The safety parameters for the explosive charges used in the firedamp hazardous mines are decisive, in order to ensure the safety and health requirements at work together with the efficient performance of the blasting operation. The permitted explosive type emulsion is recommended to be used in underground mines, open pit mines as a special methane explosive and can be used where a coal dust and/or methane explosion hazard exists can be loaded into dry and wet blasting holes and it can be used for mechanical loading. The permitted explosive type emulsion is a Detonator-sensitive explosives that can be reliably initiated in an unconfined state by a No. 8 strength detonator it have safety handling characteristics because of the relatively low sensitivity to friction, shock and impact. Technological changes due to the change of suppliers of certified explosives for civil use for underground use in the firedamp hazardous mines, involve reassessing the safety and efficiency of the loads made with these products, which have not been tested and evaluated for the conditions from the Jiu Valley mines.

The calculation of detonation parameters is based on the chemical equilibrium steady-state model of detonation. The equilibrium composition of detonation and combustion products is calculated by applying modified White, Johnson, and Dantzigs free energy minimisation technique. The IT specialized application, named EXPLO5, uses the Becker-Kistiakowsky-Wilson (BKW) and Exp-6 EOS for gaseous detonation products, the ideal gas and virial equations of state of gaseous combustion products, and the Murnaghan equation of states for condensed products.

The attenuation is a function of a structural strength and mass of the PES structure. Relatively ... more The attenuation is a function of a structural strength and mass of the PES structure. Relatively light or weak structures (or open PES facilities) are assumed to not attenuate any of the pressure or impulse load. These not-attenuating facilities include: Pre-engineered metal building, Hollow clay tile building, Trailer (drop or stand-alone), Tractor-trailer and Bulk/tank truck/Van truck. If there is a barricade present between the PES and the ES and this barricade meets certain criteria, the user can direct the model to reduce the pressure and impulse arriving at the ES because of the presence of the barricade. The fractional damage of the PES structure remaining intact after an explosive event is a function of the equivalent NEW (Net Explosive Weight) and the PES building type. The fractional damage (a value between 0 and 1) of each PES component (roof, front wall, side walls, and rear wall) is determined by comparing the NEW to lower-bound and upper-bound damage limits for the PES...

Designing these types of processes requires consideration, with a relative approximation, the degree of danger due to the design of fragments resulting from detonation, vibrations, pressures, tensions created in the space affected by the explosion, explosion gas generation etc. Estimating the peak values of induced requests is an essential for implementing IT solutions of previous experimentation allows the study of a large number of scenarios, the limit being mainly dependent on the time spent on computer simulations. In this context, safety research into the handling of explosives, the acquisition of experience and knowledge as well as the validation of results by comparison with previous practical experiments and those specified in the literature, become relevant and necessary requirements. Methods used to determine security parameters, analyzed by classical and IT means are relevant to the interpretation of the nature of the explosive matter in terms of their effect in terms of the effect they may have on the environment of use in the event of an explosion in accordance with the legislation in force-an important indicator of classification, handling, storage and transport in the assessment and the management of the risks associated with these operations. The paper presents a series of results regarding computer numerical simulations, safety parameters (friction and impact sensitivity). The similarity of the results obtained in the case of physical experiments to determine the susceptibility of explosive substances tested to friction and impact stimuli in relation to those provided by computerized numerical simulations demonstrate the usefulness of these IT science solutions that through the ANSYS Multiphysics package provide the prerequisites for determining the safety features in the field of explosives for civilian use.

The currently used method for determining the sensitivity to impact is based on the provisions of harmonized European Standard SR EN 13631-4. Expression of the results implies a particular experience of the research team, the conclusion of the test being in the form of a qualitative response reaction/non reaction to different energies (J) applied to the explosive samples, based on observed effects such as: smoke, explosion noise, flame / spark with or without combustion traces on the subassembly of the specialized test equipment. In order to carry out in good conditions the installation, use and maintenance of the specialized equipment for assessing the susceptibility of the tested substances to impact stimuli, the working procedure of the Department of Explosives and Pyrotechnic Products was elaborated and implemented, PL-04 working procedure with the designation "Working procedure for the installation, use and maintenance of BFH-12A type equipment designed to assess the sensitivity of test substances to impact stimuli".

This mathematical model is based on research results in the field of civil explosives for the technological/occupational risks estimation and assessment, as well as threats to the security of protected areas that may be vulnerable through acts of malice. The process of quantitative risk assessment associated with explosion phenomena as a result of the detonation of an explosive charge, allows estimating result indicators based on the use of algorithms and models specific to associated hazards, in order to model the effects and consequences of event scenarios.

The procedure of cutting with explosives is a process that involves using and handling materials in their solid phase. This procedure is especially applied in cases where materials are mostly metals and it uses a directed and controlled cumulative explosive effect. Thereby, developing a safe and complex method of cutting and starting to use technologies that are innovative, clean and ecological, there will be advantages, both technical (different applications on materials with different shapes, sizes, structures, stresses), economic (productivity, reductions of consumption, materials and costs) and environmental (reducing emission of greenhouse gases generated from the current cutting technologies).
