Indeed, the future of work is changing, and there is a growing need for employees and employers to recognize the fact that the skills of today will not be sufficient to operate in the technology-driven economy of the future. This chapter discusses the challenges faced by the workforce in addressing diversity and inclusion issues and the skills gap in the global marketplace. It explores and highlights the importance of a structured method of addressing conflict via an effective negotiation using a seven-step theoretical model, while dealing with diversity and inclusion in the workforce.

New classroom management requires diverse teaching methods for a changing population. Non-traditional students require non-traditional faculty. Transitions from student learning to the student experience and increasing student satisfaction scores are influencing facilitation in the classroom. On-line facilitation methods are transforming to include teamwork, interactive tutorials, media, and extending beyond group discussion.

Employees belong to different age groups, races, and ethnicities, are of different genders and have different sexual orientation, besides leading, managing, thinking, and learning in diverse ways. If managed effectively, by embracing differences and exercising inclusive processes and procedures, diversity can not only booster performance, but also promote creativity and innovation. The purpose of this chapter is to discuss a viable way to address diversity and inclusion, through the development of a FRAMEWORK that could be tailored to attend specific needs of companies and organizations in different industries.

Its importance is highlighted and enforced by different accreditation bodies all over the world, as an effort to pursue quality and relevant content in higher education.
