I notice both the benefits and disadvantages of using technology in the classroom for students and teachers. The benefits include a more diverse learning approach and more time for the teachers to help students. The limitations include teachers who feel that technology is taking over their teaching role and students who become distracted by the frequent use of technology.

Some of the interesting features I describe include the bilingual community, language interference, and language maintenance in relation to a language that is becoming less common. There appears to be a close connection to the phonetics and semantics of this language. The Balinese language is unique since it is an accusative ergative language that is rich in suffixes.

The common aspects include the multiple shades of tone and the women's elegant features. One of the artifacts I remember learning about in history class during the industrial revolution time period is the cotton gin, which was invented by Eli Whitney. The cotton gin is a machine developed to remove the seeds from cotton. I was surprised to learn that even though the cotton gin enabled mass production of cotton, there was more need for slave labor using this machine. The cotton gin led to both positive and negative effects which I will explore in my research, since speeding up the process allowed for growth of large plantations in the South while slavery strengthened. Since the need for slaves increased, the value of slaves rose. A notable result of the cotton gin is enabling cotton to be a valuable cash crop, which is one of the inquiries I intend to explore as to why cotton was an essential resource on Southern plantations. The main question I intend to explore is how the invention of the cotton gin transformed mass production in the US industry. One of the evident responses is that the cotton gin improved the economy since the Southerners sold the cotton cheaply and made a profit from their manufacturing. In order to understand how the cotton gin vastly changed the production of goods, it is important to reflect on how cotton was produced before the creation of the cotton gin. The slaves worked hard prior to the invention, since the continuous process of planting, cultivating, and picking cotton is a relatively slow approach. Since the economy relied on agriculture after the Civil war, the cotton gin was a useful resource since it increased cotton
