This research is carried out to examine the effect of human resources management (HRM) practice o... more This research is carried out to examine the effect of human resources management (HRM) practice on employee performance and mediating role of employee engagement. Survey data has been collected among the front line to top level public sector in developer property industry. This study has used a sample of 318 employees using a stratified sampling technique. To analyse the data, this study has employed Smart PLS 3.0 version software. The result reveals that HRM practices namely, training and development, compensation, job security and promotion are significant and positively related to employee performance. The result also shows that, employee engagement can mediate the relationship between HRM practices and employee performance. This study uses social exchange theory as a guideline to examine and understand the relationship between HRM practice, and employee performance towards employee engagement. In addition, this study also makes important contributions for the practitioners who are in the field of public sectors particularly for managers who actually want to invest their resources for the well-being of their employees in preparing towards Industry 4.0. Future research could replicate and extend this study by adding other variables and samples from different industries to offer a better understanding of employee engagement at workplace.

Now ASEAN has become a successful regional organization in bringing the attention of the other countries in rest of the world. Generally, ASEAN has successfully nurtures the cooperation in political, economical, social and cultural with establishment in exercise and research facilities for shared interest. Nowadays, ASEAN roles and influence has strong base in Southeast Asia and South Asia regions. ASEAN has taken place as important body in Asia Pacific political stream through Asian Regional Forum (ARF), where it is successful to create attention of various countries not only in Asia region but also United States of America and Europe involvement. Nevertheless, beside the successful story and prosperity achieved by ASEAN at this moment it has uniqueness when it has to face challenges at the early stage of ASEAN establishment. This journal will touch on history and ASEAN life story and explain What and How ASEAN able to strengthen its role and existence at the time Southeast Asia countries need an organization with the ability to unite all the countries in Southeast Asia region.

The aim of the study is to evaluate the effects of a workplace bullying intervention based on the... more The aim of the study is to evaluate the effects of a workplace bullying intervention based on the training of middle managers regarding bullying awareness, the consequences of bullying, strategies in conflict resolution and mediation/negotiation abilities. Overall, 142 randomly selected middle managers participated in the study. First, participants completed an information record and two scales assessing bullying strategies, role conflict and role ambiguity. The last two scales were completed again in a second phase three months after the intervention had finished. The intervention produced a decrease in the following bullying strategies: effects on self-expression and communication, effects on personal reputation and effects on occupational situation and quality of life, with all of the mentioned bullying strategies being suffered by part of the sample.
