One of the major challenges in dealing with various technologies is to implement them in a useful way to improve life quality. Since educational technologies can play a big role in developing both the teaching and learning process, this paper investigates the status of educational technology in selected universities in Malaysia to obtain their specific perception of this area of study. A survey using a questionnaire was conducted to get data on the implementation of educational technology in universities. Based on the result using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modelling SmartPLS 3 software, the findings demonstrated that effort expectancy, perceived playfulness, and social influence primarily influenced the students' acceptance of educational technology. The level of ease and effort to use the technology will encourage the development of education, enjoyment, and encouragement. On the other hand, performance expectancy and self-management learning was found insignificant.

However, despite the positives, the key difficulties are the absence of enough funding for research and lower research productivity compared to other countries. Hence, the objective of the study is to examine the determinants of academic research productivity in Malaysia. The combination of the Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB) and Social Capital Theory (SCT) was applied in this study. 384 academicians' responses were collected using a questionnaire, and PLS-SEM was the main analysis tool. The findings indicated that commitment, leadership, authority, academic integrity, technology, attitude, subjective norm, academic discipline, and knowledge behaviour significantly influence research productivity. However, management support and knowledge intention do not significantly influence research productivity. With this finding, the authors highlighted that TPB-SCT could be combined and extended to become an extended model to measure behaviour and productivity.

Some independent variables were proposed in this study, including personal forces (autonomy, normative beliefs on knowledge sharing, leadership, and attitude toward knowledge sharing); as well as institutional forces (expected rewards and associations, expected contribution, structure, technology platform, affiliation to institution, and affiliation to discipline). As many as 264 Indonesian faculty members participated in this study using anonymous google form. Using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), this study established the reliable constructs for both personal and institutional forces. There were two phases for defining the best items for the instrument, hence the modified items excluded 12 items from the original ones to form a more fit model at the modification stage. The policy makers can use this model to identify the knowledge sharing intention among faculty members in order to design appropriate interventions.

Entrepreneurship has been considered one of the best options; however, PWDs need help in their business journey. The study investigates factors of the inclusive entrepreneurship model of Persons with Disabilities through their reflection. A focus group semi-structured interview was conducted with ten selected PWDs based on their entrepreneurship experience. Data were analyzed using a thematic analysis approach. Findings show that psychological issues and social discrimination are major entrepreneurship obstacles. Therefore, entrepreneurship programs for PWDs should be more disabled-friendly and focus on their physical and emotional needs.

The present study examines the determinants of loan loss provisions with the presence of earnings... more The present study examines the determinants of loan loss provisions with the presence of earnings management and capital management by commercial banks in the emerging and developed markets during the period of 2004 to 2012. Besides the main objective, there are external factors as well as the internal factors investigated in determining the loan loss provisions. This study focuses on the banking sectors that specify the commercial banks for the period of 2004 to 2012 in selected emerging and developed markets. In order to achieve the objectives of this study, Malaysia and Thailand are chosen to represent the emerging markets, while the developed markets are represented by Hong Kong and Japan. The empirical findings based on Pooled Ordinary Least Square (Pooled OLS) with Newey-West Standard Error for emerging markets and Fixed Effects (FE) with heteroscedasticity and autocorrelation for developed markets recommend that earnings management, gross domestic product and certain bank internal factors have a statistically significant impact on loan loss provisions. This study found that the proxy of earnings management, earnings before tax and provisions is positively related to loan loss provisions in both economies. Surprisingly, the variable of capital management is found to be insignificant in emerging market economies and positively associated with LLP in developed markets. Based on the empirical findings of GDP implying that during the period of study, the economic expansion does influence the decision of loan loss provision by following the normal pattern of business cycle for both markets and contributes to the procyclicality behaviour of loan loss provisions. With respect to the effect of bank specific factors on the loan loss provisions of emerging and developed markets, it clearly indicates from the overall perspective of the results, that the obvious factors that have really contributed to loan loss provisioning practice of both markets are only the non-performing loan and the return on assets. Meanwhile, the robustness check using Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) has basically generated the same results as Fixed Effects with heteroscedasticity and autocorrelation for developed markets.
