Two parts 3 of all traumas are connected to the chest and the mortality is second after head injury. The purpose of this study is to determine the diagnosis, survival and treatment methods of chest traumas in a single-center. Methods: Between 01.08.2017 and 01.02.2018, all patients with thorax trauma admitted to the emergency service of our hospital and needed hospitalization were retrospectively reviewed with age, gender, additional systematic injuries, diagnosis, type of treatment, duration of hospitality. Results:17 male and 11 female patients were evaluated with ages ranging from 8 to 84 years (mean 39.6). There were 26 blunt and 2 penetrating injuries. Etiological factors were fall in 5(17%), motor vehicle accidents in 19, assault in 2, stab wound in 1and gunshot in 1 case. 10 patients had pneumothorax, 5 hemothorax, 19 rib fracture, 22 pulmonary contusion, 2 sternum fractures determined. 25 patients followed up conservatively, chest tube insertion applied in 2 patients and 1 patient underwent operation because of lung laceration. There were no mortality. Conclusions: Thoracic traumas are life threatening injuries and should be treated immediately. Identification and severe of injury is the guide of the treatment modality.

They may ocur in any part of the body where the fat tissue is located. This slow growing benign lesion can be treated by total excision. We report a case of a 38-year old woman who had a giant mass on her back. Radiography evidenced a solid neoplasm measuring 25 cm in its major axis. A total excision was performed and the histology was consistent with fibrolipoma. We want to share our clinical experiences and discuss literature with this giant fibrolipoma case.

It is commonly occurs secondary to a perforation of respiratory or gastrointestinal system organs. Primary spontaneous pneumomediastinum is a rare and benign condition that can result from a peripheral pulmonary alveolar rupture. We present here a case of spontaneous pneumomediastinum that occurred following to a generalized tonic-clonic epileptic seizure.

These cysts are lined with secretory respiratory epithelium, and are similar to a normal bronchial tree, including cartilage, elastic tissues, mucous glands and smooth muscle. They are usually asymptomatic, but a cough, fever, and hemoptysis may be seen. On plain radiographies, cysts are homogenous lesions, but if there is additional infection, an air-fluid level can be seen. This is a description of a rarely seen symptomatic intrapulmonary bronchogenic cyst and a review of the published literature.

Surgery remains the gold standard method for this parasitic pul-monary disease. Here, we report 20 cases of pulmonary hydatid cysts that underwent minimally invasive videothoracoscopic surgery. Design: Retrospective original article Methodology: All patients who underwent minimally invasive complete thoracoscopic removal of pulmonary hydatid cysts in our clinic, which were recorded in hospital database has been extracted. Clinical properties and complications of the surgeries are analyzed retrospectively. Results: Minimally invasive method was performed in all 20 cases. The mean duration of operation was 95 minutes (min-max: 45-175), and the mean length of hospitalization was 3.55 days (min-max: 2-7). The complication rate was 15% (n=3) and there was no recurrence in 6 months of follow up. Conclusion: Videothorascopic pulmonary hydatid cysts removal seems t...

Embolization due to gunshot bullet is rarely reported in the literature. A 20-year-old male patient admitted to hospital due to chest pain where radiologic examinations demonstrated a bullet in his thorax. We learned that he was shot from his leg in Syrian civil war one year ago. This very interesting case of bullet embolism with its migration to left ventricle was reported.
