By describing the attributes as ingredient in God's inner-trinitarian life as expressed in the passion history, Jungel offers a rich doctrine of God's glory that emphasizes the communicative character of the divine glory inasmuch as God communicates himself to us as he is, and is true to himself in all that he does. However, from a classical Reformed perspective, critical questions are raised with regards to Jungel's understanding of the communicatio idiomatum, and his singular focus on the suffering and death of Jesus to the neglect of the life of Jesus.

Research paper thumbnail of Locating radiation hazards and sources within contaminated areas by implementing a reverse ray tracing technique in the RadBall™ technology

Health physics, 2012

RadBall™ is a novel technology that can locate unknown radioactive hazards within contaminated ar... more RadBall™ is a novel technology that can locate unknown radioactive hazards within contaminated areas, hot cells, and gloveboxes. The device consists of a colander-like outer tungsten collimator that houses a radiation-sensitive polymer semisphere. The collimator has a number of small holes; as a result, specific areas of the polymer are exposed to radiation, becoming increasingly more opaque in proportion to the absorbed dose. The polymer semisphere is imaged in an optical computed tomography scanner that produces a high resolution three-dimensional map of optical attenuation coefficients. A subsequent analysis of the optical attenuation data, using a reverse ray tracing technique, provides information on the spatial distribution of gamma-ray sources in a given area, forming a three-dimensional characterization of the area of interest. The RadBall™ technology and its reverse ray tracing technique were investigated using known radiation sources at the Savannah River Site's Healt...

Intrinsically stable and low-loss it provides essential routing and coupling for quantum optical experiments offering functions such as interconnects, couplers, phase delays and routing. Silica-onsilicon has particular attractions, and in this work the fabrication approaches and advantages of the technique will be explored. In particular, UV direct writing of waveguides and Bragg gratings proves useful for its rapid-prototyping capability and its ability to provide grating for characterization of components for loss, birefringence and coupling ratio. This review concentrates on the fabrication of planar waveguide devices, and ways in which direct UV writing provides important functionality. Examples of applications of silica-on-silicon waveguides include quantum enhanced interferometry, teleportation, boson sampling as well as hybrid operation for single photon detection with transition edge sensors directly placed onto waveguide devices.
