Combustion of coal in the thermo power plants, as well as by-products, generates the significant ... more Combustion of coal in the thermo power plants, as well as by-products, generates the significant amounts of ash and slag, which immediately entails understanding the possibilities and target finding the appropriate way and places of disposal of these waste products, or potential locations for their disposal. Proper construction and treatment the landfills in monitoring the quality of the primary factors of the environment, will minimize the harmful effect of deposited material on the environment. This work presents a monitoring of water, air and soil of ash and slag landfill of TPP during the construction phase and during operation Cassettes III, Phases 1 and 2.

A smelting plant in Bor extract copper from copper ores and copper concentrates by a pyro metallu... more A smelting plant in Bor extract copper from copper ores and copper concentrates by a pyro metallurgical process. During years of operation, a considerable amount of copper slag has been generated as a by-product and has been dumped. Copper contents in these slags are as high as 0.6 up to 0.8%. As such, this slag could be considered as a secondary source for copper re-utilization. In this context, microscopy analysis of slag samples was carried out in order to determinate its mineralogical composition and to find a possibility for re-extraction of remaining copper from the slag. According to results of the investigation and phase occurrences in slag, it is possible to apply flotation for recovery of copper from these slags.

U radu su prikazani rezultati međulaboratorijskog ispitivanja granulometrijskog sastava peska i š... more U radu su prikazani rezultati međulaboratorijskog ispitivanja granulometrijskog sastava peska i šljunka, na reprezentativnim uzorcima, sa lokaliteta zapadnog dela kostolačkog basena. Rezultati su statistički obrađeni na dva načina i to: Numeričkom metodom: Cochran-ov test preciznosti i Grafičkom interpretacijom: MANDEL-ova tehnika konzistentnosti u skladu sa standardom SRPS ISO 5725-2 [1,2]. Izračunate su: Varijansa ponovljivosti Sr 2 ; međulaboratorijska varijansa S L 2 i varijansa obnovljivosti S R 2 . Uzorci su metodom deljenja dostavljeni svim laboratorijama učesnicama. Abstract This paper presents the results of interlaboratory testing the grain-size distribution of sand and gravel on representative samples from the site of the western part of the Kostolac Basin. The results were statistically processed by two ways: Numerical method: the Cochran test of accuracy and Graphic interpretation: the MANDEL technique of consistency in accordance with the Standard SRPS ISO 5725-2 [1,2]. The followings were calculated: repeatability variance Sr 2 ; interlaboratory variance S L 2 and reproducibility variance S R 2 . Samples were submitted by sharing method to all participating laboratories.
