The study group of the research consisted of 34 participants studying at a private university in 2020-2021 fall semester academic years. Since the study is a descriptive study, survey model was used. The data were analyzed using the content analysis method, categories and themes were created. Participants’ perceptions about distance education were interpreted according to the determined themes and categories. At the end of the study, recommendations were provided about using the distance education process more efficiently and getting ready for the necessary change.

For this purpose, a mixed research method was used in which qualitative and quantitative research methods were applied together. It was found that the achievement levels of the students were positively affected in both experimental groups, but the students' achievement in geometric objects was higher in the experimental group in which computer-assisted teaching environment and enriched teaching applications were used in combination.

The study was carried out with 519 parents of children from 13 primary schools in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). From the findings obtained, it was revealed that parents’ attitudes were positive in their children’s education, with regard to “education, economics, recreation, affection and socialization”. However, the findings also indicated that for the “protection” function in a child’s education, parents did not display a clear picture. Keywords: Parents, child education, parents’ functions, attitude.

This current study is both qualitative and quantitative in nature. In other words, the mixed research method was used in the study. Regarding the teachers' views, the memories of these students in mathematics and music lessons were found to be "excellent". Also, their effective use of numbers and visual intelligence in music lessons was found to be "excellent". As a result, it was seen that there was a significant but weak correlation between the spatial-temporal reasoning states of children who played an instrument, regarding the mathematics lesson, and the abilities of playing an instrument.

In this study, which was carried out in a survey design to analyses the articles pub-lished in the Institute for Scientific Information web of science database be-tween 2010 and May 2020 and to determine the research trends of the arti-cles published in this direction, 100 articles selected by criterion sampling method were examined. In the selection of articles, attention was paid to in-clude studies on ‘STEM Education’ with respect to perspective of emerging technologies in learning. After examining the articles, the articles were analyses by content analysis method. The articles were examined in terms of descriptive information about the identity of the article, cate-gory field, article subject area, method, sample, data collection tools, data analysis methods and discu...

This situation may lead to negative opinions and attitudes among students towards mathematics. In this study, it was aimed to examine the mathematics study strategies of students enrolled at secondary schools in terms of academic achievement and multiple variables. Relational survey method, one of the quantitative research methods, was used to obtain the data. The universe of the study consists of a total of 9,072 students in the 6th, 7th and 8th grades of secondary schools under the Secondary Education Office of the Ministry of National Education and Culture of Northern Cyprus during the 2019-2020 academic year. In the study, the simple random sampling method was used to include 1,012 students. In order to collect the research data, the mathematics study strategies of secondary school students were used; on the other hand, mathematics grades were employed to assess their academi...

The quantitative data and qualitative data were interpreted using exploratory sequential method. The study group consisted of 20 students who took numerical analysis courses in the engineering faculty in a private university in Northern Cyprus. The data of the study were collected by means of an interview form consisting of common question problem solutions and open-ended questions that were asked to these students. The problem-solving processes of the students participating in the research were evaluated along with the solutions they derived for common problems and were analysed on the basis of the four different dimensions mentioned above. As a result of these analyses, it was concluded that the students understood the problems a...

Art plays a major role in the life of man. It is a means of effecting and promoting education. This paper intends to elaborate on the importance of art and creativity, and their role in the education of the Iranian students. By using an analytical-quantitative method, it has traced the impact of art on the lives of individuals. An attempt is made to establish a bond between art and creativity through the medium of education. Such artistic endeavors like painting, music, handicraft, and dramatic arts like literature, cinema, and theatre are important in promoting students' life and creativity. The primary objective of the paper is to throw light on the treatment of art and creativity in the educational system in Iran and to promote students' approach to life.

The students were randomly selected from the 8th grade of a secondary school in Northern Cyprus. One group was the experimental group to which the 5E instructional model applied, and mathematical modelling was applied to the other. As a data collection tool, the "Geometrical Objects Multiple Choice Achievement Test" was applied to the experimental groups. As a result of statistical analysis, it was seen that the teaching provided by the 5E Instructional Model in Experimental group 1 and the Mathematical Modelling Method in the Experimental group 2 increased the academic achievement of the students; however, the mathematical modelling method was more successful in the mathematical achievement and problem-solving skills of the students.

A total of 100 students studying in 10 different departments of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of a private university in the 2018–2019 academic years participated in this study. The data were collected by demographic questions, semi-structured open-ended questions consisting as well as questions about mathematics teaching in the 21st century prepared by the researchers and through the ‘Mathematics Anxiety Scale’. According to the results, there were significant differences in terms of the mathematics anxiety level of students who graduated from high school those have low average maths grades. Meanwhile, an average level of anxiety was observed data collected from the students by using ‘Mathematics Anxiety Scale’. Most students emphasised the fear of success and feeling stressful as the reasons f...

Within the scope of the research, the articles published in the database of ISI Web of Science and the dissertations published in the thesis centre of Turkish Council of Higher Education (YOK) were scanned and 7 master's theses, 5 doctoral theses, and 43 articles were analysed. In this study, the distribution of articles and theses by years, the number of authors and by subjects and the used research methods and data collection methods were identified. After the percentages and the frequencies of the findings had been calculated, they were presented in the form of charts.
