We believe that because the entrepreneur is very sensitive to its environment, he is affected by the institutional and cultural context of his country. The analysis was undertaken upon a specific group: 3 rd year Management students of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Timisoara. The results show that this group, through its socio-demographic profile and level of education, presents a different entrepreneurship profile than the one registered at a national level.

The economic and social development of a modern nation is dependent on human intellectual capital... more The economic and social development of a modern nation is dependent on human intellectual capital at a rate that competes with other forms of capital (physical, financial, social, etc.). Education is what establishes the level and quality of human and intellectual capital as source of a nation’s development. As such, this paper concentrates on evaluating student’s perception on current competences acquired on graduating an economic analysis and valuation master program but also their appreciation of additional competences required by the labor market in order to adapt the current curricula to their educational necessities. The studied group is represented by 2nd year master students at The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration in Timisoara, Romania, a representative population in this educational field since the master program analyzed is one of the most important and famous in the Western Region of the country.
