Performance Analysis on Licensure Examination for Teachers among BEEd Graduates in Dorsu-San Isid... more Performance Analysis on Licensure Examination for Teachers among BEEd Graduates in Dorsu-San Isidro Campus. Objective: This quantitative research study aimed to explore the Licensure Examination for Teachers results specifically compare the LEPT performances between graduates from AY 2017-2018 and AY 2018-2019, and to the national passing rate. Methods: This study employed made use of the analytical method of research, and documentary analysis of data taken from the official results of LEPT released by the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC) in the years 2017-2022. In addition, this study made use of frequency counts and percentage to describe the profile of LEPT takers. On the other hand, percentage was used in reporting the average or rating of graduates in their licensure examination. Moreover, T-test was used to examine the significant difference in the LEPT performances between graduates from AY 2017-2018 and AY 2018-2019. Findings: When compared to national passing rate, results show that DOrSU performed best in September 2021. On the other hand, DOrSU performed low in March 2022. Also, the results from the t-test for equality of means show that there is no significant difference between the AY 2017-2018 and AY 2018-2019 in terms of their ratings in LEPT. Conclusions: It is recommended that schools should create a mechanism in monitoring the performances of their graduates in their licensure examination.

Objective: This quantitative research study aimed to determine the factors affecting the academic performance of students from DOrSU-San Isidro Campus. Methods: This study made use of a quantitative type of research design specifically descriptivesurvey research design. Mean and standard deviation were used in this study. Findings: It is found out that the set of factor that has the highest mean has moderate impact on elementary teacher education students' academic performance. Conversely, the set of factors that have low impact on elementary teacher education students' academic performance are personal condition, study habits, home-related factors and lecturer factor. Conclusions: It can be concluded that factors such as personal condition, study habits, home-related factors, and lecturer factor have low impact on the academic performance of elementary teacher education students. On the other hand, school-related factors have a moderate impact on the academic performance of elementary teacher education students. With that, schools and their administrators should look into providing students with conducive learning environment.

The respondents were selected through total enumeration since there were only a few teachers in the district. The survey questionnaire was utilized to gather data from the respondents. This qualitative study employed a phenomenological method where ten (10) General Education Tertiary teachers from Davao Oriental, Philippines, were taken as participants. The participants are teaching General Education subjects outside their field of expertise. Data were gathered through in-depth interviews and focus group discussions. It is found out in this study that teachers who are not experts in the subjects they are teaching experienced difficulties and challenges. As to the teachers’ experiences with Out-of-Field teaching, five (5) major themes emerged: challenging, difficulty in adjusting to the academic content of the subject, difficulty in addressing students’ queries, difficulty in establishing authority, and difficulty in employing appropriate teaching approaches. This netnography embedded study aimed to explore the peculiarities and views of online pedagogica... more This netnography embedded study aimed to explore the peculiarities and views of online pedagogical communities on flexible teaching-learning in the new normal. This study utilized netnography. The data were collected and analyzed using thematic analysis to extract the themes. The results revealed that the virtual space of the online pedagogical communities in this study is divided into sections namely About, Discussion, Featured, Topics, Members, People, Rooms, Events, Media and Files Sections where its members are divided into clusters namely, professors or teachers, entrepreneurs, school administrators, researchers, training directors and consultants. The cultural behavior of the members are centered on having collaborations in research and extension, discussion on curriculum matters, exchanges of teaching materials, professional development, and reflections about social issues. Further, the results revealed the views of the member of online pedagogical communities on need to exercise flexibility and need for curriculum planning and development. Hence, it is concluded that in the new normal there is need for flexibility in teaching-learning and need for curriculum planning and development. For the participants, these are needed to address the challenges faced by teachers and students. Moreover, these ensure appropriateness of teaching strategies and the curriculum being used in the implementation of flexible teaching-learning modality.
