O ato de brincar e uma estrategia que estimula o desenvolvimento e a aprendizagem de habilidades ... more O ato de brincar e uma estrategia que estimula o desenvolvimento e a aprendizagem de habilidades sob os aspectos cognitivos, fisicos e sociais. A classificacao de brincadeiras a partir de habilidades-alvo, com suas respectivas caracterizacoes e niveis, permite a estimulacao do desenvolvimento global de criancas com Transtorno do Espectro do Autismo (TEA). Este estudo objetivou definir as habilidades-alvo para a classificacao de brincadeiras a serem incorporadas no aplicativo Interautismo, fomentando um melhor direcionamento das atividades ludicas para as criancas com Transtorno do Espectro do Autismo. O estudo respaldou-se em uma revisao de literatura, realizada de agosto a setembro de 2019, levando a alocacao das brincadeiras em tres eixos de habilidades-alvo: comunicativas, sociais e motoras. Verifica-se que a categorizacao das brincadeiras, de acordo com as habilidades-alvo definidas, oferece subsidios aos profissionais de saude, cuidadores, pais e familiares, para que melhor direcionem o brincar das criancas com TEA, no sentido de contribuir para o seu desenvolvimento.

The blood donation scenario and its effect on the treatment of patients with hematological diseas... more The blood donation scenario and its effect on the treatment of patients with hematological diseases and in emergency situations is a constant concern in the health area, requiring guided actions that allow improvements in the donor recruitment and retention processes, and therefore, the increase and maintenance of blood donation. To meet this social demand, an exploratory, qualitative study was carried out with the objective of creating a cell phone application that supports blood donor recruitment and fidelization through prevalent and interactive communication and technological resources, generating social engagement. The new information technologies have been increasingly disseminating in the several social settings as a way of collecting, recording, producing, processing and sharing data and information. A research was carried out to identify the existence of applications that support the activities of the Brazilian blood donation units, integrated to the database and with gamification resources, with none being identified with these characteristics. The proposed tool has differential characteristics in relation to the applications available in the market and may be effective in blood donor recruitment and in supporting health promotion. The application has a deadline of November 2017 to start being used.

Community Health Workers (CHWs) are a link between Family Health Strategy (FHS) professionals and... more Community Health Workers (CHWs) are a link between Family Health Strategy (FHS) professionals and the community. This study aims to analyze health care professionals' perceptions and health management about CHWs' role in caring for dependent elderly people. A qualitative study was carried out, from a hermeneutic-dialectic perspective, with 38 professionals working in elderly people's health in cities in the five regions of Brazil. The results identified CHWs as facilitators of access to elderly people dependent on the health care network, gaps in continuing education and the reduced number of these professionals to meet the demand in primary care. Respondents attributed great importance to CHW's performance, valued their participation in FHS, but pointed out a lack of knowledge and difficulties to supply the adequate amount in health care services and in assistance of elderly people with dependence and family. Estudo qualitativo, na modalidade pesquisa participante, com fundamentacao teorico-metodologica na Hermeneutica e nas teorias sobre diagnostico participativo. Compuseram a amostra 31 informantes-chave pertencentes a Comunidade do Dende. Utilizaram-se para a coleta de dados entrevista semiestruturada, caminhada de rua e grupos focais. Por meio da Analise de Conteudo na modalidade tematica e, diante dos problemas relatados pelos moradores, identificaram-se estrategias de enfrentamento agrupadas nas seguintes categorias: "acoes individuais ou familiares”, “acoes coletivas” e “parcerias com segmentos publicos e privados”. Medical professionalism in Gynecology and Obstetrics (GO) is discussed due to the constant crises in the doctor-patient relationship. Work overload is evidenced in this context by its negative influences on professional performance. The objective was to know the meanings attributed to work overload by residents of GO and its influence on medical professionalism. An exploratory and qualitative study, with focus groups conducted with 21 GO residents from four MR programs in the state of Ceara, Brazil. The data were analyzed through content analysis in the thematic modality and the interpretation of the findings was supported by Symbolic Interactionism. The results show that work overload is impregnated with meanings that generate damage to the mental health of GO residents, impairing medical professionalism. The GestAção application was evaluated based on the opinion of 13 pregnant women followed up in prenatal care consultations at three public health services and at a private institution in Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil. Data emerged from an evaluation carried out from June to December 2017, including semi-structured interviews. Data were analyzed from content analysis in thematic and semiotic modality. Thus, the theme "meanings attributed to the application by pregnant women" emerged, which is associated with the following cores of meaning: provision of safe and diverse information; possibility of changing behavior and motivations for using the application. Information on gestation is more easily acquired by electronic means, as these technologies are easily accessible and convenient for obtaining information (Fleming, Vandermause, & Shaw, 2014). This study aims to verify the meanings attributed to the GestAcao application by pregnant women, from the usage experience. This is an applied methodological study, with a qualitative approach. In the larynx, calcifications occur, impacting phonation (presbyphonia) and swallowing (presbyphagia). In hearing, there is a reduction in acuity (presbycusis). Memory also suffers important changes. Objective: Report the experience of an elderly people group assisted in a Reference Center for Social Assistance, in the metropolitan region of Fortaleza, Ceara, through actions that associate health of the elderly and Speech and Hearing Sciences. Methodology: Meetings took place from February to June 2019, with 38 elderly, of both sexes, aged from 60 to 87 years old. This is a quantitative research that aims to analyze the family values of Portuguese and Brazilia... more This is a quantitative research that aims to analyze the family values of Portuguese and Brazilian university students. It surveyed 605 university students, 225 being from the University of Madeira (Portugal) and 380 from the Universidade de Fortaleza (Brazil). The family dimension of the questionnaire adapted from the European Values Survey was used, encompassing questions about attitudes of parents, number of children and qualities to be taught to children/youth. Most participants were women and not married, with Brazilian students having the highest scores in relation to the outdated attitudes of parents about moral principles and the number of children, attaching importance to courage, responsibility, respect, perseverance, faith, generosity qualities, while the Portuguese grant greater importance to the economy. Results show that the beliefs, values and qualities of young people reflect the family, the surrounding society and the globalized world.

