Fingers are the tools for the mind. The mind assesses the needs, evolves the solutions and expresses them as innovative ideas. The creative pursuit for developing further, shapes up as multi-dimensional results. The syntax of such an expression has been boundless since the evolution of the mankind. Archaeological excavations continuously amaze us with blend of necessity and inventions, be it the Stone Age tools, the Sanjhi paintings on the mud houses in the deserts or the Stilted cottages in the cyclone affected areas. Neither Creativity knows any barriers nor does the process of improvisation. The flowchart of progress is effected upon in the augmented reality. A logical control on the process of development can be monitored to be deterministic or random. The program of design development is measurable with respect to the environment and the users for whom it is done. The techniques to represent the designs graphically, are limitless. The choice of materials to be used is a derivative of whatever is available both in the design studios and at the sites. vis; the Sand Art, the Rock-cut caves or the Igloo. Hence the transformation from the Bhoj Patra to pencil and paper; and to the earnestness to adopt the pen and the Tablet or the Mouse and the Computer. The change in the medium of representation brings a change in the language and eventually leads to growth in the society. The advent of computers has encompassed every sphere of life. The Graphical media have adopted a new meaning. It has become all the more imperative to learn the language of the computers. The Architects are no longer practicing as individuals at the centre of the design process rather they constitute the core of the Construction Houses providing in-house comprehensive services. The paper aims to look at these languages, programs and their inclusion in the architectural curriculum at different stages.

expectations. A no. of toolsets enable the initial sketch scribbled as a component of design development process to
shape up as an iconic product. The more a designer sketches, the better is the refinement of the iterations. The first
revolution in in the history of communication, happened with the help of rock carvings or graffiti. As crafts evolved, a
legacy of creativity emerged. Skilled masters took on apprentices under their flagship. The latter would blend the
former's legacy with their own creative instincts while executing a project. This tradition continued till the invention of
paper and pencil. Different varieties of paper offered the documentation of the projects in different styles of drawings.
The era of “Graphics” had arrived as a breath of fresh air. Calligraphy and development of perspective drawing,
supported the cause of "Thinking Design". The designers gained universally, as 'a recognized professional community'.
Industrialization brought in the printing mechanism, with the result that multiple copies could be easily reproduced and
circulated widely. The designers involved in design development, hailed the printers as allies to the deliberations and
consequent improvements.
Change has always been an inevitable part of growth. The advent of computers has furthered the morphogenetic,
generative and communicative features of Design. The designers are capable of delivering a holistic project while
iterating the multilayered sheet-sets amongst the Architectural, Engineering and Construction (AEC) collaborators and
also with the clients. Immersive Virtual Reality is adding a new dimension to visualization of a project from inside to
outside. Computerised Automatic Virtual Environment (CAVE) labs are opening up unbounded possibilities in which
every single element can be conceived in detail. This paper presents an analytical view of the methods of Design
Thinking and the scope of Virtual paradigms. It also brings the digital explorations to the fore, the indulgence of Design
Studio and the rigor of the pedagogical arguments within the design inquiries.

Imagery of a place imparts a sense of belonging to its habitants. The locals identify themselves with the surroundings, the structures, the landscape, the weather, the seasonal variations in the flora and fauna and the cycle of changes that they live with. Change spells growth. The changing moments are the memory makers. Memories grow from short-lived fun moments to everlasting remarkable moments of events that shape lives. Events inculcate joy, sorrow, pleasure, comedy, tragedy and such emotions into the memory consumers. Spirituality hails Moksha or detachment from the materialistic world. Civilizations come and go while defining their own era. The world changes for the betterment and the consumers tend to take it further from their memories of the past. In the race for growth, at times, they forget the ancestral values which were the reason for the success of their respective times. And as is the law of nature, life goes full circle. In the fast paced world, resources begin to get depleted and the consumers are forced to look back at the heritage for sustainable solutions. This paper is an endeavor to explore the folk traditions and solutions of the people of the North-West parts of India, where the most colorful and vibrant societies flourished, their attempts to live in harmony with eco-system and their efforts to preserve nature. The research will bring forth the amalgamation of different styles of Architecture in the religious buildings of the region.
