He was not only a religious leader but also a political figure who 1 Muhammad, the prophet of Islam, lived in the 7th century in a different historical and cultural context, where the concept of democracy, did not exist as the political and social structures of that time were different, and decisionmaking processes were not necessarily based on democratic principles. 2 A country in South Asia, gained independence from British colonial rule in 1947 and adopted a constitution in 1956, which provided for a parliamentary form of government. 3 Allama Iqbal was a prominent philosopher and poet who lived in the 20th century and wrote extensively on a wide range of topics, including democracy, who also dreamt of Pakistan. 4 A concept of Muslims saying that all the Muslims of the world belong to one nation. played a significant role in shaping the political and social landscape of the Arabian Peninsula. To lead his people and establishing a strong and cohesive community, he built alliances, and ensured justice which served as a model for future Muslim leaders. The target population of this study was 65 male individual from Teaching Baghdad Hospital and 25 healthy male as a control with age ranged between 27 – 73 years. The diagnosis was made by the consultant medical staff, which based on a history, symptoms, clinical examination and other investigation. The patients groups were divided according to their age into three groups (less than 40, 40-50 and more than 50 years). Blood samples were collected from each patient and control and used for analysis of renal function parameters, potassium, calcium, liver function as well as metabolic hormones: thyroid (T3 and T4), TSH, parathyroid and cortisol. These results demonstrate non-significant difference in the TSH and T4 of congestive heart failure (CHF) patients compared with the control group. A significant (P< 0.05) decrease in the T3 of CHF patients compared with contro...

The aim of this study is to evaluate the physicochemical, thermal, and morphological properties of SPF after alkali and sea water treatments. The chemical constituents group and thermal stability of the SPF were determined using scanning electronic microscopy (SEM) along with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy was carried out to detect the presence of functional groups in untreated and treated SPF. The SEM images after both treatments showed that the external surface of the fiber became clean as a result. However, the sea water treatment affected the fiber properties physically, while the alkali treatment affected it both physically and chemically by dissolving the hemicellulose in the fiber. The TGA results showed that untreated fiber is significantly more stable than treated fiber. In conclusion, the results show that the fiber surface treatment significantly affected the characterization of the fiber.