We employed a qualitative approach based on dialectical hermeneutic fusion. Interviews were carried out with 38 health professionals, from June to December 2019, in eight cities in the five Brazilian regions, which resulted in themes about the challenges of professionals in the management of care for older adults, the strategies used, and their suggestions for improving the quality of care for dependent older adults. Management failures, structural factors, access barriers, scarce supplies, disrupted network, and lack of security, were pointed out as hardships in directing health protection, prevention, and promotion actions. The applied strategies are diverse and conflicting and aim to articulate the multiprofessional teams, which involve the Family Health Strategy and specialists to implement care. This study assesses the socio-political values of colleges students (n = 605) Portugal/Brazil, employing a questionnaire on socio-political dimension Values. The results revealed significate differences about fundamental values. We find indifference/scepticism in Portuguese and Brazilian students practice, essentially with regard to the causes of social inequalities. In Brazil are connect from bad luck, laziness and inactivity and in Portugal a short instruction distinguish. This research empowers the implementation of programmes of education for citizenship in academic context.

The DoeSangue application was designed and developed to support donor recruitment and loyalty, strengthening health promotion and social engagement. We aimed to assess the DoeSangue application from the perspective of hematology and hemotherapy experts. A methodological, applied and qualitative research was carried out from September 2015 to July 2017 in Fortaleza, Ceará. The study was based on Participatory Interaction Design associated with Symbolic Interactionism. After conducting the first two steps, application design and development in a laboratory and assessment by donor users, the application was validated by eight experts from the Fortaleza's public blood center. O tabagismo e um serio problema de saude publica e com implicacoes devastadoras. O Brasil criou o... more O tabagismo e um serio problema de saude publica e com implicacoes devastadoras. O Brasil criou o Programa Nacional de Controle do Tabagismo, tendo como uma de suas acoes a execucao do tratamento para tabagistas. Em uma unidade de saude do municipio de Fortaleza, Ceara, Brasil, esse tratamento foi ampliado e inovado com a inclusao de intervencoes complementares. Esta pesquisa objetivou conhecer os significados que os tabagistas atribuem ao tratamento antitabagismo realizado com intervencoes complementares. A coleta de dados ocorreu a partir de dois grupos focais e contou com 14 participantes de ambos os sexos. Os dados foram tratados por meio da Analise de Conteudo na modalidade tematica e interpretados a luz do Interacionismo Simbolico e da Teoria Cognitivo-Comportamental. Constatou-se que os significados atribuidos ao tratamento em foco foram positivos e que as intervencoes complementares sao relevantes para o alcance da abstinencia do tabagismo ou a reducao do consumo.

Para conhecer a realidade das pessoas que enfrentam essa doenca, optou-se por apresentar a historia oral de vida de um paciente, visando conhecer as experiencias e subjetividades, da descoberta da enfermidade ao transplante. Estudo qualitativo, realizado de outubro a novembro de 2015, utilizando-se Historia Oral de Vida. Entrevistou-se um paciente transplantado renal, com 42 anos de idade, pedagogo, casado, na cidade de Fortaleza – Ceara. Para conhecer a realidade das pessoas que enfrentam essa doenca, optou-se por apresentar a historia oral de vida de um paciente, visando conhecer as experiencias e subjetividades, da descoberta da enfermidade ao transplante. Estudo qualitativo, realizado de outubro a novembro de 2015, utilizando-se Historia Oral de Vida. Entrevistou-se um paciente transplantado renal, com 42 anos de idade, pedagogo, casado, na cidade de Fortaleza – Ceara. Analisaram-se as informacoes referentes ao periodo que antecedeu o transplante, utilizando-se a Analise de Conteudo na modalidade tematica, emergindo duas tematicas: “Trajetoria da descoberta da DRC” e "O processo da hemodialise.
