This article discusses a preliminary study of developing a paddlewheel aerator for shrimp ponds u... more This article discusses a preliminary study of developing a paddlewheel aerator for shrimp ponds using an integrated intelligent aquaculture system to support intensification. Two paddlewheel aerators with different phases have been successfully installed. The test was carried out on two different types of motors, which were intended to comprehend the performance of every motor on a paddlewheel aerator. The ratio of the speed values for a single-phase motor was 102 rpm and for a 3-phase motor was 110.3 rpm. The data from the performance observation of the aeration wheel motor can be viewed via a smartphone using a website application. The data displayed from the observations are in the form of data on voltage, current, frequency, power, power factor, and the power generated by the pinwheel motor. Axial fans are used for ventilation systems and other cooling systems. The blade design of the axial fan requires an airfoil study. Unfortunately, there are not many articles that discuss in detail about airfoils, especially on noise and vibration that can have an impact on axial fan performance using computational fluid methods or software. This study performs axial fan analysis using computational methods with ANSYS Fluent, Static Structural, Modal and Harmonic Response software to obtain the values of stress, vibration and fluid flow. The experimental design used is using NACA 1412, 4142, and 6412 airfoils on the tip with variations in angles of 60, 74, and 80. While on the hub uses NACA 9312, 9412, and 9512 airfoils with angle variations of 20, 30, and 60 and simulated to find the value of vibration and stress analysis. Mayoritas nelayan tradisional menggunakan tempat penyimpanan sederhana seperti kotak styrofoam, p... more Mayoritas nelayan tradisional menggunakan tempat penyimpanan sederhana seperti kotak styrofoam, peti kayu, dan palka sederhana dengan media pendinginan es balok. Penyimpanan tersebut belum memiliki insulasi yang baik sehingga berakibat pada kualitas ikan yang menurun. Belum lagi keluhan terkait cepat rusaknya box ikan yang terbuat dari styrofoam tersebut. Kekurangan kotak ikan berbahan styrofoam adalah sangat mudah rusak dan berlumut. Beberapa penelitian memberikan solusi untuk menginsulasi palka dengan beberapa bahan insulasi seperti polyurethane, sekam padi, aluminium dan sebagainya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menurunkan laju perpindahan panas pada palka ikan kapal 7GT dengan variasi kevakuman dan persentase es terhadap ikan. Hal ini yang melatarbelakangi suatu simulasi energi gelombang dengan penggerak sistem bandul yang ditempatkan di dalam sebuah tangki. Tugas akhir ini difokuskan pada respon kecepatan gerak bandul dengan variasi massa dan panjang bandul untuk memperoleh energi maksimal dari sebuah bandul yang berosilasi secara harmonik terhadap goncangan air. Diawali dengan pemodelan matematis pada sistem ponton-bandul dengan tiga derajat kebebasan kemudian dilakukan analisa terhadap respon gerakan ponton. Tujuannya adalah untuk mendapatkan satu model yang paling optimum. The lines formed in such a way in the speed field will form a streamline stream so that the lines are in line with the flow at each point in the flow field. Thus, the streamline will form a pattern of airflow around the helmet. This aerodynamic characteristic study was performed on time meter helmet body visualized numerically using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) with Solid Work Flow Simulation software. With variation of Trailing Edge 25 mm, 75 mm, 125 mm. Urgency research about helm time trial is believed to provide information about the flow that occurred. The result shows that the drag coefficient reduction that occurs on the cut variation of 75 mm compared with other variations on the Reynolds number 1.16 x 105 of 0.395.

