Namun, kondisi pandemi COVID-19 telah membuat interaksi sosial anak menjadi sangat terbatas. Studi ini adalah kajian literatur untuk mengetahui pentingnya kematangan sosial-emosional anak usia dini dalam persiapan memasuki Sekolah Dasar dan bagaimana cara stimulasinya. Studi ini diawali dengan menetapkan beberapa kata kunci yang relevan dengan topik penelitian, menerapkan kriteria inklusi pada artikel yang akan dicari, pencarian artikel, dan diakhiri dengan penulisan kajian literatur. Pada kondisi pandemi COVID-19, stimulasi berbasis rumah menjadi hal yang penting untuk dioptimalkan. Guru sebagai salah satu aktor utama dalam pendidikan perlu memiliki kemampuan penyesuaian diri ya... more Guru sebagai salah satu aktor utama dalam pendidikan perlu memiliki kemampuan penyesuaian diri yang baik agar mampu merespon ketidakpastian, perubahan, dan kebaruan secara efektif. Riset ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran hardiness dan dukungan sosial pada penyesuaian diri guru dalam konteks pembelajaran di masa pandemi Covid-19 di tingkat sekolah dasar. Sebanyak 198 guru di tingkat sekolah dasar terlibat dalam studi survei kuantitatif ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan convenience sampling sebagai teknik sampling dan menggunakan analisis regresi berganda untuk menganalisis data yang diperoleh. Tiga instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah skala hardiness, skala penyesuaian diri, dan skala dukungan sosial. Hasil analisis membuktikan bahwa secara simultan hardiness dan dukungan sosial berperan pada penyesuaian diri guru dengan sumbangan efektif sebesar 47,8% (F = 89,21; p < 0,01). The pandemic situation that occurs often has a psychological impact on the people who experience ... more The pandemic situation that occurs often has a psychological impact on the people who experience it. This community service program aims to provide psychoeducation to the public regarding the psychological impacts that may be felt due to the COVID-19 situation. The program is carried out online in the form of UKP Bersinergi UKP Berbagi through WhatsApp, Live Instagram, and Zoom Meeting lectures. This program was held four times in April-October 2020. The keynote speakers in this program are psychologists, while the participants are educational personnel at UGM for Whatsapp lectures and public for Live Instagram and Zoom Meeting. Based on the evaluation given after the event, the UKP Bersinergi UKP Berbagi program is considered eff ective in providing psychoeducation for participants. This can be seen from the positive response submitted through the evaluation form. In addition, the results of a satisfaction survey related to the UKP Bersinergi UKP Berbagi program during the COVID-19 pandemic showed that most of the participants were satisfi ed with the services provided.

Teaching and learning is an emotional experience and teachers play a crucial role in the nature o... more Teaching and learning is an emotional experience and teachers play a crucial role in the nature of this experience. There is consistent evidence that shows a significant relationship between teachers' emotion, emotion regulation and social-emotional skills, and students' emotional, social and academic outcomes (Jennings & Greenberg, 2009). However, little is known about teachers' emotional style, especially in an Indonesian context. This thesis aims to explore the underlying dimensions of the Indonesian primary school teachers' socialemotional practices. A mixed-methods research design was employed. The first, qualitative research phase was conducted using classroom observations, focus group discussions and individual interviews. Twelve Indonesian primary school teachers who were nominated as having excellent social and emotional skills and 45 students were recruited for this phase. The observation notes and teachers' and students' statements were transcribed verbatim. A thematic approach was used for data analysis. Key emergent themes included teachers' relational philosophies about their work, teachers' sense of duty to nurture students, teachers' strategies to regulate their emotions and teachers' attempts to establish classroom harmony. Based on the findings of the qualitative phase, two separate measurements to assess teachers' social-emotional practices called Teachers' Social-Emotional Practices-teachers' perspectives (TSEP-T) and teachers' social and emotional practices-and Students' Perspectives (TSEP-S) were developed. Subsequently, in Study 2, multidimensional scaling and hierarchical cluster analysis were applied to the data to produce visual representations of the structure of teacherperceived and student-perceived teachers' social-emotional practices. In Study 3, the nature of teachers' social-emotional practices was further investigated by administering TSEP-T to 90 teachers and TSEP-S to 333 students. From teachers' data, five highly applicable clusters of social-emotional behaviours across five style patterns were identified, while from students' data, eight highly applicable clusters of teachers' social-emotional behaviours across ten style patterns were identified. Finally, the associations between the identified clusters and styles with a student-teacher relationship, student connectedness and wellbeing were explored using ANOVA. Following the survey method with focus group discussion and in-depth studies, the study involved 8 Early Childhood School in East-Java Province, nine schools in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, and ten schools in WestJava. After analyzing the data, this study arrived at some interpretative points. Sekolah inklusi yang memfasilitasi keberagaman dapat meningkatkan terjadinya konflik antar siswa. Konflik terjadi karena kurangnya keterampilan dalam mengatur emosi. Oleh karena itu guru memiliki tugas dalam mendukung perkembangan regulasi emosi siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji secara empirik peran persepsi siswa atas keterampilan sosial-emosional guru terhadap regulasi emosi siswa sekolah inklusi. YouTube termasuk salah satu program video berbasis internet terpopuler di dunia yang dapat diakses melalui telepon pintar. Peran pengawasan orang tua dan kontrol diri anak menjadi kunci utama untuk meminimalisir penggunaan telepon pintar yang berlebihan, sebab penggunaan telepon pintar yang berlebihan dapat mengganggu berbagai aspek perkembangan. This study investigated a strategy of reducing bullying in elementary school through “Guru Peduli... more This study investigated a strategy of reducing bullying in elementary school through “Guru Peduli” (“Teacher Care”) training. It was a training done for teachers. It aimed to increase teachers’ awareness, knowledge and skills to prevent and reduce bullying. The aim of this quasi-experimental research was to test the effectiveness of “Guru Peduli” training for reducing elementary school bullying. Two elementary schools were involved as the experimental and control groups. There were six classes were for class observation and six locations for playground observation. The observations were done before and after the training. The data were analyzed with Wilcoxon Signed-Rank and Mann-Whitney test. The data showed that there was a significant difference of bullying between the experimental and control schools. The mental health effects of this pandemic can include anxiety of contamination and death as well as feelings of isolation. Counseling has been proved as an effective method of supporting the physical and psychosocial needs of the individual affected. Technological advancement makes it possible for psychologists and clients to carry out counseling sessions without the needs of physical presence in one place by utilizing various modes of telecommunication. This form of counseling is known as telecounseling. As a relatively new form of counseling in Indonesia, numerous aspects need to be considered in implementing telecounseling. This article aims to explore the considerations taken in conducting telecounseling sessions in Indonesia. This study was aimed to determine the difference of adolescents’ social competence based on their... more This study was aimed to determine the difference of adolescents’ social competence based on their mothers’ working and non-working status and parenting styles. The interaction between mothers’ work status and their parenting styles in determining adolescents’ social competence was also tested. A total number of 292 Junior High School students whose ages ranged from 11 to15 years old were involved in this study. Data were collected using online questionnaires of social Competence and parenting styles and were analyzed using two-way ANOVA. The results reveal no difference in social competence between adolescents whose mothers are working and those whose mothers are not working. However, a significant difference of the adolescents’ social competence was found when it is based on mothers’ parenting styles.
