This study is based on the globally published literatures on research data management during 2000-2019 (20 years of duration) data extracted from the Scopus & Web of Science (WoS) databases and their Merged file. The analysis and results compares the similarity and differences in between Scopus & WoS, and further each one of them with the Merged file. The study reveals that around 32% of globally published literatures on research data management were indexed in both the Scopus and WoS databases. It compares both the sources in terms of parameters like annual literatures growth & trends, top authors production, authorship & collaboration pattern, most relevant sources & affiliations, country scientific production and international collaboration, etc. along with the merged file of both the datasets as well wherever possible.

Most of industries/sectors have applied this concept by giving out their some functions or services to outsourcing agencies. As libraries are considered service agencies, they have also accepted this concept to provide the best services to their users. Authors have selected 81 academic libraries in Ahmedabad city and tried to find out types of services or functions which are outsourced by targeted libraries. This research article also focuses on advantages, disadvantages, reasons, and opinions of librarians behind the outsourcing.

It also emphasizes on the use of Information Communication Technology (ICT) at the bottom of the pyramid to enable the rural citizenry to access the resources available at the Rural Information Centre (RIC). It also examines how the RIC can help the government, Non Government Organizations (NGOs) and Self Help Groups (SHGs) to alleviate poverty, eradicate illiteracy and generate awareness about health, self-employment, the right to information and the benefits of e-governance for sustainable development at the bottom of the pyramid.

The bibliographic information (title, author, newspaper's name, date, product category, brand name, and company name, etc.) as well as full text (down-loading from website of concerned newspaper) of the article is recorded in the newspaper module. The whole procedure is done in WINISIS software and then the data is converted/up-loaded in GENISIS software to make accessible the web-catalogue of newspaper clippings for its end-users. Over the period of time using CDS/ISIS software (DOS, windows, GENISIS versions) which type problems were faced and resolved, the merits and demerits of every version, etc., have been discussed in this paper. In the age of information technology, the IT professionals and other organisations are designing effective but very costly software. The small libraries don't have capacity to carry too much financial burden by purchasing these types of software. However they wish to get their libraries automated and make the resources available to their users by applying very cost-effective software. This paper describes how the CDS/ISIS software will become a boon for these types of information providers (libraries/information centres) and information receiver (users/clients). This paper focuses on every stage of evolution of CDS/ISIS and it's successful implication in KEIC.

They used their websites to show their products and services with significant information content. As websites grew in number it became difficult for customer to locate or search the net for sites of their choice. Search engines thus emerged and went on to become key players, directing millions of surfers to various sites to get online search of their choice. However the phenomenal growth of search engines was accompanied by unprecedented choices opening up for the customer. This phase was marked by the transformation of search engines/directories into portals. Instead of competing on width offered by horizontal portals, players were forced to compete on depth. The libraries did not become aloof from the Net revolution. They also launched portals to attract the specific group of interest. This concept brought paradigm shift in the sense of “right information to right user from approaching relevant information”, “save the time of users from separating irrelevant information”, “educate the users for self search by arranging contents in specific manner”.
