Previous studies show that, in general, gender equality across political life impact the income inequality of individuals. Women’s contribution to economic, social, and specifically political life has a significant return in contributing to reducing poverty in a nation, and more importantly, reducing income inequality. With the Gini coefficient used for the income inequality measure and the female participation rate as a measure of involvement, the dataset includes 42 countries through 2012-2019 with control variables GDP (Gross Domestic Product), FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) and the poverty gap. The appropriate empirical analysis for the panel data used fixed, random and pooled OLS, shows that for countries with higher female participation in politics, the income inequality is observed to be smaller, and GDP shows a significant effect on income inequality in linear models, while FDI showed no significant effect on income distribution.

Considering the issue of environmental awareness, common indicators explored are education level, age, gender, and income level. This paper aims to observe environmental awareness of individuals in Turkey based on the World Values Survey for Waves 5, 6 and 7. Mainly the preference of individuals on whether to protect the environment or economic growth has been chosen as the outcome variable, whereas education level, age and scale of income were used as indicator variables. The method chosen for the study is the multiple linear regression model with dummy variables. The study found that as education level is a significant variable in environmental awareness with a positive correlation. The variables income level and age were found to be insignificant.
