and skills are inherently consistent with the principles of palliative care: client self-determination, family and social systems, cultural competence, and promotion of social justice are a natural fit in the palliative care context. It concludes there is needed the Professional social work practice in the field of cancer.

Good health in adolescence is central to wellbeing and the bedrock for good health in later life. Young generation they have more sensitivity in their thinking, become attempting suicides. Ministry of Health and Family Welfare launched the Adolescent Health Strategy which serves as a guiding document for planning, implementing and monitoring adolescent health initiatives in India. The paper is based on primary and secondary data with the objectives of to understand the dimensional aspects of health, to analyze the socio-demographic profile of the respondents, to examine the aspects of health dimensions among adolescence and to understand the necessity of professional social work interventions among the adolescence. The study covers 140 samples size includes both boys and girls by self structured interview scheduled in Ballari district, Karnataka. It covers the age group of 12-18years. It focuses on professional social work interventions among various dimensional aspects of health such as physical, social, emotional and spirituality among the adolescence in contemporary period. It implies the adverse effect pertaining to have a good health. The paper suggests the role of Government and Non Government Organizations and for effective implementation of the Health policies and services to the adolescence in India.

First, I acknowledge and thank to Dr Deepa Joshi Assistant professor IWE group Wageningen University. Throughout my research work by being my thesis promoter Dr Deepa you made me to think critically and innovative. Your observation and supervision guided me to bring some of ideas which were born before proposal to well structured and studied thesis research. Thank you Dr Deepa for all your valuable guidance, comments, relevant corrections and accepting me as your student for fulfilling thesis research work. I acknowledge and thanks to board members of IMRD, Erasmus Mundus and European Union who gave me an opportunity to study and experience European society and culture. I convey my thanks to all staffs and secretariat IMRD namely Wim, Marie Paul, Mickey and Martine for their all kinds help throughout the program. I extend my sincere thanks to IMRD Coordinating staff in Wageningen University Jan Schakel, Marita, and Else.

The primary objective of the current study was to identify quantitative trait loci (QTL) associated with egg traits, egg production, and body weight in a chicken resource population. Layer (White Leghorn hens) and broiler (Cobb-Cobb roosters) lines were crossed to generate an F2 population of 508 hens over seven hatches. Phenotypes for 29 traits (weekly body weight from hatch to 6 weeks, egg traits including egg, albumen, yolk, and shell weight, shell thickness, shell puncture score, percentage of shell, and egg shell colour at 35 and 55 weeks of age, as well as egg production between 16 and 55 weeks of age) were measured in hens of the resource population. Genotypes of 120 microsatellite markers on 28 autosomal groups were determined, and interval mapping was conducted to identify putative QTL. Eleven QTL tests representing two regions on chromosomes 2 and 4 surpassed the 5% genome-wise significance threshold. These QTL influenced egg colour, egg and albumen weight, percent shell, body weight, and egg production. The chromosome 4 QTL region is consistent with multiple QTL studies that define chromosome 4 as a critical region significantly associated with a variety of traits across multiple resource populations. An additional 64 QTL tests surpassed the 5% chromosome-wise significance threshold.

To address this issue, I attempt to empirically assess three competing frameworks regarding these relationships: (1) the "modal perspective," (2) the "Mirowsky and Ross perspective," and (3) the "positive psychology perspective." Results, however support a "discontinuous perspective: "no underlying continuum among any of the three concepts. These results suggest that researchers need to avoid the common practice of "lumping together" distress, disorder, and mental health and study each in their own right. Subsequent tests attempt to further specify the relationships among these concepts. Results indicate a strong positive directional association from distress to disorder a strong negative directional association from distress to mental health, and no significant relationship between mental health and disorder. These results are used to generate a number of directions for future research.
