In this paper, the results obtained on the perspectives of older adults are presented, particular... more In this paper, the results obtained on the perspectives of older adults are presented, particularly in relation to their present situation and future projection. 85 older adults (65 women and 20 men) who took part in different institutions of La Plata City were included. The reflection workshops were in general about aging, psychological and social changes and considerations on the time dimension that they bring. Implementing these workshops about the mentioned themes has allowed us to establish some issues of interest to develop, design and carry out a specific process of guidance for older adults, in which the protagonist is the subject with its desires and interests, as we conceive that in guidance it is essential to consider the singularity, to support them during the aging process (in some cases marked by retirement), so the older adults can question themselves about their new possibilities, can decide where to be involved, question themselves about interests, motivations and desires, often postponed, since it is not about spend the spare time, but to make new projects and achieve them.

In this paper, the results obtained on the perspectives of older adults are presented, particular... more In this paper, the results obtained on the perspectives of older adults are presented, particularly in relation to their present situation and future projection. 85 older adults (65 women and 20 men) who took part in different institutions of La Plata City were included. The reflection workshops were in general about aging, psychological and social changes and considerations on the time dimension that they bring. Implementing these workshops about the mentioned themes has allowed us to establish some issues of interest to develop, design and carry out a specific process of guidance for older adults, in which the protagonist is the subject with its desires and interests, as we conceive that in guidance it is essential to consider the singularity, to support them during the aging process (in some cases marked by retirement), so the older adults can question themselves about their new possibilities, can decide where to be involved, question themselves about interests, motivations and desires, often postponed, since it is not about spend the spare time, but to make new projects and achieve them.

This paper intends to approach the conceptualizations about the permanent education and the contr... more This paper intends to approach the conceptualizations about the permanent education and the contributions of Maria Teresa Sirvent in the different degrees of formality of the educative processes. In light of these contributions, a Permanent Adult Education Program of the University Extension Secretariat of the Faculty of Humanities and Educational Sciences of the National University of La Plata will be analyzed. This analysis has been of interest because of the prevalence of educational projects developed by older adults and within them those developed in what has traditionally been called the "non-formal" educational system.

This paper systematizes the work developed during the first year of the initiation scholarship fo... more This paper systematizes the work developed during the first year of the initiation scholarship for the research project entitled "Orientation within the new Active Aging Model: educational, work-related, personal and social choices 1 (1)". This project articulates the Active Aging Model and the Theoretical Operative Model in Orientation, in order to learn how new projects are developed by older adults who used to be part of the formal system of labor and by those who were out of it, and to design programmatic proposals for educational, work-related, personal and social Orientation choices for such population. The sample is made up by seventy people between 64 and 74 years of age, residing in La Plata. The first conclusions evidence the importance that older adults place on project development at this stage of their life cycle, giving special importance to educational, personal and social projects; as well as on the identification of economic factors, health state, family needs for care and social support, among other things, as conditioning the

A partir de la investigación que diera por resultado la tesis doctoral Proceso específico de orie... more A partir de la investigación que diera por resultado la tesis doctoral Proceso específico de orientación para adultos mayores (Ciano, 2018) se desarrolló e implementó en el Centro de Orientación Vocacional Ocupacional de la Facultad de Psicología de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata, una propuesta de intervención para acompañar a esta población en la elaboración y concreción de proyectos educativos, personales, laborales y/o sociales y así promover un envejecimiento activo y saludable. Dicha intervención se diseña sobre la base de la articulación de dos modelos: el modelo teórico operativo en orientación (Gavilán, 2006) y el modelo de envejecimiento activo (Organización Mundial de la Salud, 2002). El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo presentar la fundamentacion, los objetivos y las hipotesi... more El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo presentar la fundamentacion, los objetivos y las hipotesis de la investigacion “La Orientacion en el nuevo modelo de envejecimiento “activo”: elecciones educativas, laborales, personales, sociales”. Se fundamenta en el “Modelo Teorico Operativo en Orientacion”, el cual concibe a la orientacion como proceso continuo a lo largo de la vida, ampliando las posibilidades de intervencion a otras etapas evolutivas y no como hecho puntual en la transicion de la escuela media a la universidad. Esta concepcion permitio atender las demandas de orientacion para la elaboracion de proyectos de vida en otros grupos poblacionales. El objetivo de este trabajo fue diseñar propuestas programáticas de orientación y elección educat... more El objetivo de este trabajo fue diseñar propuestas programáticas de orientación y elección educativa, laboral, personal y social, destinadas a favorecer un envejecimiento activo, a través de la elaboración de nuevos proyectos. Sobre la base del Modelo Teórico Operativo de Orientación y del Modelo de Envejecimiento Activo, se diseñó la investigación, compuesta por dos estudios de enfoque mixto, de tipo descriptivo-interpretativo transeccional. En el Estudio 1, se incluyeron 85 adultos mayores y 6 informantes clave. A través de entrevistas, observaciones y talleres de reflexión se recabó la información sobre la oferta de actividades, la perspectiva de los adultos mayores sobre la vejez, el envejecimiento y otros temas concomitantes y, finalmente, las reflexiones sobre la situación actual y futura a que dieron lugar las informaciones compartidas en los talleres.
