Thus, this research explores various criterions relevant to electric vehicle (EVs) adoption and causal relationships using the decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) method. From the comprehensive literature review, a set of criteria for EVs adoption were identified and are finalised through the Delphi method. The data was gathered from eleven experts and was analyzed using the DEMATEL method to develop the causal relationship between each criterion. The sensitivity analysis was performed to check the robustness of the model. The findings revealed that the key criteria for EV adoption include their causal relationships. It is observed that charging time, driving range and price are the most important criteria for an EV purchase. Battery capacities have a major and influential impact on other crite...

This research has developed a model to investigate the influence of TQM and I4.0 on SP. It also analyzes the mediating role of TQM in the relationship between I4.0 and SP. A survey was conducted among 240 respondents employed in ready-made garment (RMG) industries in Bangladesh. A Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) technique was used to analyze the collected data. Research findings show that both TQM and I4.0 technologies have a significant impact on the sustainable growth of the Bangladeshi RMG sector. Moreover, it is observed that TQM mediates the relationship between I4.0 and SP. The findings show that TQM helps to explain the relationship between I4.0 and sustainable performance. This study will provide a guideline for industrial executives on securing sustainability through the adoption of TQM co...

The ISO 14001 EMS has captured much attention by offering efficient environmental practices organization-wide and throughout the supply chain. Human factors (HFs) are crucial behind implementing ISO 14001 EMS since research articles about ISO 14001 strongly emphasize different HFs. This study proposes a framework that solely focuses on those HFs. Influential HFs are extracted through content analysis of related literature and categorized into 5 main HFs. Opinions from experts in the relevant field about interrelationships and inheritances of the HFs are collected and converted into quantitative data. Incorporating the graph theoretic and matrix approach (GTMA), the data delivered permanent values corresponding to the main HFs and their best and worst possible values. Among the main HFs, EMS Training has been found ...

Previous studies have revealed that UK SMEs are reluctant to do business with the public sector through the subcontracting route, but the reasons for this lack of enthusiasm have not been widely researched.Design/methodology/approachDrawing on semi-structured interviews with SMEs competing for public contracts in North West England, a qualitative study was performed, from which several themes emerged.FindingsThe findings were synthesised into a framework underpinned by attribution theory, to portray situationally and dispositionally caused factors that were used to interpret SMEs’ behaviour.Social implicationsThe findings can guide policy development and government interventions in developed and developing countries, aimed at using public procurement as a policy tool to develop the small business sector.Originality/valueThis paper ...

H... more Products, services or servitization concept; nothing is new anymore to the marketer these days. Historically, it is observed that the development of market has been shifting from one-phase to another phase in every 10 years. Since 1950s to the 1990s, the market experts have changed their focus from the production of goods to quality of products, selling to marketing approach, and products maintenance to service orientation respectively. In mid 2000s, the Japanese beverage industry has realized a big change, while many leading companies were diversified their business-focus and entered into rivals' core business segments. As a result, the marketplace is quickly flooded as same category products and services-integration concept became spotlight to the marketer in the beginning of 2010s. However, today the services offer by soft drinks manufacturer cannot alone differentiate the firm from its rivals that pressure them to rethink its business strategy and finding new mechanisms for long-term sustainability. Therefore, this paper aims to examine the current market situation more precisely, identifying value deficiencies, and proposes a conceptual "Relationship Business Model". Data was collected from three top leading Japanese beverage firms namely, Coca-Cola, Suntory, and ITO EN limited (CSI). The firms' answer to a survey included multiple choices and open questions about the current market situation, challenges, and key factors for future business success, and so on.

In contrast, value codestruction exists due to imbalance involvement between consumers and firm in cocreating of value as a result of misuse of resources. Previous studies have suggested while value co-creation will increase firm performance, value co-destruction will do just the opposite of that. In the meantime, the internet of things (IoT) has becoming important topic to study how value co-creation and co-destruction can be created. Therefore, it was expected the effects of value co-creation and co-destruction on firm performance can be better understood with IoT. However, study that has looked into the mediating effects of IoT in the relationships between value co-creation and co-destruction on firm performance in a single topic is still hard to fin...
