The classroom as a place for learning and teaching requires quality lighting. This study uses a classroom for case studies, namely at Perti Tomang Islamic Vocational School, West Jakarta, but is limited in terms of illuminance. Based on measurements, the illuminance of this classroom does not meet SNI room lighting standards. For this reason, illumination interventions are needed in the classroom, in the form of increased lighting. Improved lighting has an impact on increasing the use of electric power, for this reason efforts are needed to save energy. The problem is how to increase lighting and save energy at the same time. The purpose of this study was to determine the number of classroom lamps so that they achieve illuminance according to SNI, but still achieve energy saving. Vi... more Videotron is a medium that shows videos, which are currently widely used as advertising media. Videotron is installed on the side of the road to attract motorists and pedestrians to view advertisements. Besides being used as an advertising, videotron is also used by local governments as information medium for the public. But, the light effect of the videotron if excessive and also the sudden change in light, greatly affects motorized vehicle users and pedestrians. The existence of this glare effect needs special attention, for that the PKM team partnered with the Indonesian Illuminating Engineering Society (HTII), to measure videotron lighting. HTII is a professional association engaged in lighting, which also pays attention to videotron lighting, especially the glare effects caused by videotron lighting, which if excessive will interfere with the visual comfort and safety of road users, especially motorized vehicle users. The measurement method is field measurements using a luminance meter measuring instrument, namely by measuring the luminance value of the videotrone lighting. Measurements were carried out along Thamrin road, especially in the Indonesian hotel roundabout area. The purpose of the measurement is not only to determine the luminance value of the videotron, but also for the DKI Jakarta Regional Government and other regional governments as the videotron management party, in making rules for videotron. The results of this PKM are videotron measurement data, namely the luminance and illuminance values, in the form of tables or graphs, for easier further analysis.

To get optimal lighting performance, a light source is needed that can meet the needs of lighting levels in accordance with the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) regarding lighting for medium-scale industrial workplaces or laboratory rooms of educational institutions. Based on the need for a good lighting system, a system in the form of Automatic dimming light was designed that can be programmed to meet the lighting standards according to SNI. The lamp has a controller design concept that automatically uses a 10 watt bulb which is able to provide 500 lux lighting at a distance of 40 cm from the table surface. Using the light intensity sensor module to read the light intensity value so that the lighting can be processed by Arduino Uno and then forwarded to the bulb. It aims to provide adequate lighting in accordance with the desired standard, which is 500 lux.

Menghindari permasalahan pengkabelan pada instalasi peralatan interkom dan dengan memanfaatkan infrastruktur jaringan listrik rumah untuk pengiriman maka dirancanglah alat interkom melalui jala-jala listrik. Alat interkom melalui jala-jala listrik adalah interkom yang pengaplikasian jalur komunikasinya memanfaatkan kabel listrik PLN ( jala-jala listrik ). Many streets in DKI Jakarta don’t have sufficient lighting, and so do tunnels. This research aim is to know the lighting of two tunnels, located on Tomang junction and Jl. TB Simatupang, by measuring illuminance and luminance with light meter. Night time illuminance of first tunnel is 32 - 120 lux. Illuminance of second tunnel is 53 - 163 lux. Theses values are far above SNI value which is 20 - 25 lux. Meanwhile the lighting before tunnel entrance and after exit zone are not sufficient (below 8 lux), causing driver’ sight to feel uncomfortable when he enters or exits tunnel (black hole effect). HPS lamps of Tomang tunnel give yellow color impression but TB Simatupang tunnel gives white-yellow color impression because of alternate installation of HPS lamps with some LED lamps on treshold zone. The presence of road lighting helps a car driver to identify nearby cars. The availability of roa... more The presence of road lighting helps a car driver to identify nearby cars. The availability of road lighting can also reduce the occurrence of security disturbances however it has not been considered as the cause of accident. A study was conducted to analyze the visual perception of car drivers toward the road lighting. The research was conducted on Cikampek and Cipularang freeways which include straight and curved road sections. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires as the measurements instrument by asking the participants to watch the video footage of the freeway. The results show that the car drivers feel safer and more clarity in identifying the traffic signs and road marking in the presence of road lighting. Furthermore, yellowish road lighting provides more visual safety perception than white lighting which opposed with other previous studies. This result was obtained from the existing condition in the questionnaires without any control variable.

