Direct workers often perceive little commitment to their company, and turn-over rates in the plants average; e.g., about 10 per cent per month in Tijuana. Other places like Ensenada (1 hour away from Tijuana) face turnover rates that are lower than 10 per-cent, but still much higher than is desirable. In this study we examine turnover and job satisfaction through a turnover mod-el. Variables dealing with co-workers, job security, and the job itself demonstrated a strong independent relationship. An analysis of data made in SPSS from 100 production workers within an outsourcing manufacturing maquiladora showed that the desire continually to seek a new job is positiv...

The methodological framework was based on three main stages: (i) firstly, a sample of 64 wineries located on the Wine Route of Valle de Guadalupe was taken, considering some aspects such as: location within, vine land, wine tasting room and area of production and sale; (ii) secondly, was designed and implemented a structured questionnaire integrated by seven questions, including different levels of measurement (nominal, ordinal and scale); (iii) and finally, the analysis and interpretation of data was continued by testing statistics and content analysis using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) V.20.0 software. Through the application of the questionnaire and data analysis the results showed that most of the companies are integrated as Capital Variable join-stock Company (25.9%), are micro sized (59.4%), 73.2% are familiar and only four companies are the largest wine producers (L.A. Cetto, Barón Balché, Emeve and Paralelo), of which L.A. Cetto winery is the oldest (85 years). In conclusion, the proposal constitutes and important contribution for the wine industry, particularly in Mexico, and as an analytical tool for future research contribution.

Although the mobbing factor has been widely studied, studies made in the outsourcing industry in Mexico are scarce. The aim of this research was to diagnose the degree of mobbing that the surveyed employees showed as well as individual differences among the employees that suffered this problem. This paper applied the Cisneros inventory. The authors tested the original 43 item version with data collected from a sample of 150 direct employees working at a maquila production center for Radars and GPS Instruments in Ensenada, Baja California. Even though results show low levels of mobbing since only 8% of the surveyed employees experienced high degree of the harassment, 138 of the surveyed employees have suffered at least one of the mobbing behaviors from coworkers in the last six months. Correlations showed high significance between the variables of the model.
