Only four insurance companies have been selected out of the nineteen life insurance companies in Nepal using simple random sampling technique. The purpose of this descriptive and causal-comparative study is to examine the impact of premium collection on investment and profitability in life insurance companies. Both primary and secondary data have been incorporated. Descriptive statistical tools consist of mean, standard deviation, coefficient of variation as well as the inferential statistic consists of correlation and regression analysis as secondary data variables. The findings indicate a positive and significant relationship between total investment and premium collection in the life insurance industry. Additionally, premium collection shows significantly positive relationships with earnings per share and net profit. However, the research also suggests an insignificant relationship between premium collection and return on assets (ROA) and return on equity (ROE). Furthermore, the study highlights the influence of various other factors on premium collection and investment patterns, including firm size, government regulations, investment duration, investment period, and investment objectives. Understanding these factors can aid in formulating an effective structure for premium collection and investment strategies to achieve higher profitability. The research findings shed light on the significance of premium collection in guiding investment decisions in the life insurance sector. The findings of this study can contribute to the formulation of effective premium collection and investment strategies to maximize profits in this industry.

A snowball sampling approach was used to collect the data from 20 small and medium scale industries in Nepal. 300 workers from the four industrial estates, who work in a range of industries, make up the sample. These workers' viewpoints served as the foundation for this study's analysis. Three stages were involved in gathering these workers' viewpoints. Many factors determine the effective implementation of GHRM practices. The notable determinants include societal contribution, environmental concerns, competitive financial advantage, economic considerations, government pressure, government incentives, community pressure, top management support, market share growth, media relations strategies, public relations strategies, and sustainable policies. However, many potential factors create barriers to the implementation of GHRM practices in their indust...

It has employed descriptive and causal comparative research design to estimate the relationship between dependent variable (organizational performance) with independent variables (differentiation strategy, cost leadership strategy, focus strategy, organization’s core competency and bank size). Data has been collected from 384 respondents by using structured questionnaire. The multiple regression model has been used to test the relationship. It is found that organizational performance of banks are influenced by cost leadership, differentiation, focus, organization’s core competency and bank size.

A descriptive research design has been used for the analysis of available information. Four independent variables (Attractiveness, Celebrity, Expertise, and Trust Worthiness) and a dependent variable ‘Buying behavior’ are considered in this study. Structured questionnaires were distributed to the respondent for the collection of information. Responses from the 205 respondents have been used for the analysis. Questionnaires were distributed using the convenience sampling technique. Inferential statistics have been applied to interpret and analyze the data. Data are explained and analyzed using Excel and SPSS software. The result found that celebrity endorsement affects the buying behavior of people. The marketplace must carefully assess the celebrities to ensure that the target clients have a favorable perception of them.

This study aimed to evaluate the clinicoendoscopic profile and outcome among patients aged <60 years who presented for UGI bleeding compared to those aged ≥60 years. Methods This prospective observational study was conducted among 194 patients who presented with symptoms or signs of UGI bleed. All patients were divided into two groups, group A (age <60 years), and group B (age ≥60 years). UGI endoscopy was performed using Olympus N19 Endoscope. Rockall scoring (RS) system and Glasgow Blatchford score (GBS) were used to predict the prognosis and re-bleeding. Results Of the total, group A included 150 (77.31%) patients and group B 44 (22.69%) patients. The most common presentation was hematemesis and melena in both groups, whilst isolated hematochezia was more common in group A (6.67%, vs. 2.27%, p>0.05). The main cause of bleeding was a variceal bleed in both groups, but it was significantly higher in group A patients (p<0.05). Elderly patients had a significantly higher number of peptic ulcer and malignancy-related bleed (p<0.05). Group A patients had a significantly higher proportion of patients with tachycardia (45.33%, vs. 27.27%, p<0.05), shock (43.33% vs. 13.63%, p<0.05), pallor (76.66% vs. 56.81%, p<0.05), and blood transfusion requirement (64% vs. 45.45%, p<0.05) as compared to group B. Thirty days re-bleeding and mortality rate were similar in both the groups. RS in both groups was 5.02±2.12 vs. 5.98±1.91, p>0.05. GBS was 11.65±4.61 vs. 10.68±4.65, p>0.05. Mortality was significantly higher in patients with RS ≥6 and GBS ≥10. Conclusion This study concluded variceal bleeding as a predominant cause of UGI bleed in both age groups, and it was significantly higher in younger. Interestingly, younger patients were more hemodynamically unstable, probably due to the presence of more severe anemia, shock, and hematochezia. The presence of multiple comorbidities in both the group kept the 30 days mortality and re-bleed rates similar.

The success or failure of every modern organization largely depends upon the fact that how effectively it has adopted and applied MCS. Hence, MCSs are an integral part of every organization.
