Critique on the Dalit Theology and its Approach toward Other non-Christian Dalits and non-Dalits, 2017

The place of the Western theological approach, which focuses mainly on scripture and traditions, seems to be overtaken step by step by
theologies which are formed from the perspective of the real life of the poor and weak people. These theologies are called Liberation Theology. What is Liberation Theology? Simply put, Liberation Theology is an attempt to interpret Scripture through the plight of the poor. It is largely a humanistic doctrine. According to this definition of Liberation Theology biblical verses, like the former days, are not merely read, explained and preached but they are also interpreted according to the day to day life of
people, mainly the poor, who need to be liberated from whatever oppression they experience. This can include not only spiritual, for example being under the oppression of the demonic powers, but also
physical oppression by the strong ones in the society. This shows us how the role of theology goes beyond the Church's boundary and its importance in the people's day to day life.
There are different kinds of liberation theologies amongst them are the black liberation theology in USA, the feminist liberation theology, the people's or minjung theology in Korea, the South American liberation theology and the Dalit theology in India. Some of these theologies in the course of their struggle to free themselves from oppression, deliberately or or without intention, they are sometimes found suppressing people who call them the oppressors. This is one of the focus of this writing. On this writing I would like to present critique toward the dalit theology and discuss the way it approaches the non-dalits, who are often referred to us the oppressors.
