Teaching terminology makes ESP difficult not only for the students, but also for the lecturers. As the students lack the scientific approach to different topics explained to them, lecturers analyze the texts in detail, dealing with grammar, lexicology, semantics etc. One of the key issues that ESP analyzes in detail is terminology, which is definitely explained through parsing the word into its constituents and dealing with other complex word formation techniques. The basic techniques often dealt with are compounding and derivation. However the lecturer must know the subjects considerably beyond the content s/he is expected to teach, have a strong background in the subjects related to the specialty area, and understand major concepts, assumptions, and debates that are central to the discipline they teach. Thus the role of the lecturer is to analyze texts from the linguistic viewpoint. Keywords: ESP, compo...

There are different reactions to "therapeutic communication" as all patients differ in their characters, background, social status, culture, etc. This article will also compare the role of the nurse as compared to that of the doctor. They must both master efficient therapeutic techniques of communication in order to establish empathy towards the experience that the patient reveals. it is of great importance for them to have communicative therapeutic skills in order to successfully apply the communicative process as well as to fulfil the standards of healthcare for the patients. Through therapeutic communication they should est...

Both languages display a variety of word formation techniques, but their classifications according to different ways are not in complete conformity with each other. An example of this is "pëngjitja"1, which in Albanian is classified as an independent class form the compound nouns, while in English it appears under the heading of "compounds". The paper will also highlight spelling and phonetic differences in both languages. In Albanian language the "përngjitja" is formed by the monomial of word group or phrase, a prepositional phrase or a group of words in general. The syntactic relations between the terms of the phrase or the group are usually preserved clearly, even in the structure of the newly formed word -të përngjitur. In English compounding, which also in...

Qualitative and quantitative examinations were carried out for each individual through Baerman technique. A total of 191 sheep of different ages (144 sheep and 47 lambs) were examined for lungworm infection. The faecal examination showed that the most widespread kind was Dictyocaulus filaria, which was found in 20.13 %. The representatives of the Protostrongylidae family were found in 15.97 % of the controlled sheep. The sheeps were identified as follows: Cystocaulus nigrescens in 9.2%, Protostrongylus rufescens in 4.6%, Muellerius capillaris in 3.7% and Neostrongylus linearis in 1.8%. Samples were taken and examined from 4 goat farms which were bred in the mountainous area 700 metres above sea level. In total were controlled 81 samples, out of which 66 goats and 15 kids. The goats resulted positive as follows: 17.64 % of them from Prostrongyloidea family and 22.05 % from...

Compounding is considered as one of the most prolific word formation techniques in both languages. The study is made up of three basic parts: compounding is analysed theoretically; compound pronouns collected by the Dictionary of Contemporary Albanian Language and Oxford Student’s Dictionary are analysed; conclusions are drawn as of their similarities and differences. Albanian language provides interesting results as it includes a specific category of pronouns under a different heading than compounding and that is agglutinated pronouns. Compound pronouns are analysed quantitatively and qualitatively in both languages. Quantitative analysis deals with their positioning in relation to all compound words per each dictionary. Qualitative analysis deals with the elements constituting the compound pronouns. The study also pinpoints the differences and similarities between compound pronouns when translated from English i...
