Methods. A fivestation remote formative OSCE was developed and implemented using Microsoft Teams. The authors used a post-OSCE evaluation, in combination with the results of a students' survey and comprehensive feedback from faculty. Results: A total of seventy second-year B.Pharm. (Hons.) students participated in the online OSCE. Based on the post-OSCE evaluation, about 80% of students agreed that the OSCE ran smoothly. Respondents agreement on the time allocated to complete each station varied between 63.6% and 81.8%. Time allocation for each station and internet connectivity were raised as the main concerns by both the students and the faculty. Conclusion: A remote online OSCE is a feasible strategy for assessment of various skills based on different tasks, reflecting the scope of practice for future pharmacists, and offers a promising direction towards the assessment of such practical skills. Online OSCE planning, development and evaluation are in themselves useful for clarifying assessment goals, processes, hindrances, and affordances COVID-19 SPECIAL COLLECTION

The Manipal-S Registry was designed to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the biodegradable polymer coated Supralimus ® Sirolimus-Eluting Coronary Stent for the treatment of coronary artery disease, across a wide range of patients who are treated in real-life clinical practice. Methods: All the consecutive 116 patients who underwent singlevessel or multiple vessel percutaneous coronary interventions with the use of Supralimus ® sirolimus-eluting stents between September 2009 and December 2010, were included in this study. Patients were clinically followed-up at 1, 9, 12 and 24 months post-procedure. All clinical, procedural, and follow-up information were collected and analysed. In total 116 patients, 126 lesions were implanted with 144 stents which had an average stent length of 25.8±8.0 mm. The incidences of any major adverse cardiac and cerebral events at 1, 9, 12 and 24 months were 0, 5 (4.3%), 8 (6.9%), and 10 (8.6%) respectively. These 24-month results clearly provide evidence for safety and effectiveness of the Supralimus ® Sirolimus-eluting coronary stent system with the biodegradable polymer in real-life patients, even in those with acute myocardial infarctions.

Finasteride inhibits 5α-reductase and reduce the biosynthesis of dihydrotestosterone (DHT). This inhibition marks a decrease in concentration of DHT and provides a novel and selective approach to androgen deprivation. Clinical trials have proven the safety and efficacy of tablet finasteride 1 mg for AGA. In this review, we discuss all aspects of finasteride, including dosing and indication, pharmacology, pharmacokinetics to its role in the treatment of AGA.

Pharmacists have the potential to be on the forefront of this movement as a healthcare professionals and pharmacists are in an admirable position to educate patients about safe drug disposal. Proper patient counselling on safe medication disposal can make a significant difference to public health and the environment. The knowledge on method of disposal of unused medicines is equally important as that of consumption of medicines. Objective: This article aims to provide a background, the importance and significance of proper medication disposal, describe the correct methods to dispose of unwanted and expired medications. Method: The information about methods of proper disposal as well as consequence of improper disposal was collected by extensive literature survey of all available resources. Conclusion: Till date, researchers have acknowledged many human and veterinary pharmaceutical compounds at serious concentrations in drinking water resources and they are a major contributor to environmental pollution. Emphasis is also given on pharmacist role in proper disposal of unwanted and expired medicine makes a significant impact on the environment as well as it prevents accident, poisoning and intentional violence. So it will lead to the welfare of society and trudge towards goal of 2020 health for all.

Meta-analysis of the relative risks (RR) of hospital admissions and mortality was conducted, while a narrative summary was provided for the secondary outcomes. Results: The review identified 17 studies that included 27,591 participants (3,442 HBMR, 24,149 control) with follow up ranging from 3 to 24 months. Hospital admissions and mortality were reported in 16 and 12 studies respectively. Meta-analyses showed that hospital admissions (RR 0.96, 95% CI 0.84-1.09) and mortality (RR 0.93, 95% CI 0.73-1.19) were similar in HBMR compared with control. Three studies that reported cardiology specific outcomes demonstrated some benefits in the HBMR group (e.g. reduced heart failure related hospital admissions). Consequently, HBMR did not result in significant cost savings, nor was it cost-effective compared with control as reported in six studies. ConClusions: Current evidence suggests that pharmacist-provided HBMR does not provide significant clinical and economic benefits compared with usual care. Nonetheless, there is good theoretical basis for the role of HBMR and that the current lack of evidence of effectiveness and cost-effectiveness may be due to inadequately designed program and economic evaluation.

Adherence was assessed using the medication possession ratio (MPR), defined as the number of days with statin therapy on hand divided by duration of statin therapy. Results: A total of 3,417 patients met the inclusion criteria. The most common statins received were atorvastatin (32.43%), rosuvastatin (22.21%), and pravastatin (20.00%). At initiation, mean(SD) dose (mg/day) was 9.00(3.66) for atorvastatin, 2.97(1.50) for rosuvastatin, and 9.12(3.09) for pravastatin.
