The proposed implementation is based on the quasi-block state-space description of IIR digital filter corresponding to the case of parallel combination of second-order sections. Performance comparison (in terms of hardware complexity and speed) of the proposed implementation with another existing implementation is also presented.

For a conventional cluster-based spectrum sensing (CBSS) algorithms, all cognitive radios (CRs) in one cluster forward their local decisions through only one channel which leads to incur large sensing overhead. In this work the multi-levels hierarchical cluster-based spectrum sensing (MH-CBSS) algorithm is used to investigate sensing agility and total energy consumption. Simulation results show that the MHCBSS algorithm provides higher sensing agility and consumes less energy than that consumed by the conventional CBSS algorithm.

In this approach, the error measure is formulated as a quadratic function and the filter coefficients are o W e d by solving a set of linear equations. The proposed approach is more efficient than the eigenfilter approach regarding the amount of computation and design time. Moreover, the proposed approach leads to smaller least-squares errors. Design examples are included to illustrate the advantages of the approach.

This enhancement makes meeting stringent quality of service (QoS) requirements particularly prevalent in safety applications of Dedicated Short Range Communications (DSRC). We show that emergency-Passive Cooperative Collision Warning (ePCCW) enhances EV performance in particular, and measurement of the effect on surrounding vehicles relative to the desired EVs is also ...

Due to the fact that the DSRC system has different data rates according to its modulation and coding schemes, a minimum SNR threshold for different data rates is required for successful message transmission. This paper provides the different SNR ratios for the varying data rates used in the current DSRC IEEE802. 11p standard. More specifically, our model and ...
