To take advantage of the Multiple Valued Logic, with domain: {0, 1,…, N – 1}, where N is the a ba... more To take advantage of the Multiple Valued Logic, with domain: {0, 1,…, N – 1}, where N is the a base of representation, set of integrated circuits (IC) that implement the MVL operators is needed. In the IC implementation, it is necessary to minimize the number of transistors to improve area utilization and power consumption, among other advantages. This work proposes an implementation of gates: eAND3, eAND2, eAND1, Successor, and MAX, with only 14, 28, 6, 26, and 3 MOS transistors, using Austriamicrosystems 0.35µm technology; such that, the number of transistors utilized in the proposed implementation is lower than the number of transistors for equivalent gates reported in literature. The inverted threshold voltage measured have changed 30% in different process variation corners (models cmostm, cmoswp, cmosws) nevertheless, the simulations demonstrate correct behavior for all gates.

Now a day's fuel cell is gaining wide importance in electrical sectors the entire world over. The... more Now a day's fuel cell is gaining wide importance in electrical sectors the entire world over. The electrochemical devices convert the chemical energy contained in a wide variety of fuels directly into electric energy. The electrical efficiency, of fuel cells system can be around 60%, a value that is nearly twice the efficiency of conventional internal combustion engines. The different types of fuels are used in fuel cells such as a natural gas, propane, landfill gas, diesel, methanol and hydrogen. This versatility ensures that the fuel cell will not become obsolete due to unavailability of certain fuels. The fuel cell is known connected to electrical power system and result are simulated through MATLAB/SIMULINK Software.

Distribution static compensator (DSTATCOM) is a good FACTs device used in distribution lines for ... more Distribution static compensator (DSTATCOM) is a good FACTs device used in distribution lines for power quality improvement. It can be used to filter the harmonics from source current, power factor correction, voltage regulation, reactive power compensation, balancing the source current etc. In this thesis work the DSTATCOM is studied for filtering the harmonics from load current, power factor correction, and reactive power compensation. Synchronous Reference Frame (SRF) or dq method and Instantaneous reactive power theory (IRPT) or pq method is used to find the reference current which is to be injected into the system through voltage source inverter and the result of them are compared to find which method is better than other. The simulation of the DSTATCOM is carried out in the MATLAB/Simulink based simulation platform. Keywords— DSTATCOM, SRF or dq, IRPT or pq, current harmonics elimination, reactive power comensation.

---------------------------------------------------------------------***-------------------------... more ---------------------------------------------------------------------***--------------------------------------------------------------------Abstract – As the most important issues of the world now a days is the depletion of the fossil fuel reserves so we need to find out a solution to conserve such non renewable resource and change them from other renewable resource such as solar power. The next concern is the rising level of the unwanted gases such as carbon dioxide or carbon monoxide. There is a need of controlling the level of such gases. In this paper we discusses that how the level of carbon emission can be controlled by changing the grid supply with the solar panels to power the campus of Uttarakhand Technical University. India today stands number one in terms of solar electricity production per watt installed having a total of 300 sunny days. This gives us a good opportunity to use solar power for electricity generation. The increase in interest in solar energy is due to asset subsidies, duty holidays and government action towards renewable energy playing a big part in nation’s energy system therefore solar power plant is used in this study of cost based analysis. HOMER model is used for optimization which shows that the level of carbon emission reduces from 20,520 kg/year to 83.3 kg/year when we install the solar panel in the campus.

The literature survey shows that the Provisional microgrids create by the connection of two beside microgrids to achieve economic benefits. So far, there have been many reviews on AC microgrids. However, due to the many advantages of DC microgrids, they cannot be ignored. To achieve the advantages of both AC and DC microgrids, hybrid structures were considered. and study of H infinity controller to achieve the volatage and frequency control of hybrid micro grid during islanded mode.
