The concept of governance was decisively shaped by the aspirations of founding fathers of the Con... more The concept of governance was decisively shaped by the aspirations of founding fathers of the Constitution. The constitution of our country is governed by certain values which are shared by the people and the government. The commitment to the values enshrined in our constitution greatly influences the quality of governance in our country. These values are those of nationalism, democracy and secularism. There are two features that tend to add to the difficulties in governing the country. The political institutions since 1970 have progressively shown their inability to respond to society's changing concerns. They have become inefficient and immune to social demands. Political leadership has also given its own push in this direction by undermining them in their eagerness to private profiteering and/or personal domination. This is so much true of governmental institutions as of political parties. The other major change has been political awakening among all sections of society including both prosperous and disadvantaged groups. The result is that people are now more politically conscious, more dominant and more impatient with other social groups and with governments that do not respond adequately to their rising expectations and demands and because of such an awakening among the masses it has more difficult to govern the country at time when political degradation has seriously damaged the image and status of government". Because of the above mentioned factors the concern for good governance is catching attention of policy makers, political leadership and the people at large. Good governance, means securing justice, empowerment, employment and efficient form of government. The need is to formulate a national policy that restores the image and status of the government in the eyes of the citizens by making the government accountable for its actions by ushering the era of good governance for the betterment of our nation.

With the gradual rise of internet, a profusion of learning resources on virtually any topic and in a variety of mediums may now be accessed by an infinite number of individuals from anywhere and at any time of the day. This is especially important for many secondary schools in underdeveloped nations, where library resources are scarce and obsolete. The present study was undertaken to explore the Usage of ICT in relation to Self-Efficacy among secondary school teachers. The investigator collected data from 76 teachers of private and 45 teachers teaching in government secondary schools of Varanasi. Two sets of questionnaires consisting of usage of ICT and self-efficacy based on the Five-point Likert Scale were used to collect data from the secondary school teachers in Varanasi. Percentage analysis was used to explore the levels of self-efficacy and ICT usage among secondary school teachers. Furthermore, product-moment correlation and t-test were employed to find out the relationship and significant differences between ICT usage and self-efficacy between private and government secondary school teachers of Varanasi city. The findings of the study revealed that the majority of secondary school teachers came under the category of average level of ICT usage and Self-Efficacy. The study also revealed that there was a significant relationship between high and average levels of ICT usage and the self-efficacy of secondary school teachers. The study also revealed that there was a significant difference in the ICT usage and self-efficacy of government and private secondary school teachers.

With the COVID-19 pandemic in its third year, the war in Ukraine has exacerbated the food, energy, humanitarian, and refugee crises, all against the backdrop of an unfolding climate emergency. The aim of this research is to analyse the challenges faced by postgraduate programmes in training human talent for sustainable development on the basis of Grounded Theory. To do so, we have used a dialogical intervention through the complementary experiences of authorities of higher-education institutions that live day by day for a fair, quality, and sustainable education. With a naturalistic qualitative method, where the hermeneutic analysis procedure is structured in five phases, and with data from key informants from 9 countries, 20 interviews are obtained with key informants in Latin American and Spanish univers...

India is a land of great diversity with students coming from different soicio-economic backgrounds. In the presence of social diversity in India, it is difficult to change the social background of students, parents and their economic conditions. Therefore the only option left for us is to provide uniform teaching learning resources or methods throughout the country. For high quality education throughout India there must be some nation wide network, which provides quality education to all students, including the student from the rural areas and villages. The solution to this problem is Web-Based Learning. India is well placed at the dawn of information and technology era. For India to become a knowledge society, it has to be a learning society first. These tools are described as social networking technologies underlining their ability to facilitate the establishment of networks. The recent advances in field of science and technology in this millennium has opened doors to a whole new world of teaching and learning where clicking of the mouse and touching of screen can work wonders. (Shamshir Singh and Ranjit Kaur, 2011). Social Networking sites (SNS) such as ‘Face book’ or “twitter” have proved to be extremely effective in connecting people and in facilitating the exchange of information. In addition SNS also fits well the requirements of a social constructivist approach to Education. Teaching related stress, commonly termed ‘teacher stress’, is defined as a teacher's experience of “unpleasant, negative emotions, such as anger, anxiety, tension, frustration, or depression, resulting from some aspect of their work as a teacher.” Like other forms of occupational stress, it can have serious implications for the healthy functioning of the individual as well as for the organization in which the individual serves. At a present level, teaching related stress can affect a teacher's health, well being, and performance. From an organizational perspective, it translates to unproductive employee behaviours such as alienation, apathy, and absenteeism. Hence, even after three decades of research efforts, the study of teachers stress, particularly its sources and its manifestations, continues to attract widespread interest and attention.
