The book has gained quite a lot of notoriety in the evangelical community evidenced by the many reviews already in circulation. There are so many, in fact, I started thinking that I already knew what her book was all about. Most of these as published were negative generally speaking. She had, according to some, written a hit piece. Most, however, attempted to balance negative with positive observations. Generally, one seemed to come down on her book either by affirming its basic assumptions/conclusions or unable to recommend in on the basis of its negative tone.
Modern Reformation, 2019
Getting beyond reactionary missions
Modern Reformation, 2019
Learning how to take a more expansive view of short-term missions trips
To the Place that I Have Chosen, 2019
Evaluates the book as a rethinking of the premises made by Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee.
Insider movements, contemporary missiology and emergent approaches.
Refutation of Kevin Higgin's theological and missiological approaches.
Common grace and Camel Method missions tactics.
Insider movements vs biblical missiology
Long review of a key text supporting insider movements
Predecessor to what I wrote in a subsequent book.

But in my world, Winter does not mean wonderland. Christmas is about Christ, and not the usual nonsense, but Christ still commonly gets overshadowed, even in this holy season for me. We had a Christmas planned five years ago; that is before our daughter died. Not much celebrating then. Mom travelled from Florida to Belgium two years ago, 86 years young, only to break her neck on our stairs. She is fine now and a reasonably sprightly 88, but Christmas had to move over. I hope you donʼt think that I am saying this to be self-indulgent. I mention it for two reasons only. First, I have been a follower of Jesus-a Christian, for very nearly 37 years. I have found that struggling is not a dish, served cold, only to new or immature believers. Second, I mention it because many, many, many people this season have more on their plate than me.
Addresses different approaches to church planting in Muslim cultures.
Review of a significant Protestant assessment of Eastern Orthodoxy.
Insider movements according to nationals not Westerners.

These do not address high profile sexual abuse cases. They do address what poor leadership looks like and how churches can address it.

This is the singular question of our time. The dimensions of the question are vast. We will consider it regarding human personhood separately. Right now, I want to address the question of identity regarding the Church of Jesus Christ. The church, singular or plural, lives in the distant aftermath of ancient emperors and ecumenical councils, of creeds and visible unity. If the early church's intention was to mirror the triune God in its own ecclesial identity as one, holy catholic and apostolic (the fountainhead of the Nicene Creed), that purpose and the unity it represented has died the death of a thousand cuts.
