Although women in low and middle income countries have worse situation they are least studied. Cardiovascular risk factors assessment and their correlation with angiographic severity in female patients is essential to take preventive strategy and timely intervention. Aim: The aim of this study was to evaluate the major risk factors of coronary artery disease and to study the relation of those cardiovascular risk factors with coronary angiographic findings in female patients with AMI . Methods: This was a cross-sectional observational study carried out in the department of Cardiology, Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) from January 2017 to December 2017. One hundred and fifty consecutive female patients diagnosed as acute myocardial infarction (AMI) who subsequently underwent coronary angiography (CAG) during the study period were included in...

As, physicians have a vital role in battling the CVD epidemic by counseling and motivating people to reduce their risk, they should also set an example by taking care of their own health. Objective: To estimate the CVD risk factors prevalence and predict 10 years & lifetime atherosclerotic CVD (ASCVD) risk among physician. Method: Data was collected for this cross-sectional study from 137 working physicians of Chittagong Medical College Hospital on 17 th January, 2017. The participants filled a structured questionnaire followed by physical and biochemical measurements including BMI, blood pressure, waist circumference, lipid profile, and fasting blood glucose. We estimated the 10-year predicted risk for ASCVD events (myocardial infarction, coronary insufficiency, atherothrombotic stroke, or CVD death) for the physicians >40 years of age and lifetime predicted risk for ASCVD was estimated for all physicians irrespective of age. Result: Most of the physician irrespective of sex had high lifetime predicted risk of ASCVD (68.4% female, 77.8% male & 75.2% total, P>0.05). Regarding 10-year predicted risk of ASCVD among the physician >40 years of age 24.0% female and 40.6% male physician had moderate to high risk. The following overall prevalence rates of risk factors were reported: current smoker 6.7%, obesity 86.1%, reported hypertension 21.1% and DM was 11.9%.The prevalence of total cholesterol levels e"200 gm/dl was 49.6% and LDL levels >130 mg/dl 46.7% , HDL levels (d"40 mg/dl) was 64.2% and high fasting blood glucose (>126 mg/dl) was 27.7%. The majority of the participants (61.31%) had > 3 risk factors. Only 14.59% had either no or less than 3 CVD risk factors. Conclusions: Prevalence CVD risk factors were high among working physicians and most of them had high lifetime or 10 years predicted risk for ASCVD events.

It contributes 30% of all deaths. 80% of those occur in low-income and middle-income countries. This figure is expected to grow to 23.6 million by the year 2030. Coronary artery disease (CAD) alone caused 7 million deaths worldwide in 2010. It is an increase of 35% since 1990. 1 Estimates from the Global Burden of Disease Study suggests that by the year 2020 the South Asian part of the world (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal) will have more individuals with atherothrombotic cardiovascular disease than any other region. 2 The exact prevalence of CAD in Bangladesh is not known. Only a limited number of small-scale epidemiological studies are available. Probably the prevalence of CAD was first reported in 1976, which was 0.33%. 3 More recent data indicates the CAD prevalence is 1.85% to 3.4% in rural population and it is 19.6% in an urban population. 4 The

unusual cry with a history of pneumonia 2 month back. After getting high heart rate on auscultation, a 12
– lead ECG was done and diagnosed as a case of supra ventricular tachycardia (SVT). He was managed by
using injection adenosine intravenously by which he was reverted to sinus rhythm. In this case, the treatment
strategies of SVT in children will be discussed with other option also.

Some variant present in early infancy and others present in late childhood. Clinical, biochemical and radiological evaluations are needed for a conclusive diagnosis. We present a case of MPS with various radiological findings of spines and skull which helped in the diagnosis of the condition in a resource poor setting like that of us. Key words: Mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS), Glycoseaminoglycan (GAG), Hunter’s syndrome

erythematosus (SLE). It has diversities of clinical and histological presentations. Hence, the main objective of this
study is to sort out the clinical and histological varieties of LN in a tertiary care setting of Bangladesh. Materials
and Methods: For the study, 30 patients of SLE with renal involvement were selected. Diagnosis of SLE was done
on the basis of American Rheumatological Criteria (ACR). After consent, all patients were undergone renal biopsy
and tissue was analyzed for histological type and presence or absence of immunoglobulin were also analyzed by
direct immuneflurescence study. Data after compilation analyzed by SPSS version 20. Results: All the patients
found to have LN were female and most (73.2%) of the patients were at child bearing age between 21 and 40
years. Anti-ds DNA was positive among all (100%) patients and antinuclear antibody was positive among 19
(63%). Among all patients 6 (20%) had ≥3 g proteinuria. The common histological type was found class IV,
which was 40% of total patients. A patient of LN found to have histological feature of acute glomerulonephritis.
Conclusion: In conclusion, it can be said that LN have varied clinical profile with different histological types.

Here the rate is usually more than 220 beats per minute and affecting both upper and lower chamber of the heart. 3 The child is usually seen fussy and sleepy than normal. Sometimes SVT can be detected while the baby is still in the mothers womb. 4 In that case, mother will take the pin for her baby. SVT is not a life threatening condition. Treatment is only considered if episodes are prolonged or frequent. For many infants SVT is a time limited problem. So treatment with medication could otherwise be stopped after six to 12 months. 5
