In this study, it was aimed to determine the effect of orange peel powder addition to laying quai... more In this study, it was aimed to determine the effect of orange peel powder addition to laying quail diets on performance, egg external and internal quality, and egg antioxidant activity. A total of 120 female Japanese quails were randomly allocated to 6 treatment groups with 5 replicates each. Treatment groups were formed by supplementing 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 g/kg orange peel powder to the basal diet. Performance parameters such as body weight, body weight change, egg production, egg weight, egg mass, feed intake, and feed conversion ratio and egg quality parameters of laying quails were not affected by the addition of orange peel to the diet. Egg yolk DPPH (2,2 diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) activity increased linearly with the addition of orange peel powder to the diet compared to the control group, but this effect was not observed at egg yolk TBARs (thiobarbituric acid reactive substances) level. Domates meyvelerinin fiziksel ozelliklerinden geometrik, hacimsel ve renk ozellikleri (boyutlar, kuresellik, geometrik ortalama cap, yuzey alani, yigin hacim agirligi, meyve hacim agirligi, porozite, L*, a*, b* renk karakteristikleri), mekanik ozellikleri [(domatesin X uzunluk ve Y genislik eksenleri icin kabuk yirtilma kuvveti, deformasyon, deformasyon enerjisi, statik surtunme katsayisi ile domatesin sap kopma direnci)] ile kimyasal ozelliklerinden suda cozunebilir kuru madde, pH ve titre edilebilir asitlik belirlenmistir. Botrytis cinerea, a polyphagous pathogen, can infect all of the aboveground parts of tomato plant... more Botrytis cinerea, a polyphagous pathogen, can infect all of the aboveground parts of tomato plants and cause significant yield and quality losses. Fungicides are commonly used for the control of this pathogen. Currently, resistance to fungicides, which provide the effective and fast control of pathogens, is an important problem. In this study, resistance of B. cinerea isolates obtained from tomato greenhouses in Antalya province against Signum® (boscalid + pyraclostrobin) and Cantus® (boscalid) fungicides were evaluated under in vitro conditions. Mycelium growth tests conducted with different fungicide concentrations and EC50 values were calculated. While EC50 values of isolates sensitive to boscalid varied between 0.7 and 8.6 μg/ml, EC50 values of isolates sensitive to boscalid + pyraclostrobin were found to be between 0.1 and 1.9 μg/ml.
