Here piscicidal effect of locally available plant Antigonon leptopus (Hook. and Arn.) Against common freshwater air breathing predatory fish Chana punctatus (Bloch,1793)and their behavioral changes were investigated. The test fish was exposed to five different concentrations of fresh leaves aqueous extract (10,20, …50ppm) for toxicity test remaining one a control. Attempts had been made to access the impact of 24h LC100of the aqueous extract of A. leptopus leaves on the test fish Chana punctatus. To determine the LC100 of the leaf extracts, relationship between observed and expected rate of mortalities of the test fish and dose-mortality relationships, Chi-square and ANOVA tests were done. This study indicates that the leaf extract of the plant species may be used as potential organo-piscicide to remove the unwanted weed fish species from the fish culture ponds as an environmentally safe and effective phyto-piscicide necessary for aquaculture management.

First of all, we develop a pollution generation (PG) model with the help of existing initial pollution status of the environment, and then we use it as an essential constraint in the proposed EPQ model. The model has also been studied in two different scenarios: (a) when unit selling price is given and (b) when unit selling price is associated with marginal profit respectively. However, in this article, the concept of manpower exploitation, law of surplus value and their impacts on profit function has been discussed. In fact, after the invention of Marxian production theory (1867), not a single article has been developed for studying inventory management problems/operations research using this theory. Thus, in this study, focussing Marxian principle we have developed a new production inventory model named Marxian economic production quantity (M-EPQ) model incorporating the extensions of the models developed by Harris (Mag Manag 10(2):135-136, 1913) and Taft (Iron Age 101:1410-1412, 1918) exclusively. Moreover, to deal with the non-random uncertainties of several cost components of production process we have utilized fuzzy system explicitly. A case study has been performed for numerical illustrations and we have developed a solution algorithm for numerical computations. Finally, sensitivity analysis and graphical illustrations are made to validate the new M-EPQ model followed by a conclusion.

Some definitions over metric spaces, pseudo metric spaces, intuitionistic fuzzy sets, indeterminacy and the formula of measuring metrices have been incorporated. Numerical illustrations, graphical illustrations, area of applications and ranking for decision making are discussed to show the novelty of this article. Finally, conclusions and scope of future works are mentioned.

Moreover, an estimation function of pollution measure due to production is developed through a separate modelling. In the entire supply chain, we assume the deterioration rate increases with time and it also depends on the product’s expiration date. On the other hand, the demand for deteriorating items at the buyer’s end is assumed to be the dense fuzzy number because of learning effect. The model is developed by defining the exact profit functions for the vendor, the buyer and the entire supply chain and solved by classical method. These lead to the determination of individual optimal policies, as well as the optimal policy for the joint integrated supply chain. Fuzzifying the final objective function via dense fuzzy rule, we have employed extended ranking procedure for its defuzzi...

Here, the supplier offers an upstream full trade credit to the retailer and the retailer in turn, provides a downstream partial trade credit to her/his customers. Demand rate is assumed to be functionally depends upon carbon emissions, unit selling price and the length of the credit period offered by the retailer to their customers explicitly. Taking a case study, we develop a profit maximization crisp problem first then considering the unit selling price and the carbon elasticity as fuzzy numbers we formulate an equivalent fuzzy problem. After that, the fuzzy problem has been defuzzified with the help of general fuzzy system and the new volumetric fuzzy system under two different scenarios namely with and without carbon emissions also. The aim of this study is to develop a best methodology over fuzzy system on trade credit financing problem so as to optimize the average profit function over the optimum design variables the credit period, the order quantity, the cycle time, the partial shortage time and minimum carbon emissions, respectively. Finally, numerical illustrations and its comparative study with the existing methods, sensitivity analysis and graphical illustrations are performed to justify the novelty of the proposed approach.

From the retailer's perspective, granting trade credit not only increases sales and revenue but also increases opportunity cost (i.e., the capital opportunity loss during credit period) and default risk (i.e., the percentage that the customer will not be able to pay off his/her debt obligations). Hence, how to determine credit period is increasingly recognized as an important strategy to increase retailer's profitability. Also, the selling items such as fruits, fresh fishes, gasoline, photographic films, pharmaceuticals and volatile liquids deteriorate continuously due to evaporation, obsolescence and spoilage. In this paper, we propose an economic order quantity model for the retailer where (1) the supplier provides an upstream trade credit and the retailer also offers a downstream trade credit, (2) the retailer's downstream trade credit to the buyer not only increases sales and revenue but also opportunity cost and default risk, and (3) the selling items are perishable. Under these conditions, we model the retailer's inventory system as a profit maximization problem to determine the retailer's optimal replenishment decisions under the supply chain management. We then show that the retailer's optimal credit period and cycle time not only exist but also are unique. We deduce some previously published results of other researchers as special cases. Finally, we use some numerical examples to illustrate the theoretical results.

