Data used for the study were solely primary data and were collected from the top and middle-level managers of different departments and senior experts working under the production/operation and quality management units of the target organizations. Data were obtained from 302 participants working in 73 companies using a self-administered questionnaire. In the past couple of decades, the manufacturing industry began to accept the necessity of enviro... more In the past couple of decades, the manufacturing industry began to accept the necessity of environmental management and started to implement environmental management programs to compete in the global market. Thus, green supply chain management (GSCM) has emerged as an important organizational strategy in the modern business environment. In Ethiopia, many manufacturing firms adopt GSCM principles into their systems. Environmental concepts are embraced by many manufacturing industries, specifically in the Leather industry, which is one sector affected due to their unique features such as raw material, process, and environmental regulations. The main purpose of this study was to identify barriers to implementation of green supply chain management in Ethiopia leather& leather product industry. Data were gathered through survey methods. Participants represented the top and middle-level managers in the leather industry in Ethiopia. This study employed a descriptive type of research and it employed a survey research strategy to capture the relevant information from the respondent. The instrument used for data collection was a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics (Mean & standard deviation). The findings show that cost of implementation, Lack of customer's awareness towards GSCM & green products, Lack of skilled/quality/ human resource professionals in sustainability, experience training to personals in GSCM were rated as major challenges in implementing green supply chain management

The finding of the paper emphasises that there are a number of issues prevailing due to which the entrepreneur not only faces stress, but their business does not function in an appropriate way. In India, earlier Company Act 1956, now Company Act 2013 is the governing act for companies. In addition to this, many rules and amendments were also issued over the past few years. The present paper sought to study the disclosure requirements of Large Cap, Mid Cap and Small Cap companies of Auto Sector listed on Bombay Stock Exchange of India. The sample taken regarding Auto sector consisted of Auto component and Automobile sector. The disclosure score was calculated on the basis of Index prepared on the basis of regulatory framework and review of literature. Independent sample t-test and One-Way ANOVA were applied to test whether there was significant difference between the disclosure practices of these three market capitalizations. The study found that there was difference in the reporting environment of Large Cap, Mid Cap and Small Cap companies.

Exploratory factor analysis and ANOVA were performed. Further, post hoc was conducted to find out which variable differs significantly.FindingsThe findings indicates that five parameters, namely workload, working environment, concentration, positivity and future perspective are the factors that are responsible to create stress in employees. There is great impact on health as “frequency of visit to a doctor” and “numbers of diseases” they have are high and “employee's time spared for exercise” is less.Research limitations/implicationsSince the survey was conducted only in power sector, it is difficult to generalize the results. The study found that there was no significant difference found between the perception of chartered accountant on basis of gender, location, educational background, occupation, age and experience. Data was obtained from a survey of 302 participants found in 73 ISO 9001:2008 certified manufacturing organizations. Motivation of health workers is necessary to generate the organizational commitment towards the p... more Motivation of health workers is necessary to generate the organizational commitment towards the patients and the hospital and therefore the knowledge about what motivates and satisfies them is very essential.The aim of the project was to investigate and analyze the various factors that help in motivation of the health workers while performing their clinical duties in the hospital. A simple random study was conducted among 100 employees of our institute, which included doctors, staff nurses and paramedical staff. One hundred employees from Gian Sagar Institute were chosen randomly for the purpose of our study. All the employees were enquired by the questionnaire method as well as by individual interviews regarding the various motivating and demotivating factors at the work place. Detailed enquiries were performed regarding the various aspects concerning the job factors and work satisfaction. All the answers and findings were observed and recorded. Simple non-parametric tests like mean, percentages and chi square tests were employed to analyze the data.The demographic profile of all the employees showed only minor differences which were statistically non-significant. Skills, task identity, task significance, autonomy, feedback, environment, job security and compensation were observed to be the important factors for the motivation of employees. The depth and the extent to which these factors were studied at work in the hospital showed remarkable differences. All the factors studied in this project are essential basis for organizational commitment, but feedback represents the factor with the highest motivation potential especially among the younger population.

Primary data was collected from the managers and senior experts working under the production and quality management units of the surveyed firms. Data was obtained from a survey of 302 participants found in 73 ISO 9001:2008 certified manufacturing organizations. Both EFA and CFA were applied to validate and confirm the instrument, and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was used to test the hypotheses.FindingsThe results revealed that among the practices of TQM used in the model only supplier quality management, continuous improvement and process management were found to have significant and positive effect on the operational performance of the ISO 9001:2008 certified manufacturing organizations in Ethiopia.Resear...

Motivation of health workers is necessary to generate the organizational commitment towards the p... more Motivation of health workers is necessary to generate the organizational commitment towards the patients and the hospital and therefore the knowledge about what motivates and satisfies them is very essential.The aim of the project was to investigate and analyze the various factors that help in motivation of the health workers while performing their clinical duties in the hospital. A simple random study was conducted among 100 employees of our institute, which included doctors, staff nurses and paramedical staff. One hundred employees from Gian Sagar Institute were chosen randomly for the purpose of our study. All the employees were enquired by the questionnaire method as well as by individual interviews regarding the various motivating and demotivating factors at the work place. Detailed enquiries were performed regarding the various aspects concerning the job factors and work satisfaction. All the answers and findings were observed and recorded. Simple non-parametric tests like mean, percentages and chi square tests were employed to analyze the data.The demographic profile of all the employees showed only minor differences which were statistically non-significant. Skills, task identity, task significance, autonomy, feedback, environment, job security and compensation were observed to be the important factors for the motivation of employees. The depth and the extent to which these factors were studied at work in the hospital showed remarkable differences. All the factors studied in this project are essential basis for organizational commitment, but feedback represents the factor with the highest motivation potential especially among the younger population.

Thus, green supply chain management (GSCM) has emerged as an important organizational strategy in modern business environment. In Ethiopia, many manufacturing firms adopt GSCM principles into their systems. Environmental concepts are embraced by many manufacturing industries, specifically in Leather industry, is one sector affected due to its unique features such as a raw materials, process and environmental regulations. The main purpose of this study was to identify barriers to implementation of green supply chain management in Ethiopia leather& leather product industry. Data were gathered trough survey methods. Participants represented top and middle levels mangers in the leather industry in Ethiopia. This study employed descriptive type of research and it employed a survey research strategy to capture the relevant information from the respondent. The instrument used for data collection was questionnaire. Data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics (Mean & standard deviation). The finding show that cost of implementation, Lack of customer's awareness towards GSCM & green products, Lack of skilled/quality/ human resource professionals in sustainability , experience training to personals in GSCM were rated as major challenges in implementing green supply chain management
