To achieve sustainability, oil and gas firms have to initiate and complete projects to scope, schedule, cost and quality. Hence, efficient Project Management Methodologies (PMMs) play a crucial role in successful project delivery. A conceptual model, adopted from the literature, was used to assess the influence of PMMs on project success. Based on a questionnaire data from 95 project management practitioners within the oil and gas industry in the Kingdom of Bahrain, correlational and regression analyses were used to test the research hypotheses. The quantitative study was backed with 17 semi-structured interviews to obtain in-depth understanding about the organizational PMMs. The major finding of the study revealed that applied PMMs have higher influence on project success in comparison with comprehensive PMMs. The companies in the oil and gas industry in Bahrain need to pay sharper attention to their methodologies and get them evolved with time to achieve higher success rates.

Method: The design of the study is experimental design that uses two groups, gratitude and control. It uses also work related intervention journaling-listing approach. The sample is employees in education and retailer sectors in Bahrain (N=145). Participants are measured at two point of time pre-test and post-test.The measurements used are self-report five scales; dispositional gratitude questionnaire, subjective well-being questionnaire, Positive and negative affect scale, Job satisfaction questionnaire and Affective Organizational Commitment. In addition, two questions to explore how employee evaluate their gratefulness towards specific events, people and experience and how do they prefer their managers to express their gratitude towards them at work.Findings: In term of the demographic result, most of the participants are female 56%, belongs to (24-30) age group, 90% from education sector, 80% are married, 65% earns average monthly income between 751 and 1000, 73% are bachelor holders and 97% Muslims. The outcomes have revealed that the gratitude intervention used was not effective since the independent t-test was not statistically significance. 91% of employees preferred word of gratitude and thankfulness from their boss as an appreciation expression towards them. More than 97% of the participants were grateful to their good health and to theirfamily, spouse, children and parents. Conclusion and recommendation: The insignificant results of the used intervention in the current study may suggest for future studies to consider other methods to facilitate gratitude in the workplace. Finally, Gratitude is important in both general life and work place. Theoretical and practical implications of these findings are discussed.

A quantitative approach and combination of descriptive and correlational research design is reflected in this study. Customers in Bahraini market whose age range is between 15 and 50 years were deemed to be research population; to form a representative sample, non-probability sampling technique was applied, specifically combination of convenient and judgmental sampling method. While in deciding the size of the sample, ratio sampling was used; total of 384 customers using confidence level of 95% were the research sample. As for data collection, the researcher used structured interview questionnaire as an instrument to extract the raw data and 16 business logos were presented equally to customers, those logos belong to four distinctive industries in Bahrain: food, medical, beauty services, and fashion. As for the demographic profile, most of customers in the sample were female (54.9%) that belonged to the age range between 18-24 years old (33%) with income range between 301 and 600 BD (41.1%) from Capital Governorate (41.9%); in term of education level most of respondents have bachelor's degree holder (58.1%). The research concluded with significant findings, one of which was that the relationship profile revealed that all of the demographic variables inserted in the research had significant correlation with the customer's overall logo recognition and in addition to the other aspects associated with recognition, such as logo scope recognition, logo industry recognition, and company name recognition. Moreover, it has been concluded that the scope of all medical logos in the research was mostly moderately by the customer beside many other findings.

Methodology: a quantitative design using a questionnaire based on the DeLone and McLean Information System Success Model (2003) was employed to examine the key determinants comprise of SQ (system quality), IQ (information quality), SerQ (service quality) as the independent variables and their effect on the US (user satisfaction), U (system use) and the perceived NB (net benefits) as the success measures. There are 324 respondents consisting of doctors, nurses, technicians, pharmacists and admin staff of hospitals. Data were analyzed using SPSS. Findings: SQ, IQ and SerQ are significantly positively related to US and U, and the two later are in turns significantly positively related to the perceived NB out of the system to both users and organizations. Research implications: the research reflects the experience of using innovative healthcare technologies in the Middle East and its results show the importance of improving the systems technical quality to ensure more satisfied users, more utilized technologies and to reach the optimal purpose of implementing these systems and reap out their prospected benefits. Moreover, sufficient training and full dependency on the systems are required to get more confident users and reduce the daily work load.

Generally speaking, e-learning has been viewed as the process of transforming the educational delivery from the traditional modes of learning toward those requiring content delivery via information technology. This is achieved by implementing creative and interactive models utilizing technological platforms aimed at sustaining the learning process. Upon reviewing the literature related to the educational process, one can observe that educational process has undergone many changes since the last century, starting from the printing of learning materials, hardcopy handouts to be given to students as homework, to developing educational recorded media, to creating educational television programs, to recent innovative interactive web-based learning tools supported by Smartphone e-learning student-centric applications. Obviously, technological advancement has contributed significantly to this evolution of the teaching paradigm, resulting in new curriculum design and teaching strategies, and leading to the creation of new teaching delivery platforms aimed at efficient and effective learning outcomes and establishing strong linkage between students and teachers within the learning equation. However, while the new e-learning paradigm has transformed learning itself, it has also resulted in many challenges for the stakeholders, prompting them to either embrace or dismiss the e-learning evolution. Dismissing or ignoring the adoption e-learning would put them at disadvantage compared to their more technologically literate peers. E-learning applications and platforms are being disseminated across different levels of educational framework, from the early learning stage to the higher educational levels. Following an investigation of the relationship between the e-learning development and the higher education, Laurillard (2004) concluded that e-learning can support students through capabilities, such as Internet access, allowing access to digital version of the teaching material irrespective of the physical devices utilized. It also facilitates communication and collaboration with other learners as well as the faculty, and provides means for interactive simulation and data mining capabilities to distance learners. Integrating and encompassing wide range of innovative technologies, including online embedded webcam conference environment, is another benefit of e-learning. However, the issue of acceptance and adoptability of the e-learning model has been the focus of the educational institutions, especially those at the higher educational level. Likewise, there is a need to explore the faculty attitudes toward the usefulness of e-learning at the institutions of higher learning. Therefore, the first aim of this study is to understand the faculty perceptions toward the existing elearning platform and examine the impact of e-learning on conventional teaching from the perspectives of students and faculty.

The purpose of this paper is to report on the first Bahraini experience, with respect to a medical information system and its implications on the medical practice in Bahrain Defence Force Hospital (State of the Arabian Gulf), starting from the assessment methodologies, development and implementation strategy, user evaluation and return value. There are several reasons why the Bahraini experience is unique and different from the western world, among these are the assessment study, implementation strategy, training and support from both clinicians and management, in addition to the culture factors.

Methodology: The study followed a quantitative design employing a questionnaire based on the Extended Technology acceptance Model (TAM2) to test the relationship between the acceptance of EMRs and the factors affecting it; System Perceived Usefulness (PU), Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU), Job Relevance and Output Quality in addition to descriptive questions to understand the extent of use of the mobile medical Apps among the physicians. The study covered 53 physicians from various hospitals across Bahrain. SPSS was used to analyze data. Findings: Acceptance of EMR is positively affected by US, EOU, Job Relevance and Output Quality and thus accepts all the intended hypothesis. Implication: the research emphasizes on the role of hospitals' management to introduce the importance, usefulness and impact of such technological advancements on the physicians work flow and quality of patient care and to provide effective training and support on how to use the implemented EMR so end-users may own the system.
