Many companies have turned to business process reengineering (BPR), as a mean to radically change the way they conduct business. The general objective of this study was to identify and expose the main causes of resistance to change, changing levels, as well as some strategies for managing resistance to change. The researcher has identified the factors related to employee resistance to change and suggest some solutions to prevent resistance to change. On the one hand, this paper will be of interest to the organizational managers, BPR implementers and the future researchers in a related area of study. On the other hand, the article points out some avenues for further research on this topic.

Purpose and objectives: This study aimed at analyzing the feasibility of the extraperitoneal approach, by routine for this team/ and answering the question of whether this type of approach can be considered a safe one. Although indications for an intra- or extraperitoneal approach largely overlap, it may also be a matter of surgeon preference in choosing one technique. Methods: The study was retrospective, conducted on a group of 493 patients operated on for inguinal hernia in the clinic, by a single operating team, between January 2012 and March 2022. Results: It was proven that out of the 493 surgeries for inguinal hernia, 95.1% (n = 469) were operated upon by laparoscopic TEP (total extra peritoneal patch plasty approach); 1.62% (n = 8) by laparos...

The analysis was applied in post-secondary health schools, identifying in addition to the general characteristics of the group, particular aspects of the Kolb model, which determines the belonging to a learning style. The research tool used was Kolb's questionnaire, it was applied in two health education units, in order to be able to capture possible differences between the learning styles present in the respondents of the general nurse specialization. It should be noted that the emphasis was on the four learning styles present in Kolb's model, as this model is the best known and it is still widely used in research. The study highlighted the fact that there is a diversity of learning styles identified within these health education institutions that depend to a greater or lesser extent on the age of the respondents. This research can be extended, being able to be applied in several post-secondary ...

In our country there were 11,176 patients with CKD on December 31st, 2013, of which 854 patients were undergoing peritoneal dialysis, representing a rate of 7.64% (according to the Romanian Renal Registry). The therapy of patients with end-stage CKD is complex and, currently, three therapeutic procedures are used with the same result: hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and kidney transplantation, but it is to mention that access to transplantation is very low. Although there is no consensus on this matter, and the percentage of patients with peritoneal dialysis in our country is on a downward trend (according to the Romanian Renal Registry, incidence of patients with peritoneal dialysis was of 221 in 2011, 170 in 2012 and 155 on December 31st, 2013), peritoneal dialysis should be ...

The investigation was conducted using as a research tool-the questionnaire, it was applied to a batch of 27 teachers who have shown a willingness to supplement those 15 items. The research instrument had as objectives: identifying staff training to currently investigating professional interests and opinion on training and continuous improvement. Result of the investigation I found that teaching staff is interested in training, improvement, noting to be made on professional qualifications. The desire to deepen both the discipline is taught, and the use of IT tools in teaching. The professionalisation of the teaching career teachers is essential in my view, this will develop student performance in the field to carry out the activity. Although teachers interest and knows the importance of training, refresher see from this research that the main criterion for the choice of courses is the amount of fee. This criterion should be a warning for the organizers of these courses. We intend to expand nationwide research to obtain conclusive results on professionalizing teaching career.

Sutures techniques, either primary repair or applied after failure of primary repair are characterized by high rates of recurrence. Using the hernia mesh has become mandatory in repairing of all types of hernias - inguinal, ventral or incisional. Implantation of the mesh is a relatively well-coded surgical procedure. But surgery is only the first step in the process of healing. Implantation starts a strong response with haematological mechanisms: protein absorption, complement activation, coagulation, platelet activation, neutrophil activation and tissue mechanisms: proliferation, adhesion, fibrosis. Recurrence rates are consistently lower when replacement meshes are used and a variety of meshes have been developed for this purpose. How the mesh is embedded by the human body and how the biomechanical limits of the abdominal wall are restored is still a subject of deba...

Simple sutures or so-called anatomical processes lead to recurrence in up to 50% of cases. Performance of an alloplastic procedure decreases relapse rate to 10%, down from 12%. Popularized in Europe by Rives and Stoppa, the sublay mesh repair technique has proven very effective, with low recurrence rates (0% -23%) and minimal complications. In our clinic we have been using this technique for about 10 years, adding some changes that we consider beneficial to the further evolution of the patient and especially to obtaining a strong abdominal wall, equally functional in terms of bio-mechanics. During the study period, we recorded a total of 45 patients with abdominal incisional hernias operated by this technique. All patients were operated on by the same surgical team. No patients required surgical reintervention. Our results show that the Rives-Stoppa technique is an effec...

Approximately 50% of the operated patients require one or more reinterventions, in order to accomplish the debridement and evacuation of the necrotic-suppurative remnants. The authors reanalyze the retroperitoneal space as a center of the necrotic-suppurative processes, emphasizing over the insufficiency of the approach of the retroperitoneum only through the omental bursa. The anatomical considerations infirm the belief according to which the approach of the omental bursa would be the primary gesture of retroperitoneal access. The pancreas and the surrounding atmosphere are hosted within the anterior an posterior pararenal space. In order to avoid septic remnants it is insisted on six access pathways to the pararenal space. These ways of approach are dictated according to topography of the suppurated necrosis. Using attribution theory, the authors developed a series of hypotheses concerning the effects of influence tactics on employee resistance to change and the ways in which these relationships are moderated by leader-member exchange. Results, which are based on multisource data, suggest that employee resistance reflects both the type of influence a manager uses and the strength of leader-member exchange.

Because of dielectric absorption, thc voltage on a charged capacitor partially recovers aftcr momentarily shorting its terminals. The magnitude of this voltage recovery depcnds mainly an the dielectric material. Dielcctric absorplian causes errors in some analog applications based on charging and discharging of capacitors, such as samplc-and-hold circuits, integrators and active filters. Designing compensation circuits bawd on models of thc dielectric absorption can reduce these errors. This paper pments an analytical method to build a mathematical model of the diclectric absorption, and an equivalent electrical circuit, The method is based on compartmental analysis theory, mostly used in medicine and biology to study the kinetics of substances in biological systems.
