In some cases, severe CHF is a contraindication to the chemotherapy or surgical treatment. Despite significant progress in CHF treatment, some groups of drugs, particularly mineralocorticoid receptor inhibitors, angiotensin receptor-neprilysin inhibitors, and sodium-glucose co-transporter type 2 inhibitors, have not been studied related to cancer patients. Clinical case description: In this report, we introduce two clinical cases in which, because of the invaluable contribution of the cardio-oncological team, we have managed to solve complex problems of treating patients with CHF and cancer. In patient 1 with severe CHF, it was possible to achieve regression of systolic dysfunction, despite the progression of bladder cancer T4N1M0. In patient 2 with severe ischemic cardiopathy and CHF, owing to the timely administration of quadruple therapy, we managed to significantl...

The diagnosis of postpericardiotomy pericarditis (PP) is based on the electrocardiography (ECG) changes the ST segment elevation in combination with a depression of the PR interval. However, in some cases, the ECG changes are difficult to distinguish from the changes associated with ST segment elevation acute coronary syndrome. In such cases, the diagnosis of pericarditis is made by excluding acute coronary syndrome, for which additional expensive diagnostic tests are performed. Aims: the purpose of the study is to identify a pattern in the change in the PR interval, which is detected in patients with acute pericarditis who underwent pericardiotomy during coronary bypass surgery. Methods: The observational study included 47 patients after coronary bypass surgery. We compared ECG of two groups of patients after coronary artery bypass grafting 25 patients who demonstrated the ECG signs...

The possibility to assume the presence of pre-excitation syndrome accompanied by tachycardia based on an electrocardiogram provides a clue to the correct diagnosis and subsequent treatment of the patient. Clinical case description: A clinical case of a 56-year-old patient is presented, who was admitted to the FRCC of the FMBA of Russia in January, 2021 with paroxysms of previously undiagnosed tachycardia. During Holter monitoring, an episode of heart palpitations was recorded. When analyzing an ECG fragment, it was possible, by calculating the tachycardia cycle length, to suspect the presence of a latent ventricular pre-excitation syndrome, which was accompanied by the development of orthodromic atrioventricular reciprocal tachycardia with a bundle branch block...
