The first volume of the "History of the Second World War" covers the period from the end of the First World War to the autumn of 1935. Its first part is devoted to the origin of war in the system of world imperialism, showing fascism as a strike force of imperialism and militarism, and the history of the emergence of the first centers of a new world war. The second part of the volume reveals the world-historical significance of the construction of socialism in the USSR, the development of its Armed Forces, the intense struggle of the peace-loving peoples, led by the Soviet Union, against the danger of a new world war.

It contains documents describing the industrial development of the country during the third five-year plan (before the start of the Great Patriotic War) and thus completes the all-union volumes of the series.

By the end of the second five-year plan, the Soviet Union had successfully completed, in the main, the building of a socialist society. The victory of socialism opened up tremendous opportunities for the development and improvement of the productive forces of Soviet society, its political and spiritual life.

We live in a world where the average people get their world view from the bourgeois media; press,... more We live in a world where the average people get their world view from the bourgeois media; press, TV, Hollywood movies, soap operas and from the bourgeois academicians and intellectuals some may even claim to be "objective" and" realist”. As Marx and Engels stated; those who own the means of production at the same time own the means of mental production” as a consequence of which people are turned in to paraquets who repeat the narratives of the bourgeois in any given subject or event, and who forms a point of view either aligned with or heavily influenced by the bourgeois point of view. This is not a coincidence but an expected result under the current conditions for the general population. However, for those who claim to be Marxist, or Marxist-Leninist, this is not a coincidence but an indication of a revisionist, reformist tendency or lack of theoretical knowledge and/or the lack of the knowledge and ability to apply the dialectics of Marxism to the theories and given conditions. It is for this reason that these people are against any wars, against any dictatorships, against any “dictators”, against any anti-imperialist struggles, etc., etc.. Not forgetting the fact that every dictator has a class force behind him/her, our subject here is related to the “dictator” in a class “dictatorship”, specifically in a “proletarian dictatorship.”

Government uses them through “leaking information” to them, in most cases, to carry out and disseminate their narratives. That is the manipulation of the masses with disinformation through the use of “well known” columnists to go along with their narratives for any given action. Another function of these columnists is to prepare the masses for any decisions to be taken which will be contrary to the narratives for the same action. Since, a sharp change in the narrative and the direction of the policy on that given “action” is not a preferable alternative, for it creates a shock and raises the issue of credibility, while keeping the same narrative going, they start injecting the truth in their articles that contradicts the narrative.
