This could be attributed to the inability to identify relevant information, inability to use to information appropriately to control the use of substances and the inability to determine the risks and health implication of substance use on academic performance. Empirical work exists to support health risks of substance use among undergraduates but it is not apparent that a study in Ogun State, Nigeria has addressed the influence of information behaviour and substance use. This study examined the influence of information behaviour on substance use among undergraduates in Ogun State, Nigeria. The study population comprised 82,809 undergraduates with a sample size of 1,513 using a two-stage sampling technique to determine the respondents. It is a function of timely access to relevant and accurate patient health information by physicians, error-free prescription and medication, and the seamless transfer of patients from one level of care to another. However, the quality of healthcare delivery by physicians in Nigerian hospitals falls short of international best practices. The study investigated the influence of Electronic Health Records (EHRs) use on quality healthcare delivery by physicians in tertiary hospitals in Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nigeria. The survey research design was adopted for the study. The population consisted of 610 physicians from the level of Registrar to that of Consultant in the three Federal Tertiary Hospitals located within the FCT. A stratified random sampling technique was used to select a sample of 390 physicians (Registrars-Consultants) across all departments. A ...

Convenient or accidental sampling technique was employed to select 40 respondents among ART patients in Babcock University Teaching Hospital for the study. A self-structured and validated questionnaire was used for data collection. A self-structured and validated questionnaire was used for data collection. Cronbach's Alpha coefficient for the constructs ranged from 0.71 to 0.79. A response rate of 100% was achieved. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential (simple and multiple regression) statistics. The result revealed that the extent of ART adherence (x ̅ =3.40) and the level of health information literacy (x ̅ =3.40) of HIV/AIDS patients in Babcock University Teaching Hospital Ogun State is very high. Health information literacy significantly influenced ART adherence of respondents (R 2 = 0.019, β=-0.046, t =-0.866, p<0.05). Relatively, ability to use health information positively influenced participants' ART adherence (β= 0.404, t =2.492, p< 0.05); The study concluded that health information literacy is a critical factor in facilitating ART adherence of HIV/AIDS patient in Babcock University Teaching Hospital. The study recommended that Babcock University Hospital Management Board should enhanced the patients' ability to obtain, process, understand and use health information in order to enhance and maintain very high level of ART adherence among the HIV/AIDS patients in the hospital.

Methods: For the integrative review, 11 articles published from 2006 to 2013 in the PUBMED, MEDLINE, CINAHL, SCOPUS and SCIELO were selected. Result: Data showed scarce publication from nursing professionals, prevalence of non-experimental studies conducted mainly in Brazil. The most commonly instruments used were the WHOQOL-BREF and SF-12. The presence of pain, nausea and vomiting, depression, low education, younger age and absence of partner negatively affect the quality of life of pregnant women. Practicing physical activity and being socially supported during pregnancy favour a better quality of life. In the domain of social relations, sexuality was the only affected facet. Conclusion: Gaps in the level of evidence considered weak were identified. We suggest bigger role of nurses in research on the subject so that there will be the development of effective interventions to support nursing practice and ensure quality care and consequently improve the quality of life of women in pregnancy and childbirth.

However, issues of plagiarism come into limelight with increased access to the internet as more students and faculty rely on it for information. Although many within the academic environment engage in acts of plagiarism knowingly, some get involved unknowingly for lack of citation knowledge. While this may have been a big problem in the past, the story is different today as online reference tools now abound to aid novice researchers, while easing the work of the more experienced. This paper therefore, discusses how the academic community can take advantage of online reference tools as a measure to combat plagiarism.

Libraries have always been regarded as service oriented centers which, if they integrate the use of ICTs, could provide timely, relevant, reliable and current information. The effective use of the ICT will make librarians more competent and this will, in turn, make their libraries more competitive in their strategic marketing plan. The paper, among other things, highlighted the user based components of ICT application and services that, when adequately put in place and effectively used, could afford Babcock University library a competitive advantage over other libraries. Finally, it concluded by making some recommendations to Babcock University library administrators on what could be done to create and maintain services that the customers will perceive as being more superior to those of their competitors.