The objective of this paper is to present an overview of the basic principles of thermal insulation, the example of building energy modeling using polyethylene insulation materials, and to survey the most commonly used building insulation materials as well as their performance characteristics. Currently, pyrolysis technology is one method that can overcome plastic waste. Pyrolysis is a thermochemical process, which breaks down long alkyl chains into hydrocarbons at high temperatures. This study aims to determine the effect of temperature on yield and heating value using the analysis of variance (ANOVA) method. The pyrolysis of plastic waste is carried out with HDPE plastic material. The pyrolysis process is carried out in a reactor with 50 grams of feed at various temperatures of 500, 550, 600 and 650⁰C. The conclusion that can be drawn from this research is that there is a decrease in yield and calorific value with increasing temperature. The results of the analysis concluded that temperature had an effect on the yield produced and the calorific value of the product. The aim of this research is designing and testing an Induced Draft Cooling Tower (IDCT). The Cool... more The aim of this research is designing and testing an Induced Draft Cooling Tower (IDCT). The Cooling tower is the main instrument which used to cool the hot water from the condenser and release heat into the atmosphere at a power plant. Temperature is maintaining as cool as original condition. One of the components of the cooling tower is filler. It is very influential on IDCT performance, where the contact surface between water and air is expanded and the contact time is extended. An experimental study to evaluated the heat and mass transfer coefficient is conducted. A heat transfer correlation is developed; a new variable is defined. The effect of controlling parameters such as range of temperature, heat rejected rates, effectiveness has been analysed. IDCT was filled with a straight, zigzag and wave filler. The results indicate that the tower characteristics increase with increase cold air velocity, with the variation of filler, the highest tower characteristics get from wave filler arrangement.

Plastic is waste that is difficult to degrade and takes hundreds of years to decompose. One of the promising technologies for recycling plastics is pyrolysis. This is the process of breaking long chains of polymers into hydrocarbons which are carried out at high temperatures. The purpose of this paper was to know the effect of using catalysts and non-catalysts on yield and calorific value. In this study, the pyrolysis process used a natural zeolite catalyst with a temperature of 500ºC. 50 grams of HDPE Plastic feed was put into the reactor for 3 hours. The variations in the addition of Zeolite catalyst were 1.5, 2.5, 3.75 and 5%wt. The results goals that the highest yield was 44.36% and the heating value of 10230.295 cal/g for the addition of 5 grams of catalyst. The lines formed in such a way in the speed field will form a streamline stream so that the lines are in line with the flow at each point in the flow field. Thus, the streamline will form a pattern of airflow around the helmet. This aerodynamic characteristic study was performed on time meter helmet body visualized numerically using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) with Solid Work Flow Simulation software. With variation of Trailing Edge 25 mm, 75 mm, 125 mm. Urgency research about helm time trial is believed to provide information about the flow that occurred. The result shows that the drag coefficient reduction that occurs on the cut variation of 75 mm compared with other variations on the Reynolds number 1.16 x 105 of 0.395.

Currently, pyrolysis technology is one method that can overcome plastic waste. Pyrolysis is a thermochemical process, which breaks down long alkyl chains into hydrocarbons at high temperatures. This study aims to determine the effect of temperature on yield and heating value using the analysis of variance (ANOVA) method. The pyrolysis of plastic waste is carried out with HDPE plastic material. The pyrolysis process is carried out in a reactor with 50 grams of feed at various temperatures of 500, 550, 600 and 650⁰C. The conclusion that can be drawn from this research is that there is a decrease in yield and calorific value with increasing temperature. The results of the analysis concluded that temperature had an effect on the yield produced and the calorific value of the product. The Cooling tower is the main instrument which used to cool the hot water from the condenser and release heat into the atmosphere at a power plant. Temperature is maintaining as cool as original condition. One of the components of the cooling tower is filler. It is very influential on IDCT performance, where the contact surface between water and air is expanded and the contact time is extended. An experimental study to evaluated the heat and mass transfer coefficient is conducted. A heat transfer correlation is developed; a new variable is defined. The effect of controlling parameters such as range of temperature, heat rejected rates, effectiveness has been analysed. IDCT was filled with a straight, zigzag and wave filler. The results indicate that the tower characteristics increase with increase cold air velocity, with the variation of filler, the highest tower characteristics get from wave filler arrangement.

This is the process of breaking long chains of polymers into hydrocarbons which are carried out at high temperatures. The purpose of this paper was to know the effect of using catalysts and non-catalysts on yield and calorific value. In this study, the pyrolysis process used a natural zeolite catalyst with a temperature of 500ºC. 50 grams of HDPE Plastic feed was put into the reactor for 3 hours. The variations in the addition of Zeolite catalyst were 1.5, 2.5, 3.75 and 5%wt. The results goals that the highest yield was 44.36% and the heating value of 10230.295 cal/g for the addition of 5 grams of catalyst.
