Technological processes for modification of materials, deposition, and prevented fumes in the pyr... more Technological processes for modification of materials, deposition, and prevented fumes in the pyrolysis processes are used gases materials in the medium with vacuum pressure or atmospheric air pressure. Therefore, it is essential to understand heat flow transport for designing an efficient reactor or find the substrate's excellent position in the reactor or furnace for growing materials. We evaluated the energy transfer phenomena in the form of temperature distribution and heat flow for various heating sources for the gases and solid materials by Gauss-Seidel equation. The thermal conductivity coefficient (k), number of heating sources, and position of heating sources show an essential parameter for transmitting the distribution of the heat. For high k value shows efficiently for heat transfer at low temperature due to the atom's position close each other. The heat also affects to the phonon and lattice vibration like a wave which successfully shows these phenomena in this st...

In this study, the physical properties of different kind of biomass based charcoals briquettes with the mixing ratios between the biomass charcoal and binding agents of 90:10, 80:20, and 70:30 was determined. Charcoal of groundnut shell, durian shell, and cassava peel were used to produce briquette biomass based charcoals. The binding agent was found to significantly affect to the physical properties. Moisture, ash, volatile matter and compressive strength increased with increasing the amount of binding agent. The briquettes which have similar properties with the SNI standard are briquette from groundnut shell for lowest (10%) amount of binding agent. The charcoal from groundnut shell had the highest silica content followed by durian shell and cassava peel. As the amount of silica is high, the carbon content and the calorific value also is high. To minimize the electrical energy consumption (EC), thermal insulation of wall has significant impact to minimizing the EC of building. The aim of this paper is to define the influence of wall on reducing EC of residential building with different wall characteristics. In this case, two different kinds of building characteristics were evaluated, namely: building-1 applied an innovative Cellular Lightweight Concrete (inCLC) brick and building-2 with wood applied to create the walls. Under numerical optimization, a mathematical model was developed to define the EC of air conditioning (AC). Based on the result of research indicated the EC of building-1 (IDR 25,365) was cheaper than building-2 (IDR 29,350). Consequently, the energy cost reduction (ECR) can be achieved to be IDR 3,985 (13.57%).

The existence of the diffraction peaks identified by crystal orientation (hkl) (004), (224) and (115) with FWHM, strain, and working frequency increases with increasing the activation temperature indicated the formation of the new structures. These findings consistent with the distance (Δ(LO-TO)) between two optical phonon vibrations mode increases indicated that, the stable covalent bonding formation of Fe/CNs/PVA particles increase with increasing the temperature activation of CNs. Temperature activation of the CNs play an important role in expanding the frequency up to 5.56 GHz with reflection loss (RL) −23.16 dB, indicated that a new type absorber for attenuating 99% EM wave. This study shows that the FTIR spectra could be useful for determining the optical properties, phonon vibration, dielectric function, and energy loss function of composite Fe/CNs/PVA.

Scanning multidetector CT is used to know the image quality parameters by using a solid phantom containing four modules and primarily from materials that are equivalent to water. Each module is 4 cm in diameter and 20 cm in diameter. There is white alignment marks painted white to reflect the alignment laser and there are also "HEAD", "FOOT", and "TOP" marks on the phantom to help align. This test obtains CT images of each module according to the routine inspection protocol of the head. Acceptance of image quality obtained for determination: CT Number Accuracy (CTN), CT Number Uniformity and Noise, Linearity CT Number, Slice Technique, Low Contrast Resolution and High Contrast Resolution represent image quality parameters. In testing CT Number Accuracy (CTN), CT Uniform number and Noise are in the range of tolerable values allowed. In the test, Linearity CT Number obtained correlation value above 0.99 is the relationship between electron density and CT Number. In a low contrast resolution test, the smallest contrast groups are visible. In contrast, the high resolution is seen up to 7 lp/cm. The quality of GE CT Scan is very high, as all the image quality tests obtained are within the tolerance brackets of values permitted by the Nuclear Power Control Agency (BAPETEN). Image quality test is a way to get very important information about the accuracy of snoring result by using phantom ACR.

In this study, titanium dioxide-based monolithic type DSSCs were fabricated on a single fluorine-doped transparent oxide coated glass with TiO2 as photoanode and porous ZrO2 as spacer. The type of the carbon material used as the composite paste for the counter electrode was varied to see the effect on the solar cell efficiency. Four-point probes measurement revealed that the resistivity of the carbon layer synthesized using activated carbon exhibited slightly higher conductivity with a sheet resistance of 10.70 Ω/sq and 11.09 Ω/sq for activated carbon and carbon nanopowder, respectively. The efficiency of DSSC that uses activated carbon as counter electrode was higher (i.e. 0.221%) than the DSSC with carbon nanopowder (...

We have used energy loss function (ELF) determined from quantitative analysis of experimental reflection electron energy loss spectroscopy (REELS) spectra as the input parameter for this model. ELF in this study was determined from the previously published quantitative analysis of REELS spectra. The SP of Fe, Ni, Pd, and Ti was compared with several calculation methods for energies from 100 eV to 10 keV and shows SP in this study, which are in best agreement for medium to high energies (greater than or equal to 300 eV). The IMFP obtained in this study shows the best agreement with online database TPP2M and NIST and also calculation by Tanuma with a root mean square (rms) less than 12%. The present approach shows ELF from quantitative analysis of REELS spectra has a high potential for the experimental determination of SP and IMFP of metals.