Through uncontrolled rate of exploitation, the manufacturer creates large quanta of social surplus. This ultimately results in the economic injustice and inequality among social economic classes. This current article makes an initiation to develop an economic production quantity model with deterioration under Marxian approach of sociopolitical economy. Here, two Marxian economic production quantity models are developed aiming at the minimization of exploitation rate and reduction of social surplus. The notion of marginal profit is considered here to reduce the social surplus (Net profit) incurred in the production plant itself. Fuzzy system has also been studied to get the variability of the exploitation in the model. Sensitivity analysis, graphical illustrations are made to validate the model.

For real situation we notice that some data cannot be precisely known. For that reason we have to take the parameters as imprecise parameter. In this paper we take fuzzy number as the imprecise parameter. The diabetes model is formed by the concept of system of linear differential equation whose initial condition are fuzzy number. The solution procedure for solving governing fuzzy differential equations i.e., the fuzzy model is taken as generalized Hukuhara derivative approach. To show the biological importance the stability analysis of the model is done in fuzzy environment. The numerical results found and are illustrated through computer simulation which is followed by discussions and conclusions in an elegant way.

The concept of linear and as well as non-linear for both symmetric and asymmetric heptagonal dense fuzzy number is introduced here. We develop a new ranking method for non-linear heptagonal dense fuzzy number also. Considering a backorder inventory model with non-linear heptagonal dense fuzzy demand rate we have utilized a modified centroid method for defuzzification. For decision maker’s aspects, numerical examples, comparative study with other dense fuzzy numbers and a sensitivity analysis show the superiority of the nonlinear heptagonal dense fuzzy number. Finally, graphical illustrations are made to justify the model followed by a conclusion.

For constructing various aggregation operators on intuitionistic fuzzy set, various kinds of t-norms and co-norms are the most significant tools. This work takes a closer look on various fuzzy triangular norms and uses them for the first time in an economic order quantity (EOQ) model. Traditional economic theory has a paradigm shift on objective factors affecting demand such as price and income. Recently, behavioural economics gives more weightage to psychological and social factors that affect our preferences and choices in markets differently. As per literature survey concern, this paper may indeed be the first to adopt the concept of the number of variations of a tourist's dependent demand in inventory management problems. Utilizing several triangular norms, we have characterized Attanassov (standard) and non-Attanassov's (non-standard) feasible region. A case study has been performed for numerical illustration and model validation. A solution algorithm, has also been developed which proves Attanassov's solution space is quite inferior to non-Attanassov's domain. Finally, sensitivity analysis and graphical illustrations are also provided to justify the model.

The low unit selling price and more stocks correspond high demandbut more stock corresponds to slow production because of the avoidance of unnecessary stocks. First of all, we develop the production model by solving some ordinary differential equations having deterministic profit function under some specific assumptions. Later, we develop the fuzzymodel by solving the fuzzy differential equations using Generalized Hukuhara derivative. In fact, the differential equation of the model has been split into two parts namely gH(L-R) and gH(R-L) on the basis of left(L) and right(R) − cuts of fuzzy numbers for which the problem itself is transformed into multi-objective EPQ problem. A new formula of aggregation of several objective values obtained at different aspiration levelshas been discussed to defuzzify the fuzzy multi-objective problems. We solve the crisp and fuzzy models using LINGO software. Numerical and graphical illustrations confirm thatthe model under Generalized Hukuhara derivative of (R-L) type contributes more profit which is one of the basic novelties of the proposed approach.

However, for developing the model, at first we develop a functional relationship among the production rate, remanufacture rate and the pollution rate with the help of prey-predator relationship, then we have investigated a production-remanufacturing process in reverse logistics associated with the returned items. Examining real case study of a Sponge-iron (SI) industry, it is observed that how recycling reduces the environmental pollution and increase the livelihood status of the people associated with collecting scrap and used items for recycling in the production process itself. To validate the model statistically, we have utilized the normal distribution and computed p-values. Due to financial constraints of industrial management, we have studied the flexibilities of different cost vectors by means of the Triangular dense fuzzy lock set (TDFLS) rule along with its locking and unlocking property for final decision-making. Moreover, our findings suggest that the decision maker (DM) might have to focus on remanufacturing and recycling for pollution reduction and creation of jobs. Finally, we have shown that the DM might have to adapt the TDFLS rule to reduce the pollution and financial loss for socioeconomic sustainable development.

In a competitive world, there are several companies which are usually producing similar items and getting hurry to launch their products first in the market. Under these circumstances two different cases may occur (1) early demand-early profit and (2) showing low marked unit selling price of each item and creating motivation by offering some discounts, as a result total demand will be increased and get benefit from that.
