Interactive understanding of metaphor and its pitfalls. Is metaphor usable in science and does it have a cognitive function?

Má Kierkegaardovo učenie nejaký význam z aspektu teórie spoločnosti, vypovedá niečo k zákonom vývoja a najmä štruktúry spoločnosti? This tendency corresponded with a more general endeavor, namely getting philosophy closer to science. The author focuses especially on new streams, which appeared by the end of the millennium and are still relevant today. These include philosophy of science, feminist philosophy, Gandhian philosophy, postcolonial studies (in terms of their importance for philosophy) as well as still reverberant existentialist and Marxist doctrines.

In the first place, it was the admirers of existentialism who diligently sought reasons to justify a legitimate place for existential thought in the new context of Indian thinking. They were followed by thinkers who categorically refused existentialism, criticizing it from various points of view. There have also been philosophers, who tried to evaluate the function of existentialism objectively and scientifically in a very sober way, first in connection to the traditional attitudes of Indian philosophers and religious thinkers and secondly in connection to the evident presence of existentialism in the context of Indian philosophy in the 20 th century.

In light of these changes, P. V. Athavale, C. T. K. Chari, N. S. Prasad and some other authors have formed and are developing modern ethical and social theories. Moreover, feminism and gender studies have appeared in the panorama of changing philosophical and sociological thinking in India, embracing gender equality in contemporary Indian society. There has been increasing interest in sociological research and a critical interpretation of Mahatma Gandhi’s spiritual message in the cause of India’s independence, whose thoughts authors engaged in contemporary ethical problems believe to be impractical and useless today.
