Synthesis methyl ester can be formed from kernel bintaro oil (Carberra Mangas L.) with two stages... more Synthesis methyl ester can be formed from kernel bintaro oil (Carberra Mangas L.) with two stages which is esterification and trans-esterification. The test result of methyl ester of bintaro kernel oil have iod value 92,82 g iod/100 gr oil, acid value 1,67 mg KOH/g oil with acid concentration 12,470% and saponification value 185.225 mg KOH/gr oil. From GC-MS analysis fatty acid dominant composition from methyl ester is methyl oleat with walue 45.86%. From HLB analysis show value 0,539. Result of analysis of FT-IR show methyl ester from bintaro kernel oil have typical absorbtion peak on wave number 17443.65 (C=O Ester).

This research was carried out aiming to improve the nutritional quality of dregs sago (Metroxylon... more This research was carried out aiming to improve the nutritional quality of dregs sago (Metroxylon sp) through a fermentation process by utilizing the fungus Aspergillus niger. The treatment applied was the storage time of fermented dregs sago which consisted of 4 treatments and 3 replications thats is, P0 (without storage), P1 (7 days of storage), P2 (14 days of storage) and P3 (21 days of storage). The researched variables consisted of the percentage of crude fiber, crude protein and ekstract ether. Laboratory analysis data for each treatment obtained were tabulated in a table and analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) with the F test at the 5% level and continued with Duncan's test if parameters were found to be significantly different between treatments (Steel and Torrie, 1990). The presence of outsourced laborers in companies in Indonesia raises many problems, especially vi... more The presence of outsourced laborers in companies in Indonesia raises many problems, especially viewed from a legal point of view. Several protests demanding the fulfillment of the rights of outsourced labors can be used as initial evidence that Law Number 3 of 2003 concerning Labor has not been able to provide legal protection to the rights that outsourced laborers must obtain. This paper aims at finding out the implementation of the Labor Law on the legal protection to the rights of outsourced laborers employed in private companies in Medan. This study used a normative juridical method. The data were both primary and secondary data. The preliminary data were collected from the questionnaires and interviews, while the secondary data were obtained from legal documents, including Labor Law, outsourcing contracts, and journal articles. The participants were outsourced laborers and employers hiring outsourced laborers in their companies in Medan. The results of data analysis show that the rights of outsourced laborers employed in private companies in Medan are not well provided. There needs to be a law regulating strict legal protection on outsourced workers employed in companies in Medan.

This study aims to determine the toxicity and alelopathic properties of alang-alang (Imperata cyl... more This study aims to determine the toxicity and alelopathic properties of alang-alang (Imperata cylindrica) extract on the germination of rice seed (Oryza sativa). Dried samples root of Imperata root from Kutai Lama was macerated using ethanol and fractionation solvent using n-hexane and ethyl acetate solvent. The samples were determined for phytochemical and toxicity tests using the BSLT (Brine Shrimp Lethality Test) method. The fraction showing the lowest LC50 values was then tested for allelopathy and analyzed by GC-MS. The results of the phytochemical screening test exhibited the presence of alkaloids, triterpenoids and phenols. Result of toxicity test with BSLT (Brini Shrimp Lethality Test) method showed that ethanol fraction had highest toxicity on shrimp larvae with LC50 value of 647.5364 ppm. Test of allelopathic compounds from alang-alang (Imperata cylindrica) extract conducted on rice seed (Oryza sativa) has a significant effect on germination of rice seeds. Analysis of chemical compound content in the ethanol fraction of alang-alang root resulted in two peak component of the compound in mass spectra indicated from GC-MS result that is phenol and tetradecamethylcycloheptasiloxane.

Phytochemical tests, toxicity tests and antioxidant activities of mahogany seeds (Swietenia mahag... more Phytochemical tests, toxicity tests and antioxidant activities of mahogany seeds (Swietenia mahagoni (L) Jacq) were carried out. This study is meant to identify the secondary metabolism, the LC 50 and LC 50 of extract of ethanol, n-hexane fraction, and ethyl acetate fraction with the seeds of (Swietenia mahagoni (L) Jacq). Phytochemical screening on ethanol extract of mahogany seeds showed the presence of alkaloids, flavonoids, triterpenoids and phenolic n-Hexane fraction contains alkaloids compounds, triterpenoid and phenolic compounds. Ethyl acetate fraction contains flavonoids, triterpenoids and phenolic compounds. The toxicity level is performed by tests of BSLT (Brine shrimp lethality test), while antioxidant activity is performed by a spectrofotometr uv-vis. The total extract of ethanol is obtained at the smallest amount of LC 50 for 49.47565 ppm, n-hexane fractions obtained from LC 50 as much 75.30347 ppm, ethyl acetate fraction obtained from LC 50 as much as 77.87461 ppm and those three extracts are toxic. The IC 50 values of a total ethanol of 176 ppm, n-hexane fraction of as 189 ppm and ethyl acetate fraction of 144 ppm with is strength medium antioxidant.

This study aimed to determine a balance between forage and concentrate on the appearance of Bali cattle and crossed Brahman and simental cattle. The materials used were 20 Bali calves and crossed Brahman and simental cattles. The feed ingredients given in this study were forage and concentrate with a ratio of 80: 20. The concentrate ingredients were consisted of rice bran, sago and yam skin. The observed variables were amount of feed consumption and body weight gain. The research data were analyzed by the T-test. Furthermore, The FB in traditional food needed integrated business development strategy (related to marketing, business information system as well as architectural design). It was found during the research supported by UBCHEA in Surabaya. One of the strategies needed was to create the legal family food hawker center place quality. The strategy was in line with the Surabaya Municipality Government, The Cooperative and SME's Business (Dinas Koperasi dan UMKM). A mini hawker center (consisting of 5 hawkers) was proposed in the roadside of the neighborhood collector. Additional to the center, a culinary park was provided onsite for catering the social interactions of Indonesian. The center was designed with creativity, but with low-cost local material such as brick, wood and bamboo. The design was also equipped with clean water, sanitations as well as food storages. All these would create positive branding and ensure sustainability of the hawker center.

This research uses Scrum development method since it supports small scaled developer and it supports software increment along the development. Using this game application, the users can play and watch interesting animations by controlling it with their voice, listen the character imitating the users’ voice, play various mini games both in single player or multiplayer mode via Bluetooth connection. The conclusion is that game application of My Name is Dug use voice recognition and inter-devices connection as its main features. It also has various mini games that support both single player and multiplayer.
