Makalah ini mendiskusikan hubungan antara cerita anak-anak dengan pembentukan karakter. Bercerita... more Makalah ini mendiskusikan hubungan antara cerita anak-anak dengan pembentukan karakter. Bercerita adalah sangat penting untuk mencapai tujuantujuan pendidikan dalam kaitannya dengan memperkuat sikap dan karakter anakanak yang baik. Karena anak-anak itu merupakan generasi harapan masa depan Indonesia, maka mendidik mereka dengan karakter yang kuat dan baik adalah merupakan keharusan. Dalam konteks bercerita untuk anak-anak, maka perlu difahami hal-hal berikut: kedudukan dan fungsi sosial bercerita dalam masyarakat; jenis cerita apa yang sesuai untuk dibawakan, khususnya untuk anak-anak; kapan waktu yang baik untuk bercerita kepada anak-anak; dan usaha-usaha apa yang harus dilakukan pada waktu dan setelah bercerita. Agar kegiatan bercerita itu mencapai sasaran yang diharapkan, maka perlu dilakukan secara serius sehingga ianya tidak hanya melayani anak menjelang tidur tetapi fungsi utamanya sebagai alat pendidikan dapat berjalan dengan lancar. Sebagai tambahan, harus juga disadari bahwa bercerita itu merupakan perlambang cinta dan kasih-sayang orang tua kepada anak-anaknya.

Pada penelitian ini ianya merujuk literasi bidang sastera, khususnya pengetahuan dan minat dalam membaca sastera. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan literasi bidang sastera pada mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastera Indonesia, Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan UNSUR (Universitas Suryakancana) di Cianjur, Jawa Barat, Indonesia. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh isu tentang rendahnya kemampuan literasi. Metode deskriptif digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut . Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket tertutup dan terbuka. Angket tertutup dijadikan alat untuk menjaring pengetahuan sastera, sedangkan angket terbuka untuk menggali kesan terhadap karya sastera yang dibaca. Adapun kategori bacaan sastera berbentuk buku kumpulan puisi, sejumlah novel, kumpulan cerita pendek, serta buku naskah drama. This article discusses the learning of writing short stories with transformational techniques, tr... more This article discusses the learning of writing short stories with transformational techniques, transforming Sundanese Cianjuran songs into a short story. The study was applied to students of class IX at SMP Bina Utama in 2017-2018. The research method used is the experimental method (Pre Experimental Desaign). The sample used is the IXE class and it is chosen based on certain considerations. The instruments used are observation and tests. The results showed that the results of learning to write short stories before using text transformation techniques (pretest) were classified as low, with an average pretest score of 50.68, while using the text transformation technique (posttest) the results were in the medium category, with the average posttest result was 65,45. Then, after being compared with the t-test, the significance value of the data before and after treatment is 0,000, which means the significance value is 0,000 <0,05, then H0 is rejected. This article describes how the students' perceptions of reading and service availability from... more This article describes how the students' perceptions of reading and service availability from the library of FKIP Universitas Suryakacana. The research was conducted descriptively by using instrument in the form of questionnaire and checklist. The results showed that students respond positively to the collections that are available both in terms of quantity and variety. Available collections are considered to fit the needs of the user. Then, in terms of services such as the length of time of lending, the time of service, and the attitudes and skills of the officers, and the available supporting facilities also get a positive assessment from the pemutaka. However, it does not mean everything is perfect. In other words, both the collection and the services of the library FKIP Universitas Suryakancana still need to continue to clean up and innovate for the comfort and passion of students to learn by reading can be better so that will have an impact on improving the quality of teach...
This article describes the ability of students of eight grade of High School 1 Pacet Cianjur 2011... more This article describes the ability of students of eight grade of High School 1 Pacet Cianjur 2011/2012 in the use of diction in a narrative essay. Research was carried out by using the descriptive method. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion are showed that students’ ability to write essay in terms of accuracy of the use of diction which is an average 66.36. An examination of the use of language styles, the average value obtained is 65.68 students, meanwhile, viewed from the aspect of the use of the phrase sentences in a narrative written by the average value obtained by the students is 66.36. Therefore, it can be concluded that in general the ability of students to use diction, style and expression language sentences in writing a narrative essay is generally sufficient.