The measurement results indicate that the level of lighting in the tunnel does not meet the SNI standards. Then based on those lighting measurement, a tunnel model was developed to make a simulation of lighting level in the tunnel. This paper will discussed the influence of tunnel ceiling shape on the distribution of lighting levels in the tunnel. Simulation is done with the help of DIALUX software.

Penulis ingin mencoba membuat suatu sistem pemberian pakan ikan mas di dalam kolam yang diatur de... more Penulis ingin mencoba membuat suatu sistem pemberian pakan ikan mas di dalam kolam yang diatur dengan PC untuk menentukan dosis pakan yang dibutuhkan setiap hari sesuai dengan bobot ikan di kolam melalui proses komputasi, dimana untuk penuangan dosis pakan dan pemberian pakan akan menggunakan stepper motor yang dikendalikan oleh mikrokontroler sehingga pakan dapat diberikan secara otomatis. Perancangan ini terdiri dari 2 bagian yaitu perangkat keras ( hardware ) dan perangkat lunak ( software ). Perangkat keras sistem ini terdiri dari 5 modul yaitu power supply, 7 segment, relay, mikrokontroler, dan rangkaian RS-232. Perangkat lunak sistem ini adalah berupa pemrograman assembly untuk mikrokontroler AT89C51, dan program Visual Basic 6.0 untuk PC. Hasil yang diperoleh dari model sistem yang dibuat ini adalah dapat digunakan untuk menentukan jumlah kuantitas dosis pakan yang dibutuhkan setiap hari, serta menggunakan stepper motor yang dikendalikan oleh mikrokontroler sehingga pemberian pakan dapat dilakukan secara otomatis, selain itu jumlah total pellet yang telah dimakan oleh ikan akan selalu ter- update sesuai waktu pemberian pakan dan langsung tersimpan pada PC, oleh karena itu, apabila listrik mati secara tiba-tiba maka tidak akan mengganggu hasil dari proses komputasi sehingga pertumbuhan ikan akan sesuai dengan jumlah pakan yang telah dimakan tersebut.

This research analyzes the performance of LED lights installed on Pattimura street, which are in ... more This research analyzes the performance of LED lights installed on Pattimura street, which are in front of PW building, in front of Al-Azhar building, and in front of house compounds, and on Satrio street, which are in front of and across CityWalk Mall and across Ciputra World I building. The testing is done by measuring the illuminance (the unit is lux) with luxmeter on the measurement zone which has certain measurement points. The LED lights on Pattimura street have power of 237 watt, light distance of 50 meter, pole height of 9 meter, and street width of 6.9 meter. The testing result shows that the lighting on street surface is SNI compliant, which means the LED light can be used for street lighting. But there is high illuminance on measuring point which is perpendicular to light and it means light pollution. On the contrary the illuminance decreases significantly on the zone between the light pole and it is not SNI compliant. For this reason, the distance between light pole and the light power should be decreased. The result also has the isolux drawing and it is designed with Dialux software. The branches of trees on both streets cover the light so that the illuminance of street surface decreases. And this matter should be handled by DKI Jakarta government.

The purpose of calibrating the sound level meter is to solve the problem of inequality of measurement results when measuring using the instrument. Calibration of the sound level is focused on the calibration of the Band Pass Filter with a frequency range of 63 Hz - 8000 Hz with several measuring points, namely 63 Hz, 125 Hz, 250 Hz, 500 Hz, 1000 Hz, 2000 Hz, 4000 Hz and 8000 Hz based on ISO / IEC 61672-3: 2017. Many streets in DKI Jakarta don’t have sufficient lighting, and so do tunnels. This research aim is to know the lighting of two tunnels, located on Tomang junction and Jl. TB Simatupang, by measuring illuminance and luminance with light meter. Night time illuminance of first tunnel is 32 - 120 lux. Illuminance of second tunnel is 53 - 163 lux. Theses values are far above SNI value which is 20 - 25 lux. Meanwhile the lighting before tunnel entrance and after exit zone are not sufficient (below 8 lux), causing driver’ sight to feel uncomfortable when he enters or exits tunnel (black hole effect). HPS lamps of Tomang tunnel give yellow color impression but TB Simatupang tunnel gives white-yellow color impression because of alternate installation of HPS lamps with some LED lamps on treshold zone. The availability of road lighting can also reduce the occurrence of security disturbances however it has not been considered as the cause of accident. A study was conducted to analyze the visual perception of car drivers toward the road lighting. The research was conducted on Cikampek and Cipularang freeways which include straight and curved road sections. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires as the measurements instrument by asking the participants to watch the video footage of the freeway. The results show that the car drivers feel safer and more clarity in identifying the traffic signs and road marking in the presence of road lighting. Furthermore, yellowish road lighting provides more visual safety perception than white lighting which opposed with other previous studies. This result was obtained from the existing condition in the questionnaires without any control variable.

