As compared to conventional pedagogy, the new ways of easier communication through digital media devices especially Mobile Phones have offered diverse ways of learning for the students and provided the academicians with a multipurpose platform of sharing ideas, preparing lectures, conducting research and coordinating with the students. The study investigates how digital intervention in pedagogy has affected the learning environment in Pakistan`s academia with a student's perspective. For the purpose, drawing upon the theoretical perspective of Communicative Affordance, a sample of 600 students is surveyed.

The purpose of this research is that researchers must first understand how society affects individuals. Everyone learns social behaviour through observing others. Before TV, children learned socialization through family and peers. Cultivation theory studies TV's long-term impacts. The more time people spend 'living' in the TV world, the more likely they would believe it's a social reality. The survey method was considered to be an appropriate method for collecting information and data analysis. The population is the male and female viewers of the private news channels. A stratified sampling method for the specification of the demographic characteristics was adopted, and the population was divided based on age and gender; for data collection, the target of one hundred and sixty viewers were selected. The allegation of blasphemy in our society faces violent reactions by the masses and it is genera... more The allegation of blasphemy in our society faces violent reactions by the masses and it is generally due to a lack of knowledge about legislation concerning blasphemy in the country. In Pakistan since the introduction of blasphemy law in the country from 1986 to 2010, over 1274 individuals were charged with blasphemy allegation and alarmingly over 51 were killed either before the completion of their trial or pronouncement of conviction. This study explores the role of media in blasphemy cases in Pakistan. Researcher has used the triangulation method. The researcher analyzes the content of two mainstream newspapers using the content analysis technique. For this purpose, 100 faculty members and students of mass media from different universities of Lahore were approached. The goal of this study is to determine the effects of rape case's exposure over social media. The... more The goal of this study is to determine the effects of rape case's exposure over social media. The researcher has observed the changes among users who are going through the exposure of rape cases in this research. The present study is based on the quantitative approach in which the researcher has selected the survey method as a tool to explore and investigate the consequences of rape cases exposure among users. The data was collected through a questionnaire. The questionnaires were distributed in ive different tehsils of Lahore (Lahore Cantt, Raiwind, and Lahore City, Shalimar, and Model town) including both urban and rural areas using conveniencesampling technique. The data were analyzed through SPSS using regression and chi-square techniques. One hundred participants from each tehsil were assigned to complete several surveys regarding rape cases exposure. This research focused on the selected effects of rape case exposure like anxiety, phobia, fear, depression, frustration, and mental illness problems. Results indicate that any person who has more exposure to rape cases has more effect on the user's mental state. Upon mining such data on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, some privacies and securities to control the negative exposure over social media and the government should develop a strict law and order situations and check the calculations highlighted in the thesis that the subject matter has become serious. The researcher will suggest that the punishments from an Islamic point of view are the perfect solution to the problem of raping young girls and children.

In historic perspective, Shia-Sunni conflicts were mainly layered under governance and were not permitted to collapse into quarrel before partition of subcontinent. However once Pakistan took birth, the unease among two; Shias and Sunnis, was unleashed and turned severe by the mid-1980s. Sectarianism is the phenomenon not new in Pakistan. Even before partition, sectarian clashes used to occur, off and on, in subcontinent. Introduction: Incidence of serious liver illnesses including cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcino... more Introduction: Incidence of serious liver illnesses including cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma are increasing in patients chronically infected with hepatitis B virus (HBV) and hepatitis C virus (HCV). The aim of this study was to assess the prevalence of hepatitis B,C and HIV in patients presenting to the outpatient department of Islamic International Dental Hospital. Material and Methods: 104 patients visiting the outpatient department of Islamic International Dental Hospital were consecutively selected. Blood sample was drawn from the patients and was screened through strip test method to evaluate presence of disease conditions. Results: Out of one hundred and four patients (49 females and 55 males) 4 (8%) were HbsAg positive and 8 (7%) were HCV positive. No patients were detected to be HIV positive. The COVID-19 pandemic has had an effect on everyone's health, safety, and everyday lives. Bec... more The COVID-19 pandemic has had an effect on everyone's health, safety, and everyday lives. Because of the biological and psychological changes that arise during this developmental phase, youth can be especially vulnerable to this sudden disturbance in their lives. The COVID 19 crisis is a global pandemic that is having a range of impacts on every individual throughout the world as well as Pakistani youth such as anxiety and stress that needs to be addressed. This research is being carried out to determine the effects of electronic media particularly NEWS TV channels on Pakistani youth. The results of the study proved that usage of electronic media is associated with creating awareness and behavioral changes among youth in Pakistan during this pandemic.

The researcher applied quantitative research methods, while survey was conducted for the collection of data. Structured questionnaires were used for collection of data. Data was collected through purposive sampling method. Data was analyzed by Statistical Package for Social Sciences. The findings revealed that social media, particularly Facebook has cognitive, social and moral effects, which improve their skills to in-touch with relatives, peers and friends to improve social circle, cognitive effects to enhance creativity and mental level during the studies and moral effects where, they bear to respond the slang and abusive language as well as abusive comments on other posts related to their political and religious beliefs. This study explores the "Impact of internet on the social capital and relations" through survey u... more This study explores the "Impact of internet on the social capital and relations" through survey using questionnaire as a tool of data collection. Finding of the study revealed that 40% respondents reported that it results in less emotional bonding among real life relations because people concentrate more on virtual ties. 40% respondents said that due to internet usage their reliance on electronic medium increases. 73% respondents agree that they use the internet to know new people, as it helps the users to increase their online social capital. Among respondents 59% people agree that they use the internet to renew online contacts with old friends. Whereas only 25% respondents strongly agree they use the internet to intensify online contacts with their relatives. It targeted 440 respondents and got response from 400 (200 male, 200 female) having demographic characteristics like, age, gender, education and income of respondents. For age the researcher has selected youth (20-25 y) and middle aged (30-40 y) sample is selected, for status, students and professionals/teachers sample is selected, for gender, the researcher has selected female and male, and for income, low, middle and high income sample has been selected and lastly for education, both IT educated and Non-IT educated sample has been selected. The key variables of hypothesis were" Impact of internet on relations with social capital, Impact of internet on the face to face communication, Impact of internet on virtual ties". For this study, impact of internet has been operationalized into several dependent and independent variables.

The purpose of this research is to investigate the effects of interactive media on children's cog... more The purpose of this research is to investigate the effects of interactive media on children's cognitive, social and moral development according to their mothers' perception regarding these influences in Pakistani society. The proposed research work examines influence on three levels, i.e. cognitive, social and moral domain. The researcher undertakes to find out how excessive usage of social media influences children' development and what are the developmental differences between mild users and moderate to severe users of social networking media. The major hypothesis of the study is the greater the exposure to interactive social media, greater the impact on children's cognitive, social and moral development". The study captured mothers' perception of the influence of interactive media on children development through survey using questionnaire as a tool of data collection. 120 respondents (mothers) (60 mothers of mild users, and 60 mothers of heavy users of social networking sites) were accessed for the current research from metropolitan cities of Pakistan. The statistical t-test was used for testing the hypothesis and differences in means were examined. The results and findings revealed that heavy users of social media tend to incorporate more developmental changes in terms of social, cognitive and moral domains in contrast to light users.
