Presence of this organic acid plays an important role in human health and on the shelf life of the product. The purpose of this study was the determination of vitamin C content in some imported commercial fruit juices traded in Albania. Samples were chosen randomly in Tirana’s hypermarkets. Content of ascorbic acid was determined by redox titration with iodine solution and UV-spectrophotometric methods using potassium permanganate as a chromogenic reagent. Results were analyzed by two-sample t-test equal means. Content of ascorbic acid in commercial fruit juices determined by volumetric methods varied from 5.28 mg/100mL to 39.63 mg/100mL. The level of ascorbic acid according to the spectrophotometric method varied from 8.7 mg/100mL to 49.33 mg/100mL. Based on two-sample t-test for equal means of vitamin C for the content in fruit juices revealed that there is no significant d...

These pathogens can cause serious damage in agriculture, which can lead in critical losses of yield, quality and profit. This article review covers information over the triazoles which belong to the group of systematic fungicides. Actually, the triazoles play an important role on controlling and treatment of fungal diseases of: vegetables, legumes, grasses and crops in general and of apple scab in particular. This group of pesticides acts by inhibiting sterol synthesis. Many toxicological studies have shown an extensive oral absorption for some triazoles such as myclobutanil, penconazole, difenconazole, tebuconazole, etc. The proposed classification of these fungicides is Xn, R22 harmful if swallowed. The oral LD50 for penconazole varies from 200 mg/ kg bw in rates to 2000 mg/kg bw in rabbits; LD50 for myclobutanil in mammals is 1600mg/kg bw; LD50 for tebuconazole 1700 mg/kg bw; ...

Moreover, processes such as filtration, storage conditions and pasteurization reduce the risk of contamination. Bottling is one of the most complex aspects of brewery operations, and the most labor intensive of the entire production process. This study is focused on hygienic control in bottling and dispensing of beer system because it ensures a very good quality of the final product. It is important to detect as soon as possible dangerous microorganisms that affect the quality, and optimization of cleaning procedures. To achieve our goal we used rapid tests and microbiological cultivation methods with some standard and selective media, suitable for the examination and detection of the presence of harmful microorganisms. Also are carried out physico-chemical analyses for bottled beer in returnable and non-returnable bottles, and keg b...

It was just starting step by step in the recent years to be in the fish marketing and wider trade. The competition is still far from that accrued in the well-developed countries, where the trends and status of aquaculture are directly influencing the fishery and environmental state as well. In Albania this is probably due to the fact that the marine aquaculture is a new activity and it is concentrated in limited areas mostly at the southern side of the country. Looking to the globalisation and the overall policy of integration of albania, the biggest problem for aquaculture is that the most demanding species of fishes (sea bass and sea bream-Sparus aurata and Dicentrarchus labrax) imported mainly from greece, who compete with relatively low prices. there is modest state of development related to the freshwater aquaculture that is not affecting the fishery due to the fact it is concentrated on fingerlings used for restocking these waters. The fingerlings consist of carps, grass and plankton feeding species-Cyprinus carpio, Aristichthys nobilis, Ctenopharyngodon idella, Megalobrama amblycephala (for lakes and reservoirs) and the ohrid trout (Salmo letnica) for the ohrid lake. the issue on the impacts and how much can afford our system of aquaculture was never touched up to now. Having in mind the global trends, food demand and prices, trends and tourism development there is a demand for evaluation of the sustainability of the sector of concern.

Filtration is used to remove yeast, proteins and other unwanted substances. Filtration is carried out by candle filters with kieselguhr, diatomaceous earth in a form of silica. In this study there are used three types of kieselguhr (DIF, CBL, CBL3). There are used different kieselguhr quantities for the same beer volume and is measured filtration time, turbidity and beer color. Experiments showed that a good filtration is ensured by using all three types of kieselguhr. It is important to set a sufficient first layer from 800 to 1000 g/m 2 kieselguhr and continues dosage depending on beer quality and quantity. Based on level of beer turbidity and color after filtration results that optimal doses of kieselguhr for first layer and optimal doses during dosage process are: DIF 67%, CBR 16.5%, CBL3 16.5% and CBR 40%, CBL3 60%, respectively.

The aim of this study was to investigate the fate of myclobutanil after its application in Starking and Golden Delicious cultivars. The apple trees were treated with maximum and minimum levels of recommended doses. The samples were collected randomly in different interval days after application. For identification and quantification of myclobutanil residues in apple fruit liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) technique was performed. The highest values of myclobutanil residues were found at the 1 st day after treatment and by the time the residue levels were decreased. Thus, the level of myclobutanil residues ranges from 0.928 mg kg-1 to 0.019 mg kg-1 and from 2.085 mg kg-1 to 0.086 mg kg-1 in Starking treated with the minimum and maximum doses respectively. Also, in the Golden Delicious cultivar the level of myclobutanil residues ranges from 0.878 mg kg-1 to 0.026 mg kg-1 and from 1.760 mg kg-1 to 0.092 mg kg-1 with the minimum and maximum applied doses at 1 st and 40 th day after application, respectively. Therefore, the samples treated with maximum recommended dose did not reach the MRL (0.6 mg kg-1) before the 14 th day after application, whereas the samples treated with minimum recommended dose reached MRL before 7th day after application. Therefore, the application of myclobutanil guarantees food safety for the consumer not only in minimum doses but even in maximal doses as well.

The moderate temperature and weather conditions provide an ideal climate for its development. As a matter of fact agriculture is one of the most important sectors in our country. According to the above-mentioned sector, irrigation water quality is an essential component of sustainable agriculture. Irrigation water concerns have often been neglected because of available good quality water supplies but recently in many areas, this situation is changing, as a result of human activities. The aim of this study is to help Albanian farmers providing and choosing suitable alternatives related to potential water quality problems that might reduce production under conditions of use.

They are mainly used as solvents, pesticides, fire retardants, degreasers, heat transmitters, chemical intermediates and are released in the environment due to their extensive use. This study presents a developing method for determination of chlorobenzenes in the soil, including extraction techniques, concentration, clean up and injection in GC-ECD system which was equipped with a DB-5 capillary column and an AS 2000 autosampler. The detection limit of the method was calculated based on the chlorobenzene recoveries of the presented analytical method and on the detection limits in GC of each chlorobenzes. The extraction with ASE technique presented the best results as the recoveries of MCB, 1,2,4-TCB and HCB from soil with were 100,5±2,5, 88,0±3,3 and 88,0±5,0, respectively. The detection limits of chlorobenzens in the GC-ECD varied from 0,38 pg/µl for HCB to 250,00 pg/µl for MCB. Also, the total recovery of chlorobenzenes was high for HCB (84,13 ± 4,30) and very low for MCB (9,80 ± 1,16). The values of method detection limits of chlorobenzenes in soil were from 0,14 µg/kg soil for HCB to 765,31 µg/kg soil for MCB, whereas other clorobenzenes had intermediate values. Therefore, by using this determination method, high chlorinated benzenes as HCB and PCB could be detected in very small amounts in soil samples.
