Synthesis of nanoparticles by the recently developed green approach is extremely promising becaus... more Synthesis of nanoparticles by the recently developed green approach is extremely promising because of its non-toxicity and environmentally friendly nature. In present investigation, Nb2O5 nanoparticles were prepared by environmental friendly way from niobium ethaoxide using Aloe Vera leaf pulp. The synthesis of Nb2O5 nanoparticles was confirmed by systematic characterization using XRD, EDX, Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) surface area measurements and FTIR studies. The removal efficiency of Remazol yellow RR dye over the as synthesized Nb2O5 nanoparticles as a photocatalyst was determined along with emphasizing on the parameters of initial dye concentration, catalyst loading and pH. For the photocatalytic degradation of Remazol yellow RR dye solutions pH was varied in the range of 2 to 9. For the optimization, the maximum decolorization of 95 % was observed in 120 min for low initial dye concentration of 30 mg/L for 1.5 g/L of Nb2O5 photocatalyst. Besides, the effects of oxidant specie...
Ultrasonic velocity, density and viscosity of tryptophan and glycine in aqueous solutions of ZnCl... more Ultrasonic velocity, density and viscosity of tryptophan and glycine in aqueous solutions of ZnCl 2 as well as CoCl 2 have been measured at 303.15 K experimentally. From these experimentally measured values, the apparent molar volume (ф v), apparent molar compressibility (ф K), viscosity coefficients of Jones-Dole equation and other parameters have been calculated at experimental temperature. These values have been used to explain molecular association, solute-solvent interactions through hydrogen bonding and solvation. The results have been discussed in the light of existing theories of molecular interactions and structural effects on solvent in solution. Proteins belong to one of the most important class of compounds in molecular biology 1 . The interactions of their various chemical groups with water molecules and in aqueous solution of biologically important metal ions play a very important role in understanding the thermodynamics of many biochemical processes in the living syst...
Volumetric, viscometric and ultrasonic studies of adenosine in aqueous solution of zinc chloride ... more Volumetric, viscometric and ultrasonic studies of adenosine in aqueous solution of zinc chloride and cobaltous chloride have been carried out at 303.15 K. The experimental data have been used to evaluate some important and useful thermodynamic and acoustic parameters, viz. apparent molar vol ume (cjJv), apparent molar compressibility (cjJk)' viscosity A and B coefficient of lones-Dole equation, relative association and intermolecular free length. These parameters have been further used to interpret the results in terms of solute-solvent interactions. Attempts have also been made to explain changes in the water structure when a cosolvent is added.

Novel series of 1-substituted-2-thio-(1H)-4-(3-phenylthiocarbamido-1-yl)- 6-(1-substituted- guani... more Novel series of 1-substituted-2-thio-(1H)-4-(3-phenylthiocarbamido-1-yl)- 6-(1-substituted- guanidino-3-yl)-1,2-dihydro-s-triazine (4a(i) to 4f(ii)) has been obtained by the isomerisation of 2-(1- substitutedguanidino-3-yl)-4- (3-phenylthiocarbamido-1-yl)-6- substitutedimino-1,3,5-thiadiazine (3a(i) to 3f(ii)) in presence of ethanolic sodium bicarbonate solution, which have been obtained by basification of their hydrochlorides (2a(i) to 2f(ii)) which are synthesized by the interaction of 1-Formamidino- (N- substitutedthioamido)- 5-phenyl-2-thio-4-iminobiuret (1a-f) and N-aryl/alkylisocyanodichlorides. The latter were prepared initially by the condensation of N-aryl/alkylisothiocyanate withN-phenylformamidinoformamidinothiocarbamide. The structure of all these compounds was established on the basis of elemental analysis, IR and PMR spectral data.
