Main symptoms include motion conditions and stereotypical behaviors. This paper focuses on the detection and monitoring of stereotypical motion conditions of patients with autism. Artificial Intelligence techniques are used to identify stereotypical motion conditions, whereas the Situation-Awareness paradigm allows clinicians to obtain further medical information and the reduction of misclassifications. Results are under validation at the Department of Child Psychiatry at Children's Hospital Santobono-Pausilipon in Naples.

Main symptoms include motion disorders and stereotyped behaviors. This paper presents an architecture for recognizing and reporting of anomalous behaviors. The proposed method adopts Situation-Awareness paradigm for the recognition of anomalous behaviors. The architecture enriches the recognizing process with temporal information such as duration and frequency. Results are under validation at the Department of Child Psychiatry at Children's Hospital Santobono-Pausilipon in Naples.

This paper presents logic models and mechanisms to achieve context awareness and future context awareness. The proposed approach relies on handling the topology of the physical environment. We describe methods and tools to specify and implement topology services that can provide mechanisms for both rapid prototyping application services and handling context awareness information. Finally, we report some case studies and applications of the proposed approach 1.

Grid computing environments have recently been extended with Pervasive computing characteristics ... more Grid computing environments have recently been extended with Pervasive computing characteristics leading to a new paradigm, namely the Pervasive Grid Computing. In particular, QoS of existing Grid services is being augmented by means of location-awareness. This paper presents a location service that locates active mobile objects, such as Wi-Fi enabled devices and RFID tagged entities, in a real Pervasive Grid. The key feature of the service is the use of ontologies and rules to define a uniform, unambiguous and welldefined model for the location information, independently from the particular positioning system. Moreover, the location service performs logic and reasoning mechanisms both for providing physical and semantic locations of mobile objects and for inferring the finest granularity for location information in the case a mobile object is located by more than one positioning system. The service has been developed at the top of the standard OGSA architecture.

As a matter of fact, the behavior of such a kind of applications relies on the location of resources and users and, eventually, on their movements. Unfortunately, classic formal methods take into account neither the concept of location, nor the possibility of movements. This paper presents a set of tools to specify formally requirements for safety critical pervasive applications. In particular, we show how its possible to formalize and ...

Currently, designers are able to accurately specify high-level as well as low-level system details by means of visual UML models. In the case of component based applications, after having produced UML visual models, designers have to describe component interfaces. This task is accomplished by means of the standard Interface Definition Language (IDL). Unfortunately, IDL does not allow designers to take into account system properties like object constraints, relations, and business rules, as reported by UML models. Therefore, no trace of such properties is kept into skeletons of source code automatically generated by idl compilers so that their implementation is completely in charge of software programmers. In this paper a process for adding object constraints and business rules in component based applications is presented. In particular, we provide: i) a constraint language to produce models, in addition to idl interfaces, for specifying object constrains and business rules; ii) some implementation patterns for turning constraints and rules in source code; and iii) a preliminary tool able to interpret the constraint language and then to add rules and constraints in the skeletons of software components generated by a commercial idl compiler. 3 ASSOCIATION This keyword indicates an association between two classes 3 Toward This keyword indicates the end point of an association 3 AGGREGATION This keyword indicates an aggregation between two classes 3 Aggregate This keyword indicates what are the aggregated object in an aggregation 3 Aggregatedto This keyword indicates what is the aggregated object in an aggregation 3 COMPOSITION This keyword indicates a composition between two classes 3 Compose This keyword indicates what is the composed object in a composition 3 Composed This keyword indicates what are the composing objects in a composition 3 Multiplicity This keyword indicates the multiplicity of a relation