The measurement results indicate that the level of lighting in the tunnel does not meet the SNI standards. Then based on those lighting measurement, a tunnel model was developed to make a simulation of lighting level in the tunnel. This paper will discussed the influence of tunnel ceiling shape on the distribution of lighting levels in the tunnel. Simulation is done with the help of DIALUX software.

Penulis ingin mencoba membuat suatu sistem pemberian pakan ikan mas di dalam kolam yang diatur de... more Penulis ingin mencoba membuat suatu sistem pemberian pakan ikan mas di dalam kolam yang diatur dengan PC untuk menentukan dosis pakan yang dibutuhkan setiap hari sesuai dengan bobot ikan di kolam melalui proses komputasi, dimana untuk penuangan dosis pakan dan pemberian pakan akan menggunakan stepper motor yang dikendalikan oleh mikrokontroler sehingga pakan dapat diberikan secara otomatis. Perancangan ini terdiri dari 2 bagian yaitu perangkat keras ( hardware ) dan perangkat lunak ( software ). Perangkat keras sistem ini terdiri dari 5 modul yaitu power supply, 7 segment, relay, mikrokontroler, dan rangkaian RS-232. Perangkat lunak sistem ini adalah berupa pemrograman assembly untuk mikrokontroler AT89C51, dan program Visual Basic 6.0 untuk PC. Hasil yang diperoleh dari model sistem yang dibuat ini adalah dapat digunakan untuk menentukan jumlah kuantitas dosis pakan yang dibutuhkan setiap hari, serta menggunakan stepper motor yang dikendalikan oleh mikrokontroler sehingga pemberian pakan dapat dilakukan secara otomatis, selain itu jumlah total pellet yang telah dimakan oleh ikan akan selalu ter- update sesuai waktu pemberian pakan dan langsung tersimpan pada PC, oleh karena itu, apabila listrik mati secara tiba-tiba maka tidak akan mengganggu hasil dari proses komputasi sehingga pertumbuhan ikan akan sesuai dengan jumlah pakan yang telah dimakan tersebut.

This research analyzes the performance of LED lights installed on Pattimura street, which are in ... more This research analyzes the performance of LED lights installed on Pattimura street, which are in front of PW building, in front of Al-Azhar building, and in front of house compounds, and on Satrio street, which are in front of and across CityWalk Mall and across Ciputra World I building. The testing is done by measuring the illuminance (the unit is lux) with luxmeter on the measurement zone which has certain measurement points. The LED lights on Pattimura street have power of 237 watt, light distance of 50 meter, pole height of 9 meter, and street width of 6.9 meter. The testing result shows that the lighting on street surface is SNI compliant, which means the LED light can be used for street lighting. But there is high illuminance on measuring point which is perpendicular to light and it means light pollution. On the contrary the illuminance decreases significantly on the zone between the light pole and it is not SNI compliant. For this reason, the distance between light pole and the light power should be decreased. The result also has the isolux drawing and it is designed with Dialux software. The branches of trees on both streets cover the light so that the illuminance of street surface decreases. And this matter should be handled by DKI Jakarta government.

A sound level meter needs to be calibrated to determine the accuracy. The purpose of calibrating the sound level meter is to solve the problem of inequality of measurement results when measuring using the instrument. Calibration of the sound level is focused on the calibration of the Band Pass Filter with a frequency range of 63 Hz - 8000 Hz with several measuring points, namely 63 Hz, 125 Hz, 250 Hz, 500 Hz, 1000 Hz, 2000 Hz, 4000 Hz and 8000 Hz based on ISO / IEC 61672-3: 2017. In this research, a tool to calibrate the sound level meter is designed which can work automatically without moving the measuring point selector.
